  1. I was getting the same problems. Temporarily remove your other large mods and let KSP load and have ATM cache AVP files. Once it is loaded, add your other mods (depending on how many you have you may have to do a few at a time). My only large mod was B9 so I removed it and KSP loaded perfectly with AVP and ATM. Then I added it back and I'm sitting now at 2.7 GB RAM (I think I ended up using basic and I'm not running open GL).
  2. Just thought I'd mention for anyone having issues trying to launch KSP with AVP and ATM, temporarily remove your other large mods and let KSP load and have ATM cache AVP files. Then add your other mods back. I also want to ask, is it possible to edit the frequency of the lightning? I feel like I'm watching a NASA timelapse video of the ISS when playing at normal speed.
  3. Thank you, thank you very much! I removed B9 since it was already cached, let KSP load up with everything else, then added B9 back and I was able to load up KSP! I'm not even running opengl and the RAM usage is only at 2.7
  4. I have tried both basic and aggressive, with and without opengl. It always gets stuck on the same file and its RAM is at 3.08 each time I have to end the process through the task manager
  5. Sorry, I've been using FAR since I can remember and I was a big time user of 64-bit KSP up until a few months ago when I stopped playing KSP.
  6. I tried opengl without ATM and it loaded fine, but it crashed when I tried a scene change, saying that I've ran out of VRAM. With ATM, I still get stuck loading on the same file and my RAM usage is unchanged, 3.08 GB, either with aggressive ATM, basic ATM, or ATM with opengl. So how am I supposed to get this working on 32-bit? Aside from B9, all of my other mods are just plugins. I could remove some parts from B9 but I doubt it'd be enough of a change. Really the only reason I'm back to KSP after several months of not playing is because I saw AVP, I like the better atmospheric effects, stock Kerbin with EVE is too plain for me now. And B9 and FAR are must haves for me.
  7. For some reason, FAR doesn't show up when I'm launching from the launch pad in 64 bit. I'm unsure if this is a related issue, but my control surfaces have no effect either, resulting in aerodynamically unstable rockets that always spin out of control. Also trying to toggle the CoL in the VAB seems to not work at all.
  8. I thought the point of ATM was to reduce the RAM footprint so I can have more mods and stuff?
  9. The output log does say that I've ran out of memory. I thought ATM was supposed to reduce the RAM footprint? How can I get this to load up on 32-bit then? It works fabulously on 64-bit, but for some reason FAR isn't loading at all for my VAB launch vehicles and my control surfaces don't work at all so my rockets always end up spinning out of control. I really want to get this working with 32-bit so I can determine if 64-bit is causing the issue or not.
  10. KSP still stops loading at boulderco\clouds\textures\aurora2 http://txt.do/oe6p
  11. How did everyone get AVP to work with ATM? Mine keeps getting stuck on loading boulderco\clouds\textures\aurora2.
  12. That would make sense. I was under the impression that the cap for KSP was around 3.5. I'll try aggressive now and report back in this reply. Update: Started up KSP with aggressive, it still got stuck on the same file and crashed. Started it up again to check its memory usage and it was at 3.07 again. Output log is still saying system ran out of memory.
  13. Windows 7 64 bit OS, 12 GB RAM (not much help with KSP 32 bit), i7 CPU I tried starting up with a fresh copy of 4-2, but now it became stuck on the aurora2 texture file again. The first time I got an error message saying KSP had to close and generated an error report. The second time I attempted running it, as was suggested with ATM, it became stuck again and I had to end the process myself after waiting for about 20 minutes while it wasn't doing anything. I don't have much experience with reading output logs, but this one is clearly saying that the system ran out of memory. I find that strange because going to the task manager when it gets stuck on the file it only has between 3.0 and 3.1 GB RAM usage. I don't know how to upload it in a concise manner. Edit: I'm also using basic ATM. I wonder if changing to aggressive will make a difference.
  14. Yes, with 4-2. I'm not sure what exactly is happening, since I don't get any crash report or logs. It just stops and sits there on one file and doesn't do anything else. My CPU is getting maxed out and I can't do anything else while it's sitting on the file aside from starting the task manager and ending the KSP process. I had a similar issue with 4-1 where it got stuck on a file. With 4-2, it got passed that file but it is now stopping a few files down the line. Some further info: My first run with 4-1 yesterday included all of my mods before downloading Astronomer's Visual Pack (AVP) and it ran fine. After I added AVP, it would always stop on a texture file (aurora2). Removing 4-1 and using 64-bit, KSP loaded properly. I updated to 4-2 today and it got past the file aurora2 and is now stuck a few files later, kerbin1, each time I load it up and giving it some time before I end the process (between 10-20 minutes). The files are under boulderco\clouds\textures\ I don't know what else I can add. Thanks for being patient with me
  15. My game stops loading and crashes when it gets to a certain boulderco file from the Astronomer's Visual Pack
  16. My game stops loading and crashes when it gets to the texture aurora2 with ATM. Loads fine without ATM on 64 bit, though for some reason my control surfaces don't work on my vehicles from the VAB and is frustrating me as I can't get any payloads into space (I suspect this is a problem with running it on 64 bit?) Update: I just downloaded the latest version of ATM and now the loading gets stuck on the texture kerbin1
  17. I'm not expecting much out of what I'm going to ask, but here it goes. Is it possible to create a new winglet using the two existing designs? I'm talking about the two where one of them is static except for a flap while the other one is the entire control surface. Basically what I'm aksing for is a combination of both, where setting the trim moves the entire surface and using control inputs uses only the flap, like the trim on airliners adjusts the entire horizontal stabilizer while leaving the full range of motion of the elevator untouched with respect to the trim. I'm only asking because I use trim a lot and I end up with controls that are not sensitive enough in one direction and too sensitive in the other direction. (I love building and flying airliners in KSP, though using a full set of flaps produces a fair amount of downward pitch so I need to compensate with about 7-8 degrees of elevator-up, which leaves me with only about that much more to pitch up while pitching down is too sensitive when I have three times as much control authority) Perhaps a possible idea for the future? Anyways, I love your work and B9 has been and is my #1 mod tied with FAR for as long as I can remember, keep it up!
  18. Jool: Laythe (almost certain there shouldn't be any blue): file:///C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Kerbal%20Space%20Program/Screenshots/screenshot87.png Eve: Also some weird-ness with Kerbin's atmosphere: Night time: Day time: The only thing I was able to solve with the settings dialogue was the issue where the cloud altitude was too low causing plane intersection with the surface of Kerbin. Otherwise I get a weird blue glow in my vicinity which also creates the out-of-place blue glow during the middle of the night. This is all using RSS 7.1 and the latest EVE Overhaul for x64 (updated 4 days ago at https://github.com/rbray89/EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements/tree/Overhaul) Edit: Ugh, how do I upload images, I'm new to the forums. Edit 2: Will use imgur Edit 3: http://imgur.com/a/Q1kBt
  19. Ok. I tried the overhaul or 9-2 (or whatever it was called) of EVE but it was not appealing. The clouds would rotate with my camera when I looked at Kerbin from the tracking station and the atmosphere was not right. Yes, I am running the latest RSS. I don't have any pics but I can describe what I remember on Jool. The texture of Jupiter was there but there were also bands that would be tinted green instead of the normal colors. I looked at Realism Overhaul and I'll probably give it a look again. Though I don't want to jam myself with mods which is why I held back on it. Though today unfortunately I temporarily/semi-permanently removed RSS. I did my first day-time flight and I was rather appalled to be honest. Not at RSS. But at the way RSS and EVE worked together. The clouds were flying above at supersonic speeds and they were passing me when I was flying at Mach 1 (real immersion-breaker for me). Also due to the geometry of how the clouds are set, the vertices of the grid are where they should be but then the planes between them disappear into the ground, causing a sudden appearance/loss of clouds that are going into or coming out of the ground at ground level (another immersion-breaker for me). I probably fly in the atmosphere 80% of the time I play KSP so I had to let go of RSS for now. Without EVE I'm sure RSS is great, but EVE is just as important to me as FAR and B9, sorry. I haven't committed to yet nor started a Career mode save and I use sandbox to build and fly aircraft about 95-99% of the time so I'll still keep an eye out for any improvements. Though I'll probably begin a Career mode save once B9 gets a new official update. Again, I'm sorry that I have to say all of this.
  20. I still got problems with Spaceplane Plus. When I try to go to the runway, KSP crashes. I do have a lot of other mods but I only experience this issue with Spaceplane Plus. Are there any known compatability issues? I highly doubt it since Spaceplane Plus only adds parts.
  21. Thanks! I wanted to stick with 7-3 so after accidentally ending up with Coruscant on my night-time side and a couple other minor issues, I got it working! I also just noticed and I don't think it was like that before, but the city lights appear to be some distance off the ground, noticeable when looking from the side and not from above. Also something else that's not too major is that there was a lot of flickering of the lights as I was launching, a lot more than without RSS. I'm just waiting for the next update to B9 before I can resume my KSP adventures, I love having an actual-sized Earth! Though I noticed when looking at some of the other planets (Eve, Jool, Laythe, etc.) from the tracking station that they have an odd mix of their previous atmosphere and their new textures. Not too big of an issue as I don't see myself going to them anytime soon. One last thing. I believe Scott Manley said in one of his videos when he was trying out RSS some time ago that the engines also had their power increased to compensate for the rescaled Kerbin (and the Kerbol system). Is there such a thing? Because my crafts are no longer capable of achieving orbit and designing them to have a lot more power for relatively small payloads seems unreal and also possibly cost-prohibitive in Career mode.
  22. I'm looking forward to using this mod However, I apologize for needing to ask this, but how do I replace the city lights texture file in EVE? I know it says to replace the main.png file which I downloaded, but the file types are different (EVE 7-3 is not a .png file). What do I need to do? Thanks
  23. Yes. The way I was able to do it was by looking all the way back (I believe I had double clicked on the left-most window allowing me to see the back of the cabin) and double clicking on that location.
  24. This doesn't seem to work for me. I'm running 64-bit KSP. When I try going to the runway from the spacecenter, KSP crashes. This only happens with Spaceplane Plus. After I remove it, KSP runs fine.
