  1. I have never gotten an infraction. Wheee! So I don't have to worry about checking my notifications tab.
  2. Hi Clovie! I too want to get into aerospace, but my story is different: I'm inspired by the game, not visa-versa. You don't really need a decent rig to play it on. I play it on an old MacBook, and it works. I am looking forward to U5, though. You might also want to check out Orbiter. It's more realistic, but can be confusing. If not, take a look at the Realism Overhaul Mod. Happy Kangaroo boxing!
  3. Welcome, Zais! I have a Brazilian Ph.D student staying at my house now. Apparently the Chinese word for "Grape" sounds like the Portuguese word for... never mind. Happy international confusion!
  4. Hello, Aaronfinch123! Just a tip: you might want to stop by the Name Change Thread, if Aaron Finch is your IRL name. Happy landings!
  5. I got 2 today, 2 yesterday, and a few the days before. I am happy to be back, and it seems like people are happy to have me back!
  6. Welcome! You might want to see Union_pacific, too.
  7. Yup, but not shy. TUBM took the 16 personalities test.
  8. Zekes should look at these to see what can be done without using 500+ parts/ship, nice job!
  9. Granted, but they don't work. I wish I can choose the right times to be funny.
  10. You should try a B-wing. But nice job, Green Leader!
  11. Haven't played it. But I have played (and thoroughly enjoyed) Xenonauts. Yes, I did watch Scott Manley. TUBM Also watches Mr. Manley.
  12. Nopes. I'm thinking of a poster whose name begins with a letter between "W" and "Y."...
  13. 7/10. I see you around here often, but not much of anywhere else. You should post in other places, too.
  14. Where will it take you? Seriously, if you summon the Kraken, you will go to infinity, at
  15. So, I see four ways to go about doing this, but none are particularly easy. The first one is to send the ship into a low Mun orbit (as low as you can). Then build a third ship, with at least 6 Km/s of D-v, and send that ship to rendezvous with the first one. The rescue ship rescue should have either 2 seats or a probe and one seat. Then send it back home. Second, build a ship which can do the same thing as the first one, but better, and run the mission from Kerbin, Mun, Mun landing, Mun orbit, burn retrograde to Mun's orbit, and back. Third, wait until you are facing towards Kerbin, and burn straight up. As soon as you reach intercept velocity, stop, and play with your orbit until you get back home. This saves you the horizontal velocity needed to go to orbit, but risks leaving you stranded in a high kerbin orbit, needing a rescue ship with a lot of D-v to get you. Fourth, do the same as the one above, but use your jetpack to push yourself to home. Yes, this is a viable strategy. Detach everything except your landing capsule, and be sure to grab all the science! Engage SAS (hopefully you have unlocked EVA and have a probe core!), and point in the direction you need to push. Then get out and push! When you have 1 unit of fuel left, get back in, get out, and restart the process all over again. Repeat until you have areobreaking.
  16. You'll fit right in. Been to Eve yet?
  17. Haven't played it, yet, but Goat Simulator seems pretty buggy.
  18. Jaw-droppingly excellent craft there.
  19. Well Hellooo, MMG, well hello, MMG... I thought it was a reference to "Hello Dolly." Welcome aboard!
  20. Welcome! Aren't the offset and rotate tools making it much easier to build shuttles than in .23?
  21. Awesome craft. My jaw actually dropped when I saw the pics.
  22. Congrats on a long and happy life on the forums!

  24. I wasn't hoping that people would do the research for me. In the OP, I asked that if students/alumni and teachers especially had any info to give me about their school, I'd like to hear it. I've been doing my own research (I just visited Penn State and Pitt), but there are things that the admissions department won't tell you, like that Pitt cut a lot of funding in the Humanities Department last year (I learned that in the Pitt student paper). I certainly agree that this is a huge decision, perhaps the biggest in my life so far. So, to recap, I want to narrow my the list down and hear from forum-goers who have experience with any of the colleges on my list.
