River-run Air-race Challenge
boomchacle replied to selfish_meme's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
eeh... I've been playing this game practically since it came out. I'd say that people with joysticks have a serious advantage to people who can't control a ship super well with WASD, but I still prefer WASD over controller. I dont know if you mean joystick when you say controller or if you mean Playstation/Xbox controller, -

ok I'm pretty sure this one should be legit. I followed in Mordrac's path, so yeah... But I gained a bit of time so the time was 6:34 https://youtu.be/O2pPqFhRMB8 -

well, if you're going to disqualify my second run, you have to disqualify my first one, because I went down at around the same place in both... -

Dang, JUST SHY of 6 minutes, I got a 6:06 min run with a super modified Ionizer I'm pretty sure I made no breaches and didn't technically crash land. staged at 0:53, and my parachutes decided that I had stopped at 6:59, which means that 6:59 - 0:53 is 6:06 Make sure you look at the in game time, not the video time, because the recording software does not accurately reflect the in game time. -

I dont understand how you got a base time of over 9 minutes when the in game clock clearly shows a time below 7 minutes. Make sure that when you record the time from people's videos, you record the in game clock, not the video clock, because the recording software often does not match time perfectly. Just look at the time at the upper left, not the video time. After all, someone could make a video and speed it up slightly to get an advantage. -
You upload it to gfycat and then post its gif link This counts as a weapon right???

take a .625 meter fuel tank, put some wings on it and translate them so they fit in your bomb bay. Then put a .625 stack SEPARATOR on the front. (decouplers don't work) now, put like 2 sets of 8 RCS balls onto the seperator and translate them so they are about halfway inside of each other. now put another .625 meter fuel tank in front of the seperator, small control module, small battery, and then a small nosecone on it. you can mount that onto a decoupler. I used to use the nuclear fuel rod to power it, but those tend to mess with the seperation as you have to clip them inside. you should also put a small nosecone on the back. you;ve got yourself a mini cluster bomb that may be able to destroy a light building, but defnitely not the VAB. variations can be made about what the bomblets are. you can use cubic struts, thermometers, small batteries, or sepatrons (set them on the same stage as the separator for extra fun but almost no damage to anything.)

made a stock AH6 little bird with 4 of the lightest possible missiles. if someone has a lighter missile, please give it to me so I can replace them and improve the number of missiles I can put on it.

what are the wheels for?
-
when you fire the rocket that shoots the projectile, it makes the mechanism attached to the rocket blow back and allows a projectile to fall down. when you stop the firing, the projectiles stop falling

this is the mk 2 version. Im *trying* to hit the vab
-
that was the prototype for a recoil/blow-back operated weapon. its not very powerful as its just a prototype its also too bulky to be attached to anything

The Thud is very good for small ICBM's and STSMs as it has a VERY high thrust for its size and also has a very high thrust vectoring angle.
