Alleged barratry. That matter is still working its way through the legal system, and should be finished by the time that Dres gets colonized. Right now, Jeb's defense team is calling upon the expert witness of an actual lawyer to define the term. We'll see where it goes. I'm just happy to be getting paid by the hour. Roots galore!

Well, that's called "vigilante," and it is illegal. But did Kerbfleet suffer any injury (legal injury) from the loss of the M7?

Hey Kuzzter- Geschosskopf and I are having a legal discussion on barratry. Is Kerbfleet a for-profit company, a military organization, or something else?

Stable Flight Sea Plane. The KALGRIFFIN!
Dman979 replied to KyuubisSlave's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
What a wonderful first post! +Rep! Welcome... aboard! -
The 12th? Mine's on the 18th! I have a slow troop- took us more than 6 months to get everything finalized. Anyway, what you want to do is up to you. It's YOUR ECoH, after all! I found the that NESA had some helpful resources.http://www.nesa.org/PDF/EagleCeremonyBooklet3.pdf I am combining parts of various ceremonies for mine. I liked the Voice of the Eagle on page 15. Do you have a speaker? Also, be sure to invite the anyone who donated to help make your project possible, and the beneficiary. Make sure to tell your SPL what you consider appropriate attire for scouts to wear! I have a lot of new scouts in my troop, so it's especially important. Huh? Did your troop disband?

Nope, I don't think so. the quote from the forums says "Tell us your tales of mission successes, or failures.." But I would ask a mod if you think it should be changed.

Nope, no surprise at all. EDIT: Can someone put together a list of all the text from each General Order? Also, Kuzzter, I think you have a good place to start work from for your next interlude: the kexpedia.kom ratings.

What does America stand for? As you said yourself, it means different things to different people. I would imagine that to the man with the flag, the attacks represented an attack on his home and security. To me, the attacks were a tragic loss of life that could have been prevented. (They mean more to me, but I'm not going into that. Forum rules.) To my teacher, the attacks represented an attack on his values. What did the attacks represent for you?
-
Kuzzter: What is the exact text of each Order? I have a feeling that I am going to go all lawyer in here.

Perhaps the responses differed because of their goals and targets. To my Soc teacher, at least, the 9/11 attacks felt like an attack on what America stands for. I don't know much about those bombings, but I'm guessing that they were received differently. Also, "stiff upper lip" is a thing.
-
I have the solution to BOTH your problems! It can do analog and digital, and it's also the watch I'm wearing now. I do have an analog watch I use for fancy occasions, though.
-
I talked to my parents about the attacks a few years ago. They told me about the utter lack of planes in the air for weeks afterwards, the frantic calls trying to find out what happened to my aunt who lives in Manhattan. They also asked people not to give me gifts for my birthday (which is in 12 days! Woot!), but to make donations to the Red Cross. My sociology teacher told my class that on September 10th, his neighborhood was distant from each other. On September 11th, he recalled a huge wave of patriotism- even a man standing on a corner waving an American flag for hours on end. He said "it was the first time I have ever seen such a remarkable transformation in our culture in such a short amount of time." I have never been to an airport without going through security. The closest I've been to getting on the tarmac is by watching old movies.

Perhaps it was the Hunt for Red October? Ah, it should have been obvious that they were going to send the other rocket.

"Was put on plane incapable of suborbital, with pilots incapable of following orders, leaving me incapable to escape. 0/10. Would recommend." EDIT: Ninja'd by a new page! Ohh, barratry! I heard that the Hunt for Red Oktober is on!

PSA- You Won't Belive What These BB codes Can Do!
Dman979 replied to Dman979's topic in Kerbal Network
Very true! I'd add that to the OP, but it's easier to just go to the advanced options for super- and sub- scripts. I included bulleted lists because they were a segway. Yes, but that only works on Windows. At least, it doesn't work on my Mac. -
I was looking through the BB code lists and found a number of rarely used- but very clever and helpful- codes. You can do indents, jump to specific parts of your posts, and even show BB code in its full form! Noparse Bulleted Lists Advanced Lists Goto Link Line Twitter Embeds Indent So, without further ado, here they are! Noparse: Noparse allows you to show BB code without making sutble changes. So, instead of typing you can type This is especially helpful when explaining BB code to a new user: they can simply copy and paste the code and fill in the proper values! To use Noparse in your next post, type [noparse][noparse]BB code goes here[/noparse][/noparse]. Simple as that! Bulleted Lists While you can find this option in the advanced toolbar, it's handy to know. It also provides a good segway to the other types of lists. The tag allows you to create simple, bulleted lists without specifying an option. Within the value portion, each bullet is denoted by the tag. To make a bulleted list, type [noparse] list item 1 list item 2 [/noparse] This shows up as list item 1 list item 2 Advanced Lists: Advanced lists allow you to use numbers, and BOTH capital and lowercase letters in lists, AND Roman numerals! The tag allows you to create advanced lists by specifying an option. The option should have a value of 1 (for a numbered list) or A (for an alphabetic with capital letters list) or a (for an alphabetic with lowercase letters list) or I (for a numbered with capital Roman numeral list) or i (for a numbered with small Roman numeral list). To make an advanced list, type [noparse] list item 1 list item 2 [/noparse] This gets you: list item 1 list item 2 list item 1 list item 2 list item 1 list item 2 list item 1 list item 2 list item 1 list item 2 Goto link: As you can tell, I've been using this code a lot here. It allows you to link within a post. I suppose that you could eventually write a Choose Your Adventure story using them, but that would be a lot of work. Props to you if you do! One thing, though: This tag must be used in conjunction with the [Line] tag. One is not functional without the other. To use Goto link, type [noparse]Value[/noparse] You will need to specify a value for option. In this case, I've simply typed "here" in the functional code. You can even type sentences in the value part! Line: This is the second part of the Goto code. You use it to set the place that you will go to! As with above, though, this tag must be used in conjunction with the [Goto] tag. One is not functional without the other. To use the Line code, type [noparse]Whatever you want to link to[/noparse] The value of your option must be the same value you used for the Goto value. In the link you just came from, it was "here". You can set the value to anything you want, be it letters, numbers, or even *hushed awe* capital letters! :0.0: Twitter: Even though most of you don't have Twitter accounts, you can still embed tweets from your favorite KSP personalities. To embed a tweet, type [noparse]
