  1. Thanks for your amazing work, pingo! Just trying to play on Linux with installed ATM (RSS and RO versions are up to date, also I have Scatterer and EVE Overhaul x86). I have very strange glitch - the red haze around the Sun and very blue sky high above the Earth: What was going wrong? Do you need my player.log?
  2. How much ram will use this version? Just now my KSP eats 6.5 GB of 8 GB on my laptop
  3. No, my saves work as good as they can Hmm, I thought that this distance is tweakable, isn't it?
  4. Launched a mission to Ida today. The rocked had 20560 m\s dV and was about 800.000 tons of wet mass But that was great and Ida with Dactyl look just awesome in ScaledSpace! But maybe it needs some tweaking for distance of switching between PQS and ScaledSpace? It looks a little weird at distance about 50.000 km
  5. NathanKell just updated RSS, so can we wait for new release of RVE?
  6. Hmm, is it real to have clouds and Earth named Earth, not Kerbin?
  7. Oh, new celestial bodies look great! But isn't Ida longer IRL a bit?
  8. Hi, guys. May I suggest a cofig for an actual version of Real Solar System?
  9. Wow, it looks great! If you are searching for Vesta heightmap, maybe you can look for the SpaceEngine forum? There are a bunch of threads about celestial bodies textures.
  10. Both of them look too sharp The real Ida has more flat surface, afaik. - - - Updated - - - http://imgur.com/a/PcUAj#0 Ceres and Ida both look much bumpy than IRL
  11. Hmm, eggrobin makes a full n-body mod called Principia and few month ago released a pre-alpha build. Maybe you could ask him to cooperate on orbital decay?
  12. Hmm, it looks strange. Maybe decreasing noise seed for heightmap can help?
  13. Yes, they are. But IRL when asteroid flies near the Earth, it will change it's orbit. KSP physics cannot do this now (until eggrobin's n-body mod is WIP), so it would be better not to do bodies on potentially unstable orbits.
  14. Anyway, about the Earth-intercepting asteroids... I think that it will be not the best idea to do bodies with intercepting orbits until we have them on rails. It looks very unrealistic and, to my mind, it'll be better to do asteroids with stable (resonances are good too) orbits.
  15. NathanKell, by the way, are there any news from eggrobin? The latest commit on GitHub is dated 20th june...
  16. I think Vesta should be more unspherical. Methys looks just pretty good
  17. NathanKell, will you try to simulate Pluto-Charon barycenter in next versions? Or there will be a pure conic patch approximation? I updated the CustomAsteroids.cfg on GitHub, look for it
  18. pozine, do you use a spherical model of Vesta now? On photos from Dawn it seems more irregular.
  19. Sorry for probably a dumb question, but now RF has the same functionality as EngineIgnitor, right? Settling down fuel before ignition and limited ignitions are included?
  20. So... Squad now don't want to improve tilts, right? And in next builds the don't plan this too?
  21. Oh, just forget about the Custom Asteroids. That CustomAsteroids.cfg in Compatibility folder must be updated. Can I do this on github page?
  22. You, sir, are just awesome! Will you make more hi-res textures of Vesta and Ceres?
