  1. It has begun! I would like to purchase a Hype Ticket, also! As for the release date, I'm placing bets on next Tuesday or the Tuesday after that, November 10th.
  2. Finally! Do take your time with the testing though, we can wait.
  3. I've thought about that, but haven't really come up with a viable solution. Maybe there can be a mechanism at the top of the shaft that pushes the elevator onto something that brings it down safely, not sure.
  4. That is indeed awesome. Making a walker is enough of a feat, but making it fast is overachieving!
  5. So, I continued doing stuff with the narrow-band scanners. They have no friction on a smooth surface, so I tried driving on jagged fairings, and it turns out that works, albeit a bit slow. Using this knowledge, I thought I could try make an elevator, and it turns out that works as well. It uses four outer fairings that act as rails, and a central one that is used for the climbing. Sometimes the elevator breaks apart and explodes, but it has potential.
  6. Wow, I was wondering if the scanners could be used to spin something, but I quickly tossed that idea because nothing can be attached to them. I haven't though about doing it that way, though! EDIT: Oh, that's too bad. Maybe the scanners themselves still have a use. I will do some more testing.
  7. I'm experimenting with the narrow-band scanners. My first test, using them as wheels, did not quite work the way I wanted it to...
  8. I have finally created a working Mk3 SSTO. I have not tried flying with a payload yet, but I think it can do it.
  9. I still haven't found a solution to the loose connections, but I would like to see what you could do.
  10. I like that 1.25m resource converter! I always thought the other one was too big...
  11. I did a couple of things in my career save today. First, I launched a small probe that will hopefully get to and land on Laythe. Then, I built a new plane which should be an improvement over my older ones, for doing surveys around Kerbin.
  12. I'm very sorry to hear that. I've had to deal with the loss of a cat, and in the past five years, the loss of two dogs. One of the dogs lived to be only four years old, which was too young in my opinion. He definitely lived a happy life, though.
  13. Thanks! I might create some more animals now that I've gotten into it. No problem.
  14. Sure! I'll upload the craft files when I get home. EDIT: Okay, here they are. I should be doing this in the Spacecraft Exchange probably, but I don't think a new thread should be made just for this: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/9k5im61i8lk0ndo/AAC6b_kxu1apG2vWVeSxROira?dl=0 Some things to note: the horse and especially the dog are top heavy, so don't turn too fast. The dog's reaction wheels are disabled by default because they flipped it often when driving around. Also, The bird's controls are 90 degrees off, because the probe core is not oriented properly (it is this way so that it has a flat body).
  15. Funny, but hiding under something isn't very badS in my opinion. EDIT: Oops, forgot a rating. 9/10
  16. Here's a few that I made: Dog: This little guy is able to do tricks with the use of his built-in reaction wheel system. He even comes with a collar. Horse: This guy can run to speeds of 60 m/s with the use of its rocket engines. It also comes with a saddle, allowing it to carry a rider. And a falcon/hawk: This bird can get into the air by firing a pair of sepratrons, where it can then glide around for a bit. Landing back on the ground is a bit rough, however.
  17. It doesn't seem to show up for me: I even tried to change the sorting by mass, size, and cost, but I still couldn't find it.
  18. I knew that was a thing for a while now, but I never bothered to post anything about it. Really goes to show how much detail went into the aerodynamic overhaul.
  19. This is the logic I go by. Now why there are experimental parts with the exact same stats as the final version, before I even spend the necessary science to unlock them is the real question.
  20. I have not gotten into it as far as I would like. I still have yet to send a manned mission to a planet other than Duna and Dres.
  21. Yeah, the KSP community is absolutely amazing. We will do our best to help you out, SkyRender.
  22. 9/10 Looks great, but the probe in the middle picture could use some anti-aliasing.
