End of the 4th hour. I screwed up and wasted time (and a little money). I forgot to put antennae on my Mun probes. Luckily, I caught the error before they got too far, and was able to collect some science and recover them intact. *EDIT* End of 5th hour. I've corrected the mistake and have 2 good probes on their way to the Mun, but lost an hour of valuable daylight in the process. From here on out, I'll do daily updates instead of hourly. Towerator's caveman season 2, epilogue: A long, long time

Thoroughly enjoying this -Slashy -
Likewise, don't let anyone else impose their idea of how the game "should" be on the rest of the community. If the OP wants the info that mods provide and can't work without them, that's his affair. The problem is the game is too hard for him without mods, and he wants to make the game easier for everyone in order to remedy it. I support the alternative, which is the game should stay as difficult as it currently is, and he can either learn to do without the mods when necessary or wait until the mods catch up. The game is fine as- is. Best, -Slashy

Javster, It's perfectly playable without mods, and trial and error isn't required. The reason that info isn't provided is because they want to encourage you to learn the math and engineering principles of aerospace engineering. So IRT the OP, my advice is this: Stop relying on mods to do your job for you, and learn how to do it yourself. It's easy once you get the hang of it. Best, -Slashy

Gargamel, Actually the quote comes from @Freshmeat , and is more meant as advice to new players who aspire to get really good at KSP. I do agree with your point though. Using MJ or KER as a convenience is fine, but you shouldn't need them. Learn the math and do it by hand until you're comfortable with it, then gin up a spreadsheet to do the drudge work for you. #1 it's educational and #2 your program won't wind up grounded every time there's an update. End of the second hour. My first orbital flight was supposed to be a test of the science reentry capsule. I screwed up and forgot the decoupler, so the test never happened. I did, however, recover the high altitude flight science and successfully recover the probe. I'll try again on the orbital science missions (this time without the "oops"). After that, I'll shoot 2 Munar probes and get back to harvesting Kerbin science. Best, -Slashy

Kerbals have never needed parachutes. They're really just a stylish accessory. Best, -Slashy -

A minor note that'll probably get lost in the shuffle: The LV-T45 has been de-buffed and the Twin-Boar now costs a little more. I don't see either of these changes as a bad thing. Best, -Slashy ^ Not true. Operator error. -
FWIW, I just fired up and played my downloaded copy of 1.3.1. No ToS or privacy policy pop-up there. Best, -Slashy

All, The forum guidelines in the Announcements sub- forum are still the old version. The ones in the FAQ bar have been updated. The only difference between them is that references to "Squad" have been changed to "Take Two". There are no material changes in the forum rules. What was permissible yesterday is permissible today. Note that this only applies to the forum guidelines, *not* the ToS or privacy policy. Best, -Slashy

qzgy, I seem to remember it being there. I don't remember "flat Earth" being off- limits, but I'm kinda glad it is now. The entire subject makes my butt tired Best, -Slashy
-
Whoops, nevermind. Just got the pop-up. I'm cool with the forum rules for the most part. The stuff I don't agree with... I guess it's immaterial what I think. Best, -Slashy
-
Hmm... I thought I was going to have to agree to new ToS and privacy policy in order to access the forum. Apparently not... Best, -Slashy
-
Just read the legalese in the privacy policy, and it looks pretty draconian to my untrained eye. I would have to agree to the terms in order to access my account starting tomorrow. Should I be concerned to the point where it's better to stay off the forum, or is it not that big a deal? Thanks, -Slashy

GoSlash27 replied to Yakuzi's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Other. I'm staying stock to keep commonality with the majority of players. Best, -Slashy -
