  1. That misalignment seems way too big for it to be unintentional, perhaps the devs kept it like that so that it looks like a Kerbal rocket?
  2. I can see Eve from Kerbin's surface if it's close enough, but not Duna.
  3. I would also like to see a good design. The rotor keeps falling out of the cubic octagonal strut loops that I use, and any wheel bearing that I made has too much friction.
  4. I'm currently making some minor changes to the plane so that it can take off without canards, but it's not easy. Also, I can't thank you guys enough for giving me so much rep! EDIT: 1000th post! Didn't notice until just now!
  5. We have achieved takeoff! So I ended up not changing the engine in any way (because landing gear bearings were too bulky and still refused to work), but just added larger wings and made a few other changes. I also strapped a cockpit onto it (for absolutely no reason at all). When in flight, it can get up to 50 m/s easily. However, the controls are quite finicky, and can still stall if you climb too high.
  6. I did, but it doesn't have quite enough speed to take off. I might have to reduce even more friction by making bearings out of landing gear, just like the helicopter designs (either that, or use mainsails ).
  7. So I improved my prop rover by swapping the 909s for jet engines, and also changed the end of the shaft to reduce friction. It can now go 30 m/s!
  8. These are some incredible builds! Very happy with what you all came up with. Anyway, here's my contraption; a throttle-able engine which spins some winglets that propel this rover at a maximum speed of 15 m/s (Which I'm trying to increase).
  9. Me too. Even though I've had the game for only half a year, those first few days were by far the best.
  10. I always rush to unlock solar panels, because unmanned interplanetary missions are impossible without them. I know I can just use a command pod, but stranding Kerbals doesn't make me any happier.
  11. Are you using any mods? Also, if you could see the spacecraft, did it look like it has the same style of the game(usually mods don't have parts or UIs that look like they belong)?
  12. Because I just started a new career save, my average launch vehicle costs are quite low, only 30,000-40,000. It will probably increase to around 100,000 when I complete the tech tree though.
  13. Yeah, this would be perfect as a DLC if they don't decide to add it into the game. Even if it's not free, I would definitely pay for it because I spent so much time playing this game already!
  14. The engine tech is my favorite, but the science tech is probably the best.
  15. I'm guessing it would get an E or an E10+ rating. There aren't many things in the game that would make it E10+ though... Also, which part description uses the word "crappy?"
  16. Dannie Kerman. I don't know why, but I laugh every time I see his name!
  17. I agree with a lot of you, Roots sound like a much better name than "Funds". If I had to pick a name that started with a K however, I would choose "Koins".
  18. Mine doesn't have a fancy cargo bay or anything, but I'm pleased with how it flies and looks:
  19. I would rather "fly" my rockets than "ride" them. That would be one scary flight if I had to sit on the outside on a command seat...
  20. That's so funny, I never canceled a contract yet too. EDIT: After cancelling a few contracts in a new save, I found out that Gene also does a facepalm, rolls his eyes, or sighs.
  21. Yeah, the RAPIERs are waaay too overpowered now. By having a mass of only 1.2, having both jet and LFO engine functionality, and decent Isp, these should cost a lot more.
  22. When you can build a 20-ton rocket that can make it to Duna and back
  23. I'd say Scott Manley, Danny2462, and Kurtjmac. I watch Scott because he provides good tutorials and information, Danny because his videos always make me laugh, and Kurt because of how he acts whenever he makes a mistake.
