  1. Another quick question, is the dry and wet weight in short tons, long tons, or metric tons? And is there no way to get an engine that has 2000-6000K/n? The Rocketdyne F-1 is wayyy tooo much for my rocket but the H-1 is way to small

  4. So I'm trying to build a Delta II rocket and the lower stage has 37,900 litres of fuel and weighs 100 tons. I got the volume to be pretty close but the tonnage is completely off. I have 36kL of kerosene and liquid oxygen but that only weighs about 40 tons. The lower stage burns for 265 seconds but my 36kL of fuel will burn for 91 seconds. Do I build the rocket based off tons, burn time, or volume?????

  7. I can try making a smaller rocket with less TWR, but I don't see how it should affect things inside the fairing
  8. Alright but I'm not looking for an optimal rocket I'm looking for why my antennas keep flying off. - - - Updated - - - Okay, but do the antennas fly off for you too? I can't do anything when my satellites don't have connection because I can't put dish antennas on them

  10. Its a communication satellite so I stop loosing connection when I need another burn so yeah I want it to go pretty high, I might use the launcher to land a few com stations on the moon. I tried it without all the winglets and it started oscillating and ripped itself apart, it doesn't do it with the winglets though so idk. I'm not doing any maneuvering when I launch the rocket, it is going straight up when the antenna breaks off, when you launch it just do what I did in the video and put SAS on and just go straight up, you won't make it to 20,000m without the antenna breaking off. Just zoom in so you can see through the fairing and watch it fly off when the rocket reaches ~300m/s. And it has solar panels on it. EDIT : I just made a different rocket and the antennas are doing the exact same thing, I even have two struts for extra support. Here is the second rocket file (https://www./?6x2dze4fzspzyq2)

It actually will be easier for me to make a quick video LOL, I'll edit this post when I get it uploaded Antennas are inside fairing while they are broken off, I even stuck a random I-beam on it to make the fairings go farther out in case the antenna was poking through Video ( ) sorry for the artifacting idk why it was doing it and I'm not bothering to find out lol
  13. @RedAV8R : Updating FAR didn't fix it, antenna still flys off @NathanKell : The Flight Results say "Joint between Reflectron KR-7 and M-Beam 200 I-Beam Pocket Edition failed due to aerodynamic stresses Joint between M-Beam 200 I-Beam Pocket Edition and Fl-R25 RCS Fuel Tank failed due to aerodynamic stresses M-beam 200 I-Beam Pocket Edition collided into FL-R25 RCS fuel tank". The antenna doesn't actually blow up or explode, it just flys off the ship and noclips through it. The I-Beam it is attached to blows up according to the Flight Results though. I can see the antenna come out the bottom and it says it is debris so the antenna doesn't get destroyed. If I need to I can record it and put it on youtube

  15. I am having a problem with the reflectrons. I place them on my satellite and put a fairing (both kinds) around the satellite but when I launch my rocket they break off (not burn off but break off). I can see them falling away if I zoom into the fairing, they noclip though the ship when they fall. The Reflectron KR-7 breaks off at around 320m/s surface velocity and the KR-14 around 200m/s. I have tested putting a heatshield on top of my satellite above the reflectron but it still broke off. It doesn't exceed 15C so they aren't overheating. Here is my log (https://www./?e644zsm704171y3)
  16. There is no log as there isn't a crash or anything, I stated the problem, and how I got it to happen is I put a reflectron on a rocket inside a fairing and poof it breaks
  17. I'm having a problem with the reflectrons. I have them attached to my probe with a fairing around it but they still break off when I'm launching. They don't overheat they are just breaking because the air. I have tried everything but they still break off INSIDE the fairing anyone know how to get around this or what mod would cause this so I can ask on that forum topic?
  18. I'm pretty sure it is an asteroid as I didn't eject anything from my ship, but why is it so far away???? And the time thing I know for sure is ....ed up because I warped as fast as MechJeb would allow for like a minute (i think the warp was on like x10000000) so the whole time stuff is broken. I just want to know why an asteroid was so far out, I wish I could go get it but restarting KSP ended up breaking the whole save
  19. I couldn't get to it and when I opened my save the next day the VAB and everything on Kerbin was just a blue gradient void, no more save file :'(
  20. So i built a ship and sent it as far out as I could go. Lets just say I was boosting at the max boost speed even MechJeb would allow and I was showing no signs of slowing down and starting to come back to the sun. So I boosted my way back and as I started falling back towards the sun I saw this on the map. It isn't debris from my ship, I haven't ejected anything from it, so what is it????   21. Is .23.5 the latest version of this? I am running KSP .24 and if I use the newest version of RealSolarSystem the planet textures are screwed up but if I drop down to .23 for RSS a handful of textures are working but others aren't. If this is the latest version is there a rough estimate on when it will be updated?
