The Kerbal engineers (and some of the staff) have all caught a nasty disease. They will be OK, but it will take some months to recover. So the only engineers are new and inexperienced. The Kerbals desperately need some atmospheric planes, to send mail to parts of Kerbin. But the new engineers, well, can't assemble complicated planes. The planes need as little parts as possible. Rules___________________________________________________________________________________ -All entries MUST be stock. (Mechjeb is acceptable) -Sub-assemblies are OK, but count as as all the parts they are made up of. -Craft must be able to carry 2 kerbals or 1 ton load without too much trouble. -Must not break apart in time warp x4. Bending (a bit) is ok, but points will be detracted. -Must have a safe way to land. (without damage) -NO infiniglide. (Is it still in 0.90?) -Must go at least 150 m/s (Though faster is nice) -Has to be able to land, then take off from most terrain. (Doing it on mountains and other hilly terrain is not needed, but much more points for it) (plains, desert, highlands, etc) -No alt F12 cheats. That's about it. Try to use as little parts as possible. Achivements: Wind in my face: seat a kerbal(s) on the outside. Long range: Make it to a pole and have half (or more) fuel left. Biome Hopper: Visit 3+ biomes.(KSC doesn't count) Bomber: Carries radial decouplers under wings.(They are bombs so don't count towards part total, unless attached to something other than the wing) Safe to fly: Make spins and flip-outs very hard to do. Low budget: Cost less than $10 000

Ad Lunam - Final Update 2015-05-31
CrazyJebGuy replied to Cydonian Monk's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
I am into model railways too. And this story. -
Sure, It looks cool. But I made a heavy lifter. and it is completely stock. ( I haven't any mods ). It can lift about 36 tons into roughly 300,000 by 300,000 kerbin orbit. It was meant to get 3 kerbonaughts to orbit the mun and return. But when your rocket sience is: Bigger load, more engines and fuel! And you are always going "Will it be enough?" you will always have over-engineered rockets. I adapted it to land on the mun, and later Minmus. I'm not a great pilot and I think It could lift more, especially if MechJeb helped, so I think it could easily get 50-70 tons into Lunar Orbit. I would upload it, but I don't know how. But It is huge.

Biome Hopper Challenge (Open for v0.90!)
CrazyJebGuy replied to Claw's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
The only real bug/cheat thing I know of is infiniglide. So I may have used others by accident. I made two planes. Atmospheric planes. One failed horribly. It was a 4 engined jet biplane. The next one, worked, but was rather unforgiving. When landed raise the gear again so your kerbal can get back in. It was in the first photo. The 1 engined craft I landed on 5 biomes. I can't really take off with out any bumps or hills. This is the improved first one, it was a biplane. But now it isn't it handles beautifully. I can also be a bomber. Currently it is in testing. How do you post pictures? -

My previous post won't show an image. How do you add images? -
Biome Hopper Challenge (Open for v0.90!)
CrazyJebGuy replied to Claw's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Introducing Kerbollo 1: I don't why it won't let mew put images up. Not great, but gets the job done well. But turn the from the front gear around, it stops it from taking off flat surfaces. It visited 5 biomes. Had the range to come back to the KSC, but it has the frontal gear lower than the rear gear, so can't take off from flat surfaces. It has a high stall speed so the nose is armoured, in case the landing gear collapse. -

Throttle Bug Help
CrazyJebGuy replied to CrazyJebGuy's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
No, I don't have a joystick. Are you saying I should unplug the mouse? -
Help! My throttle doesn't work! I am literally using either 100% or 0% when I push shift it keeps going up, while it's going up if I push control it sometimes stops after a second or two, if it stops. Sometimes it is downright unresponsive. Same when pushing control. Help anyone?
