  1. I've tried (and failed) to make a podracer before... gonna copy some of the techniques used here if ya don't mind
  2. Tried playing Sandbox. Stared at the huge number of parts for a while. Started a Career instead.
  3. I prefer the simplicity of Kethane, but the mods I play with require Karbonite, soo... Karbonite. Though for the record, I would actually much, MUCH prefer to use Kethane.
  4. To each their own. If I never had Facebook, I would've never met my Nephew, who I didn't know existed for 20-odd years. If I never had Facebook, I wouldn't be able to keep in contact with people I haven't seen in years. If you don't want someone looking at your profile, don't add them... there are tons of security options. Really, what is there to be so scared of?
  5. As much as I like this idea, I think you should have the option to name your OG 3, or keep their default names. Stats and jobs stay the same. As for the poll question, I imagine they'll just expand the 3 to include a female.
  6. I've had a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro for several years now, and can confirm that with heavy use it can lose some calibration. I used to use it extensively for racing games (hey, it worked better than you'd think!) and since the use was rather heavy, I noticed the twist axis is permanently (though almost negligibly) stuck to the right. I can still use it fine for the most part, but I just have to be aware of that for sensitive vessels.
  7. An unfortunate side effect of destructible buildings: they blow up when you don't want them to. I've had cases where I'll try to land a VTOL on top of the VAB, and the VAB just collapses. Not cool.
  8. I think someone suggested before that the planets, before being explored, show up on the map as Crayon drawings. Very Kerbalish
  9. It's certainly a lot more impressive getting stock designs to work! If you're not into mods, well, that puts me out of suggestions. Good luck!
  10. Infernal Robotics is just what you're looking for. I recommend using the Rotortrons or Hinges for this particular situation.

It is also removed if you have launched your craft and then switched back to space center. When you return to the vessel after that, you can no longer revert. There may be other conditions where it is removed as well.
  14. Hi! Got a submission for ya. Modded install, but no modded engines used. Not too concerned what class it's put into. Non-stock parts: Infernal Robotics Rototrons (front wing adjustment) Infernal Robotics Hinge (VTOL angle adjustment... I did not use VTOL engine in this challenge) HullCam cameras Powered by a single TurboJet. Also has a Basic Jet Engine as a VTOL engine, which was NOT used in this challenge. Points: 100 + 677 + 1 = 778 53 - 49 - 32 - 66 - 33 = 233 778 - 233 = 545 points!

  19. Okay, so I sort of understand, but I do have a question: what is the ideal amount of torque? Judging by the progression of pics, we want a low amount of torque. If the torque is 0, does that mean it's perfect?
  20. Truth be told, I've started to get a little bored of KSP as well. As such, I've been playing other games more often (mainly Titanfall). When I do hop on KSP, I try to work on stuff I don't do often. Lately it's been making (and learning to fly) small VTOLs. Just gotta set your own goals, really.
  21. Well, in my case, I'm mostly just curious how much I would need to change my build-style to work with FAR. Apparently not too much I'll try to make an, uh, interesting plane for you to work with
