Devnotes and such are usually released at about 3:00 Pacific time. I only know this because I always read them heading home from school

I prefer OSX (trackpad support and generally more pleasant to use, not to mention excellent integration with my smartphone) and Windows 10 (possibly the first actually nice-looking Microsoft OS. I don't know of Windows 8, we don't speak of it here.)

The game From The Depths, while it is an amazing sandbox game, has a somewhat...clunky and unintuitive UI.
The UI is okay, but it's... a work in progress.

not sure if this has been done before, im gonna make it even bigger, but this is 4v4 dogfighting with just the AI's
I've done 5v5 battles, AI only. I get about 7 FPS though. Mainly due to the physics (about 400-500 parts in total) but there's also the squillion countermeasures and missile trails being rendered.

@Ignath: Oh yeah, I totally forgot about DasValdez and Shimmy and that sort of thing. DasValdez in particular is awesome-I love how he leverages the live format with his Kerbal Space Academy series, beyond the "hey guyz put 1 in chat if u think I should do dis thing" of many streamers. While I respect people that do that and simply enjoy the long-form setup of streaming, I also think the best examples of the live format are tutorials, because you can take questions live from people watching. (Speaking of long-form, why can't I ever accidentally write half an essay when I'm doing homework?)

indeed it's much more fun to play game yourself than watch others... i'ts just pointless...
*no offence*
KSP is that kind of game. The only commentary that goes well over it is science-y commentary a la Scott Manley or the like. It's not very well suited to the style of the (aptly named) Twitch streaming community.

This was a very tough call to make, but it had to be made to ensure that 1.1 wouldn't get delayed at this point. After all, we've been working on it for quite some time now.
I would rep you for that, but you have 2048 rep points and I don't want to upset the balance.
EDIT: Well, now you have 2066. Make that 2067, and good luck on your way to the next power of two.

I'm considering making some cinematics and such, possibly using BDArmory. As you may or may not know, BDA has a habit of using the green text that appears in the middle of the screen to indicate a lot of things. The issue is is that this text can't be turned off with the F2 key, which is... less than ideal for videos. So, is there a mod that removes all the text from the screen when the HUD is off?

Hm. I'd guess, judging by the varying colors and sizes of the containers as well as their position on that ridiculously large ship, that it's from some kind of life support mod. (or being used for that purpose, anyway.) I don't see them being used for anything in the video.

ERMAGHERD IT LOOKS SO GOOD
This is awesome. KSP really needed a GUI modernization, a lot of the UI looks downright ugly (especially at low resolution).

I typed a sentence on my phone without making any typoos!
...
Goddammit.

Otherwise, you'll be playing Kerbal Space Powerpoint
I laughed too hard at that.

"YOU HAD ONE JOB."
Also, I don't actually think heat shields occlude from solar heat. Correct me if I am tremendously, horribly wrong.

Favorite: A cool basement or one of the giant conifer forests here in the Northwest.
Least favorite: Hot summer nights, open fields when the sun is out, and art museums.

I've probably seen it about 20 times. Sometimes I go for months without seeing it, sometimes I see it several times in a day. That's the beauty of random number generators.

Go for Steam. A little file fiddling is required. However, the upside of Steam is that it has extremely heavy-duty servers, compared to the KSP servers which turn into a puddle of molten slag every time a release comes out.

Oooh... Does this mean we can have drift racing competitions? Once multiplayer is implemented this is gonna be awesome.

I think we all take symmetry mode for granted. Think about a life without symmetry mode. *shudder*
So much this. Every time I play Besiege I have to spend an hour recuperating in the KSP editor.

Wow. PC Gamer may have to change KSP's rating, as it does appear that KSP boosts immune systems of nearby children.

I self-identify as an attack helicopter.
Jokes aside, as of this post the poll stands at about 90% male, which is rather interesting, considering that's far lower than the gaming community as a whole. One wonders why. Is it solely because of less interest in STEM among women? Or perhaps the demographics of "female," "plays computer games," and "into STEM" don't overlap all that much? Or are women less likely to post/visit the forums (and if so, why?) Or something else? Really, this raises more questions than it answers.
Also, this should probably be moved to the Lounge or Kerbal Network, as it's essentially irrelevant to the game.

Thanks for all the advice!
Our thoughts on KerbalStuff's closure
in 2016

I wish it would be official. I feel like a lot of people often click "mods" on the KSP menu and never end up seeing the amazing stuff that's only on
KerbalstuffSpacedock. As I understand, servers are currently... Work in progress, so to speak. Give it some time, KS closed down what, two days ago? Websites are hard. I realized this, after making the mistake of right-clicking on the Google home page and selecting "View source."
Also, that is a most excellent username.
EDIT: hey, 700 posts!
