  1. This thread was causing a 406 because of the weird character in the URL. I've replaced it with a question mark. Just in case people were wondering why that was there.

Thanks, once we're done with today's bugfixing sprint, I'll contact the vendors.
  3. Donations are fine, guys. Addons are just pieces of code the game runs in place of stock parts or part modules. If we had a problem with them, we wouldn't have added the addon loader in the first place.
  4. This is why I laugh at people who swear they don't need anti-virus because they have common sense. You can't control what a worm will inject into your computer, you can't predict whether some ad on a website is loaded with malware (and some can't be blocked), and such statements also ignore the fact that we humans are fallible and prone to opening word documents or things sent by friends and family, all of which are also potential infection vectors. I don't care what OS you run, I don't care if you have common sense or not, always install anti-virus and always have a good firewall.
  5. I've gotten MuMech to compile and run just fine using the .NET 3.5 Client Profile instead of .NET 4 (which is what VS2010 defaults to).
  6. Fraps, the free version slaps up a little ad at the top of the screen and doesn't allow compressed videos, but it's still worth it. (Just convert the AVIs with Handbrake.) The paid version is highly recommended if you can eventually afford it.

Currently messing around with the forum style a bit.
  10. Brace it with struts. If all else fails, prop it up with more boosters.

IFVN: 1.3 * Encoding changed from ISO-8859-1 to UTF-8 to fix international charactersets. If you're still having display issues, you may have to edit the post and fix it manually, since data in those posts that did not convert correctly will have been lost. Changed the IFVN to 1.3,
  12. Although we fiddled with the import script to get it to work as best as possible, there's still some leftover glitches. So, here's a guide for everyone trying to fix their sigs or posts: Broken Images vB doesn't use the width and height attributes, so change: [img width=# height=#]URL[/img] to: [img=URL] Quote Tags Change: [quote author=USERNAME link=topic=140.msg677#msg677 date=1310512911] [/quote] to: [ quote=USERNAME] [/quote] Weird codes and bad quotes vB stores post content differently. If you see ', change it to a single quote ('). As a result of trying to fix this, some single quotes were also escaped incorrectly by our upgrade script, resulting in a backslash before each singlequote. \' You can safely fix these. Double-quotes may also be replaced with " for similar reasons and can be fixed safely.
  13. Thanks, everyone. Now stop spamming my phone! :\'( No, I already emailed slices to the rest of the team.
  14. The game is currently in early development, and since we haven\'t finalized even the basic file format of the saves, you should expect some breakage between versions. Although we try to maintain some stability when upgrading to new versions, it\'s not something that should be expected at this stage, especially when parts that are in the older versions are replaced with better ones. Therefore, at this stage, breakage of old saves are not a bug and should be expected.
  15. Hello, everyone. We realize that the 0.16 release has been pretty rocky, particularly for Mac users. We had a few problems with deploying 0.16, and eventually had to roll back the new system and didn\'t have enough time to test the deployment to the old one. We realize this has caused several major problems via your feedback, and we\'re working on fixes. However, please realize that this is the weekend and much of the company is out trying to decompress from the stresses of the work week. Because of this, we won\'t be able to deploy the aforementioned fixes until Monday, or until we manage to get a hold of someone who can package and deploy the fixes. We realize this isn\'t ideal for you, the customer, but we\'re trying to get these fixes delivered to you as soon as possible. Until then, before reporting any issues, please read this hurriedly-prepared list of known issues. I\'ll try to keep them updated. Thank you for understanding.
  16. First of all, alternative payment methods are on the agenda. Second, I was a Squad customer before I was ever an employee, and I am speaking honestly when I say that KSP is well worth the money. The replay value is there due to the sheer volume of mods available and the sandbox nature of the game, not to mention that it\'s actually fun to play, something that a lot of AAA titles are forgetting to add. The new features coming down the road will add to both columns. Also, we need new shoes, the duct tape is starting to come off. :\'(
  17. The guy in the lower right needs a crowbar.
  18. X-Chat WDK, although I have a license for mIRC somewhere, too. X-Chat WDK is generally more stable than mIRC and is scriptable by Lua, Python, and Perl, though, so I tend to use it more often.

    Let's push KSP!

Holy Jeb that was awesome. Did you license that music or is it one of those open licenses?
  20. Holy crap, is that a cassette player on that model? Good work.I feel old now.
  21. We\'ve decided to go ahead and just use the wiki at http://kspwiki.nexisonline.net/, as it\'s already secured and more up to date. The links on the site have been updated to reflect this. I still have to clean it up a bit to get rid of that unofficial feeling, and maybe play around with some themes, but other than that, it\'s ready to go. Please let me know if you have any problems accessing it or getting registered. EDIT: wrong URL

    Let's push KSP!

As long as it has the 1812 overture in the background and plenty of launch failures.
  23. I found this useful with I was messing around with pipes: http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Doc:2.4/Tutorials/Modeling/Curves/Making_A_TubeI\'ll be darned if I can figure out how to UVMap it, though.
