  1. working on the tooltips right now. and i´m not sure if overlaying different colors would really help since they are mostly in the same spots, so you would just see a blended color. are you using the 0.01.1 version? beeing disabled at the start fixed it for me. if you are on the newest version i´ll have to hunt for it. i dont see that behaviour but i´ll install flightdeffreecam and try it
  2. it depends on what you mean by that:) i´m kind of guessing you mean a kind of slider that only colors above a certain value? btw i´m still not sure if i´m displaying it the right way anyway. i´m not a gaphics guy. for now it just takes the abundance from ors and multiplies it by a lot and then throws that into the R of RGB:) the biggest problem with that, is that resources have different abundance ranges, which is why substrate mostly makes the whole planet red. still trying to figure out the best way to get at range possible for the resource i´m displaying.
  3. ok the update is there. it should work for linux and mac users now, at least i hope so:P
  4. hey guys, sorry it took me a while to answer. wasnt at home until now. 1. overlay off by default: yes, ill throw this into the next version 2. i´ll check out the duna overlay after using hyperedit. btw you dont have to be at the planet to see the overlay. if you focus it you get it too. 3. sorry for the linux and mac users. forgot to do the path thing right and have the slashes the wrong way for you guys. gonna fix this now. 4. scansat integration: i´ve been thinking about it too. i kind of like having to scan before seeing the overlay but not everyone thinks this way. i will look into scansat integration without a hard dependecy after the mod is stable and the important features are in there. 5. abandoning: for now i´m planning to support the mod:P and even if i do get hit by a bus, its an MIT license so someone else can always fork it and continue from there
  5. hey guys, i just posted a mod that can overlay the karbonite abundance data over the planet, similar to the way kethane did it. it would be nice if some of you could check it out and give me some feedback. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/91615-WIP-MapResourceOverlay-%28works-for-Karbonite-MKS-for-now%29
  6. RELEASE THREAD Distribution: Release Source MIT License Usage: Look at any planet with Karbonite/MKS minable resources. Click the red toolbar icon to disable/enable and choose the resource to be displayed. Requirements: ORS blitzys toolbar(for now) Karbonite or MKS here are some pics: Changelog: Version 0.2: -added brightness toggle -added a display cuttoff -preference are saved Version 0.01.3: -SCANSat integration Version 0.01.2: -new Icon -multiple overlays fixed -tooltips added Version 0.01.1: -Paths fixed for Linux and Mac -Off by default Version 0.01.0: initial release otherwise i´m still working on making the overlay colors more spreadout and making the ORS integration dynamic instead of hard coded.
  7. wave do you want a pull request for that small change? if you do i´ll sent it, otherwise you can do "fix" it pls:)
  8. quick question: is there someway to get all the planetary resources currently loaded through the api? dont really want to hardcode all the resource names
  9. quick question: is there some sort of api where my plugin can see which parts are already scanned? writing an mapoverlay for ORS kind of like the kethane one and would like to put in scansat integration
  10. it tells you in the VAB when you view the part details and on the wiki. its usually 300
  11. is there any chance of getting a version that works with .24? all i am getting is a "Failled to load mono" error and im not smart enough to compile it myself:(
  12. Apparently I missed something is SCANSat then. I thought SCANSat only showed you an image of the planet, not an overlay over the planet in mapmode or fly mode. I find it a lot easier to navigate in map mode then on a SCANSat image. If SCANSat can already do this then ignore me:)
  13. IMHO SCANsat is fine, but there should be some way to see the concentrations on the planet, not just on the SCANsat map. Similar to the way Kathene overlays the whole planet
