  1. For now, the KERB is not publicly available... Roverdude made it specially for the Bigelow show. I'll be talking with Bigelow in the coming weeks about an official modpack with BEAM, 330, Olympus... etc. Seems there's a lot of interest.
  2. Uploaded version has 25% the acceleration as before, but it's a balance between visual feedback for moves and wagglediness.
  3. Did you see the ULA show? 100+ successful rocket launches... and we spent an entire hour talking about Cislunar1000/ACES/XEUS with Tory Bruno. http://www.twitch.tv/dasvaldez/v/53283711 Craft and wallpaper downloads! K-ISS Kanadarm Edition: 7DOF IR Kanadarm2 capable of "walking" around the station via grapple! Falcon9 Boostback + Cargo Dragon w/Trunk. Retractable strongback and pad fashion lighting! K-ISS Wallpapers: Dragon Wallpapers
  4. As a necro update, I had this problem during a stream earlier. The fix is to start up the Synergy "window", not just the service... opening the synergy management window then using it's 'Hide" function fixes the lack of shift key.
  5. Errr... so trying to make a stock strongback that retracts at luxury speed... and things don't go exactly as planned: https://www.twitch.tv/dasvaldez/v/66114949 One day I'll figure out how to embed video into a forum post...
  6. Dragon and Falcon are stock, ISS is just IR, the IR Model Rework, KAS, and Near Future Solar. I have a full stock ISS as well with no Canadarm and more part intensive stock solar arrays, will up[load and post here after the stream
  7. Top post updated with my terrible gfx design abilities. I'll stick to streaming...
  8. Thanks! The Kanadarm is a blast to operate... if a bit squirmy... Roverdude's KERB fits the station perfectly! I will be uploading the craft files at the end of the show, I have both a full Stock and Modded ISS which runs very well in 1.1. ISS is launched as one piece... good times, heh!
  9. I've been working on a bit of a special project, and thanks to @RoverDudewe finished up a bit of a sneak peek tonight. It turned out so awesomely I had to share it here... whew! Today (5/12) I'm going to have a few special guests on my Kerbal Space Academy Twitch stream (twitch.tv/dasvaldez)... Engineers from Bigelow Aerospace will be joining me for a live Q&A and Kerbal Demonstration of the Bigelow Expandable Activity Module (BEAM) which is currently installed on the ISS IRL and scheduled for expansion in about 2.5 weeks. The Bigelow staff will be around for about an hour answering questions and talking about the mission, starting at 5 PM EDT, while I perform the tasks in KSP. Roverdude knocked out a very Kerbaly KERB... the Kerbalow Expandable Recreation Bubble, complete with IVA, and tonight I was able to deliver it to my K-ISS via a Falcon (boostback and ship landing capable) with a Dragon on top. I have a fully functional Kanadarm2 made with iR + the iR Model Rework pack by @ZodiusInfuser... it's able to capture and berth the Dragon, remove the KERB from the trunk, and install it over on Tranquility Node 3 right next to our Kerbal-sized cupola. Stream and Q&A will be open to the public... I plan to spool up around 3 PM EDT May 12th and the Bigelow guests will join me at 5 PM.
  10. Just wanted to say that this mod is legit. TY!
  11. Updated, thanks for the ping @Nhawks17!
  12. I've been building "extensible" infrastructure in KSP since I started playing, inspired by the Von Braun style Space Transport System. I think I originally caught the bug when I stumbled across some art from Drell7 on deviantart. STS style tug missions were some of the first things I streamed on Twitch. The ACES concept was pretty close to this, and I floated it as one of the show topics to ULA... really, it gave me some cool ships to show off and fly during the hour long Q&A session, which covered everything from Vulcan to cube sats to Tory making rockets as a youth.
  13. It is a project we are working on with ULA's input. Squad is in the loop as well. Not sure exactly how to label it as "official" yet... not sure if it's "Asteroid day" style or "ULA Official Mod for KSP" style. Stay tuned.
  14. Absolutely, will update when the VOD link is ready! Sanic... We're sticking to stock for now... at least, until the official ULA mod is released... Wait, what?
  15. Excellent, thx Kata! I know it's late for UTC... Mr Bruno live in MST, and I'm EST... we definitely worked around his availability in the even. There will of course be the VODs... I'll update the post with links after the show.
  16. The number of space and science professionals who love KSP continues to blow me away. In a sort of good way... as opposed to a "green smear on the VAB" sort of way. Tory Bruno (CEO of United Launch Alliance) will be appearing on our KSA Twitch stream. As in, the CEO of ULA... like, "Delta/Atlas Rocket Launch in the Real World ULA". Info: What: KSP Livestream w/ Tory Bruno Why: Exploring ULA's future tech plans in KSP When: Tuesday March 8th, at 9 PM EST (9 Mar, 2 AM UTC) Where: http://www.twitch.tv/dasvaldez We'll be talking about Vulcan, ACES, and ULA's CisLunar-1000 initiative... while we build them in KSP and use them to perform missions. I've already spent the last couple of weeks on the show creating a new KSP career and building up to the "advanced"/extensible upper stage tech level... so I've got a save with a lot of craft in play I'll be showing off to Mr Bruno, while we compare our KSP creations to what ULA is working on in the real world. During the show, we'll do a viewer Q&A with Mr Bruno, and as always, would love to have a strong showing from the KSP community. Explosions aside, we want to show the aerospace industry that KSP is more than just a video game.
  17. I hear the KSA Simple Shuttle is a nice print to get... hint hint. https://www.eucl3d.com/collections/kerbal-space-program/products/kisshuttle-by-ksa= Pretty sure ACADEMY still works too.
  18. That would be amazing... let me know if you need anything at all!
  19. So, saw The Martian Friday night (no spoilers)... movie was fantastic... but I couldn't wait to get home and start building the craft in KSP. I'm dedicating the next week to building stock and modded craft... first up, a bone-stock MAV! Inspired by the Mars Ascent Vehicle as seen in The Martian. * Fancy Central Core ladder! * Fashionable landing leg design * Remote Controlled landing (powered chute-assisted) * Carries a crew of 6 from Duna surface to low orbit * 4 stages, Landing, Ascent Lifter, Ascent Kicker, Capsule Rendezvous (RCS) * Capsule Capable of docking with Hermes Missing on-site fueling due to lack of scale-correct stock parts. Craft download available on KerbalX Entire Build VOD is available on Twitch - #TheMartian Builds in @KerbalSpaceP - The MAV Took plenty of screenshots, and set them up as 1080 desktop backgrounds.... entire album below. Enjoy!
  20. So, timeout, aero was "debugged" using a buggy tool? By the transitive property of debugging... FailFish Any indication as to whether it's just the length, or also the direction is buggy? The directions are often all over the map, even for symmetrical parts, and the flight behavior of the craft seems to support what they're showing, magnitude aside. They often seem to illustrate the weird "sideways drift" tendencies of some aircraft, which sometimes can be resolved simply by reattaching the exact same parts in the exact same locations".
  21. Woooo! Credit just for asking! Thanks again Mator... I should be able to unlock my new 100k science prize for my career mode streams... in about a year.
  22. Angel... cut a highlight of the 3-axis RCS from last night. Amazing work sir! Feel free to use however you care to.
