  1. Got my tickets for Friday(btw, I live in Europe, so Interstellar arrives earlier for me ). I'll make sure to write a short review here without spoilers.
  2. This. This must become part of KSP someday.
  3. Who wants to see a boring SSTO ascent from Earth instead of a cool Saturn V launch?
  4. They are using the cryotubes just for the voyage to the wormhole. Yes I agree, Shuttle B is made for cargo. it is seen in one of he trailers how it is carrying a square container under itself. Probably it is one of those segments of the Endurance. Idk how it disconnects from the main ship but I think that seems feasible. Also, in a scene with the black hole the Endurance is missing one of the segments. That is a smart way to place cargo containers on the ship-make them part of the ship and then connect them to a VTOL SSTO to drop them on a planet.
  5. Apparently you never met Christopher Nolan... - - - Updated - - - Anyway I am buying tickets tomorrow ASAP a.
  6. Interstellar is the most realistic space movie you will ever get, so stop with your nonsense predictions and appreciate that a great director like Nolan created this masterpiece(acc. to some critics). Still not convinced? The ship they are on is spinning at the right rpm for it's radius from the center of mass for around 1.08 g. Some guy on his fan club calculated the rpm from a shot in the last trailer and approzximated the size of Endurance to figure that out.
  7. The movie is going to snag all the Oscars and save the development of space exploration. I bet you this movie will inspire generations of people to contribute to the exploration of space.
  8. Developing a new Laythe SSTO, suprised this things flies better than some traditional designs..
  9. Awesome design there Rune! - - - Updated - - - Love the Separatrons there
  10. I hope Virgin Galactic's reputation doesn't get messed up. The ship and the crew are replaceable, but a future is not. Wait, the SS2 has an ejection system?
  11. You aren't looking from a wide perspective, and you got some facts wrong. No spoilers but: 1. No black hole ever appeared near the Solar system, a WORMHOLE did. 2. They use a repurposed interplanetary ship to get to Saturn where the wormhole appeared. 3. They enter a new planetary system with a black hole where due to their speed time dilation in incredibly large compared to Earth. 4. They go looking for a proper exoplanet.
  12. Well at least the russians had more luck launching their Progress....yay
  13. 1. No insurance 2. It was a student project which they spent more than a year prepping. It won't be replaced.
  14. Holy **ap that is awesome. Btw to embed an album dont use the album URL, use the index(in your case it is iP6tD). Then you put that between the [imgur] indicators.
  15. I blame the newest KSP update for this, someone decided to take out the launchpad....
  16. I blame the newest KSP update for this. Someone decided to try and take out the launchpad....
  17. Let's rule out the facts: it launched well, went clear of the tower, and then exploded midair with the engines on. unlikely anything external influenced the thing. Most likely an internal problem having something to do with the fuel.
  18. As usual, this will be all over the news tomorrow. IF it were successful, no one would give a ****! - - - Updated - - - I think there was an internal problem. Probably an internal tank pressure failure.
  19. Likely a problem with internal tank pressure.
  20. Amazing. Those lens flares though....just fantastic and mind-blowing. Only thing I don;t like is Kerbin, still needs some work.
  21. Launch was scrubbed because of some idiot in a boat.
  22. Just announced, no launch today guys :(I want to strangle the one on that boat right now...They should've launched anyway, I mean who cares if there is a 10% chance the debris will fall straight on that boat.
