@wasml, it's hard to say what the other planets will be in terms of predicted atmosphere height, but Kerbin would definitely not be 800km....

on kerbin atmospher will have less heigth but will be thicker on duna cause it has low gravity it will be much higher but lov density on eve probably even smaller but even more dense

As mentioned, its a problem with the stock tweak sliders. I'm looking into workarounds but I don't think I can do an actual fix.

U can do your own sliders or use somerhing from other mods (B9 procedural parts had same isue and the done its own GUI? i think)

I´m trying to build something that would at least make landing on Minmus ... bad luck so far, tried pretty much everything. Although it could probably be done using Ion engines, i dont like them since it takes so long to accelerate.

It's Single Stage To Orbit, not single stage to mun and back.

And no they are not impossible. Far from it. A single Rapier with a fuel tank and some wings tacked on can do the job easily.

Hopping in briefly.

Stock Radiators do not pull from the hottest part - as noted, they pull from all parts that have essentially said 'hey, I am getting too warm!', and distribute this accross all deployed radiators that have not yet reached saturation. The temperature at which a part starts dumping heat is purely configurable tho it comes with some intelligent defaults..
