  1. Not interested in D3 for quite a few reasons: -RealID -Always-on DRM -Need to be able to connect to their servers to play even single-player -No LAN support -RMT AH (which existed unofficially in D1/D2, although Blizzard didn\'t get a cut and there was a chance of being cheated out of your money/items) -No modding allowed -Costs $60 Yeah. I just pre-ordered Torchlight 2, which doesn\'t have any of those problems.
  2. From what I can tell, OXCART 8 needs the C7 flight pack, the C7 experimental, and the KW pack. You may only have one of the two C7 packs.
  3. Frenchie - there\'s a fairing panel that\'s also a decoupler. You need to have that staged before the decoupler that you attached the fairings to in order to have them eject properly.
  4. It is the cart - Tosh put out a new version (1.3) that included that cart, which has a different form of suspension and wheels that can be retracted.
  5. On an attempt to see what I could do with the jump jet, I started with the cuttlefish/jump jet config and took the braces out, and set up a rocket to get it out to the Mun. The rocket I built was purely to get me to a TMI, after which I used the cuttlefish to circularize the orbit. I then opened up the shell and ejected the Bigtrak. I was somewhat surprised when I was able to use the jump jets to deorbit and land.
  6. When you get your hands on 0.15, are you planning on remaking your tutorials for the spaceplane hangar?
  7. I\'d suggest checking out White Owl\'s tutorial videos on the subject - they\'re fairly in-depth and cover design for a few different sizes, and (IIRC) have a few useful tips. Also, the reason why 0.15 will be especially good for spaceplanes is that C7 was hired to integrate his part and plugin work into the stock game, as well as having a proper hangar for building spaceplanes and an improved runway for launching them horizontally.
  8. It isn\'t Smite\'s fault that there\'s a bug with the cart plugin (and also the wheel plugin IIRC) where high speeds cause the wheels to separate from their intended locations, and solutions have already been provided. There\'s no further help to be had, short of Tosh finding some way to keep the wheels from drifting away from their parent part.
  9. If you\'re just starting to see this kind of thing, and if it is from your graphics card overheating, it could be that there\'s a layer of dust caked onto your card. I\'d normally suggest opening it up and cleaning it out with some canned air, but I don\'t know if Apple\'s desktops are set up in such a way that the end user could do that kind of simple maintenance.
  10. A. FRAPS is a standard, but costs $30 if you want to record longer than 30 seconds or without a watermark. I remember hearing about MSI Afterburner from White Owl, and I couldn\'t notice much difference in quality between video recorded in the two. B. I\'ve used VirtualDub to encode video before, but it\'s very basic and may not be what you\'re looking for. C. Be original - don\'t copy someone else just because they\'re successful. D. Cap your framerate while recording to 30, as Youtube re-encodes your videos and caps them at that rate anyway. It\'ll reduce the likelihood of graphical lag spikes and makes the files smaller (take less room on your hard drive and less time to upload).
  11. In FS9, I love the amphibian Cessna, mainly because it\'s easy to fly and you can land anywhere with water or flat terrain.
  12. I\'ve always gone by the assumption that if the crew manages to land back on Kerbin without dying, it\'s a success. I just call it a test of whatever stages it safely gets through and the landing stage.
  13. I learned the hard way that if you place the fairings with symmetry, don\'t open them while landing (at least on Kerbin). I tried, and it started to tumble uncontrollably, as if the only one open was the one I placed originally. Using the provided craft worked, although getting inside the nosecone to place other things on the Bigtrak was difficult.
  14. I never said RAID 0 was perfectly stable, just that it would be better performance than just a big drive. Besides, you\'d be a fool to not have backups of any important data.
  15. You\'d probably be better off with two smaller drives in a RAID 0 config or a big HDD for your files and a smaller SSD for the programs/games you use frequently than a single big drive. It\'d cost more money than just one big drive, but you\'d see much faster loading times.

This is what is wrong with the government. The only people able to directly pass a law are nowhere near the best-qualified for the job; they\'re just voted into office by people who think 'Well, I\'m a Republican and Mike Rogers is the Repulican candidate, so I\'ll vote for him'.
  17. As far as the antenna turning into a standard telemetry module, that\'s because the antenna part has the same internal name as the one distributed by the maker of the plugin. I can\' really help you as far as why the receiver program won\'t work, though.
  18. fnordian - going by a lack of mention of Kerbin or the Mun in the .sfs, I\'d say that their positions are likely calculated based on the universal time.
  19. Neat. Are you going to add in a sort of 'dictionary' (preferably in the form of a text file so it can be edited by the user) that can try to tell the user what pack it\'s from by the prefix?
  20. I really don\'t thing these things are designed for speed; you\'d be better off with using something from the cart plugin for that. Also, when you consider the crawlers used to transport rockets between VABs and launchpads in real life only move about 0.4 m/s when carrying cargo, I\'d say they move at a reasonable rate.
  21. Fairings work the same way they always have - there\'s a fairing decoupler that you have to put at the bottom of your fairing stacks.
  22. Then use a loopback address. Looks interesting. Probably not the kind of thing I\'d use, but it would be fun to set up a computer on the network purely for this.
  23. You mean the feature that currently has no documentation, and as a result, can\'t be used? Good luck with that.
  24. As long as Metro is the default UI instead of the traditional desktop view, I won\'t be using it. They designed it for tablets and phones, not for workstations and gaming machines.
