Log: player.log
  2. You should post your player.log. If there is anything serious, it will usually be right in there.
  3. Here is my rendition of the Rutan Voyager, the first aircraft to fly around the world! It only requires Kerbal Aircraft Expansion. DOWNLOAD It flies reasonably, but it does flex quite a bit. Any sane pilot would turn on SAS (I'm talking to YOU, Jebidiah!)
  4. AMAZING! The 8 SRBs are a little overkill, have you considered maybe only using 4 of them?
  5. Looks like the X-33 VentureStar. Anyway, very cool! Downloading right now...
  6. I love your username! David Bowman is the coolest fictional astronaut EVER!!!!!!!
  7. Love your username! Dave Bowman is the coolest fictional astronaut EVER!!!!!
  8. Thanks! I forgot about the PF Interstage and Thrust-Plate.
  9. I am planning a Duna mission using LV-Ns in a cluster with Cubic Octagonal Struts, but there is only one problem: no interstage. I have to make due with struts. It would definitely be cool to have a 2.5m cluster if 3 LV-Ns, a 3.75m cluster of 5 LV-Ns, and possibly a 5m cluster of 9 LV-Ns.
  10. NASA. Although it would be nice for SpaceX to have a go, they have no formal plans except, well, Mars One (possibly) and I don't think they're getting to mars any time soon.
  11. That is really cool! I've always wondered what the inside of a rocket fuel tank looks like.
  12. Maybe not titan, but there might be very primitive life on Europa.
  13. I'll jump right into it: There (at least I think) are only two somewhat-ish plausible means for interstellar travel - Alcubierre Drive and Traversable Wormholes. I was thinking: would it be possible to create a traversable wormhole? Please correct me if i'm wrong, but I believe that would save a lot of time for detecting the wormhole in the first place. I'm wondering if there is an existing mathematical justification for building/creating a wormhole. It might even be faster than an Alcubierre Drive, that is if it doesn't consume a hugely unrealistic amount of energy.
  14. Thanks! Although the model itself wasn't of much use, there were some pictures in the packet that were extremely helpful.
  15. Can anyone point me towards a 3d model of the Orion spacecraft and Service Module? Ideally it would originate from NASA, but it doesn't have to. I want to get the locations of the RCS ports on the SM just right for my KSP replica.
  16. No 7.5m parts. I think it should only go up to 5m. I think you should make the larger SRBs only one nozzle (the 4 nozzles is a little unrealistic). Definitely add a RS-25 cluster for the SLS. Also add a tank that resembles the SLS core stage. Other than that, i'm definitely loving this mod.
  17. I tried learning modding a while back. I abandoned it due to the complexity of texturing and UV Mapping. One of these days i'll probably try again and succeed. You should probably start with making a simple fuel tank. Look at some of the threads marked sticky under Add-on Development.
  18. I treat my Kerbals just like NASA treats Human astronauts - SAFTEY ABOVE ALL ELSE!!! All my rockets have abort systems and redundancy. If I send Kerbs to another world, I will always bring them back. I use probes to test new designs and send them as precursors to manned missions.
  19. I don't think that would work out. The IXS warship is designed for the far future (maybe the three-thousands) but this ship is a concept that could be realistically accomplished before this century is out... Plus the IXS could outrun this ship easily .
  20. I haven't heard that it's buggy. I play a modded 0.90 and it's fine.
  21. Whenever I build a manned Duna spacecraft, I inexplicably discard it immediately after building it. They usually have enough Delta-V to land (and return!) without help from aerobraking. I use MechJeb, so i'm also probably going to need a tutorial for getting there using it. I'll probably post a separate thread for that.
  22. I was actually looking up the Space Shuttle when I saw that someone had built it in KSP. I tried out the demo, and loved it, so I downloaded the full version.
  23. Well, you can use the existing mk. 2 wings, and the aerodynamic nose cone, but I do agree with fuel, landing gear, and multi-adapters.
