  1. Sorry, I've been away from the board for a while and haven't done much work on this lately. Since this project mainly depends on Telemachus, as long as that is updated it should be okay. A toggle switch is a type of DigitalIn button, but the format would be either "true", "false', "zero" or "one" — that way it only triggers on on or off and sends a 'True', 'False', '0' or '1'. If you need to add something new, it's in `libraries/pin.py` under `_Pin.__str__()`
  2. Yeah, I'm sure you can, there are definitely some optimizations that could be made. If you make any changes you think would be generally good, send me a pull request on GitHub.
  3. Is CKAN no longer working? I haven't tried it in a while, but I posted the original version. If there's something wrong, let me know and I can update it.
  4. Looks nice, but really expensive for what it is.
  5. Hah, I knew I recognized that! Looking really good, can't wait to see more.
  6. Thanks! I really appreciate it. If anything ever comes of it, I'll let you know!
  7. Woah, can't wait to see more. You have plans for this posted somewhere?
  8. Thanks, I'm working on it now. Just to clarify, is 'May20' the official version number? Here's the metadata, if you have any corrections I'm more than happy to correct it.
  9. Ok, two ideas: 1) Use an old cookie sheet. 2) Current cookie sheets a mess? Buy a new cookie sheet for the lady of the house and use the current one!
  10. Thanks! I don't know if I'd call it brave, so much as stubborn. At the time I started working, there were no cross-platform options available other than Telemachus. I knew I wanted to support Linux and Mac primarily, so I just ran with it. Despite major overhauls of how my code worked, I never switched for another mod. In retrospect, I'm glad I went this way; it is more flexible since it can be run on a remote machine. I'm going to set mine up on a Raspberry Pi so I can play on my TV wirelessly. I do have a plan for an enclosure, but at this stage it's just a 3D model. Eventually I'll get around to mounting it all, but it hasn't been a priority. However, my shoebox is showing signs of strain, so I think I'll be working on this sooner rather than later.
  11. Why not use ply or MDF as a placeholder. That way you can experiment with placement and such before committing to the aluminum.
  12. I can't vouch for the web page controls, but I've been using the WebSocket and HTTP APIs with my hardware controller without problems. I'm a C# novice, but I'm happy to help however I can.
  13. I can confirm that with this change, I was able to compile Telemachus against 1.0.2 without any issues. (Using Mac OS X 10.10.2, Unity 4.6.5, Xamarin Studio) I wasn't able to get this working 100%. My environment wasn't populating those variables at all. I ended up setting them in the script, but I still got errors. Oh well, I just grabbed the .dll's from the build directory instead.
  14. I forgot to post it here, but I put out a three part series on getting started using Arduino+Python+Telemachus to create a controller from scratch:
  15. Thanks! I'm trying to keep it modular and easily configurable so others can use it as a basis.
  16. I just posted a series of videos showing how to get started with your hardware controller using KAPCOM software. I cover software prerequisites, loading the Arduino sketch, connecting via serial, using the included Python modules, setting up a configuration file and finally connecting to Kerbal Space Program and launching a rocket. I hope this is helpful!
  17. I went with two three axis joysticks with the rotation mapped to forward and back for translation. It works well enough, I couldn't find anything (cheap) that offered the push/pull mechanism.
  18. Just FYI, Rich made antennas optional in the latest release so as long as you're aware they will be purely optional/aesthetic, go for it!
  19. In case anyone is curious, I just installed Telemachus with KSP 1.0 and things seem to be working. I only did a few simple tests so there might be issues, but sending commands from the built in webpage is working.
  20. I agree that it can be done tastefully and in moderation. Not everything needs a K, but sometimes it works.
