[1.8.1-1] [PLEASE FORK ME] Kopernicus & KittopiaTech
HANNIBALLA replied to Thomas P.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Thank you for the speedy update to this mod. I appreciate your work. -
Can someone recommend a video card for me? I love this mod but my current setup can't handle it even on low settings.

HAMMERHEAD - Prototype Lander
HANNIBALLA replied to HANNIBALLA's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I assume the command chair is inside the utility bay? I do not know if you have a mobility enhancer inside there, but I would recommend one if you do not. Not all planets are going to have gravity conducive to jetpacking up there, and the design is a little hard to clammer over to get to the control seat. I appreciate the feedback sir! Next version will have reflect the advice from this thread. -
I built a dropship. Big thanks to you for your videos and tutorials. If you have time please take a look at it. It wouldn't exist without your work.

HAMMERHEAD - Prototype Lander
HANNIBALLA replied to HANNIBALLA's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
On the surface of Tylo a kerbal can still click on the seat from standing on the surface. I appreciate the input, the next revision will have a ladder, in case there are times where the surface prevents clicking. -
HAMMERHEAD - Prototype Lander
HANNIBALLA replied to HANNIBALLA's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Thanks for the input. I really don't like the legs and I will give the landing gears a try. This was built after watching Cupcakes' videos. The original design was called, "The DropCake." -
Ladies and gentlemen, I am proud to present the Hammerhead Lander. This is my first attempt at lander such as this. Can be flown from its external command seat, or from its top mounted docking port. Features just under 5k dv. This is the prototype for the design, so any questions, comments, or criticisms are greatly appreciated. https://www.dropbox.com/s/1mx0vsggijvpxy9/HAMMERHEAD%20LANDER.craft?dl=0

Dude, this mod is tight! I use ions for all interplanetary transfers, this just made things way more practical!

[1.2.2] Solaris Hypernautics v0.5.4 DEV Thread
HANNIBALLA replied to Carbonjvd's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
First off, big fan of your mod. It's a lot of fun. I'd like to suggest either tweak scale support or some smaller part variants. Like the VEX-Type Flux Magnetic-Drag Array. It would be awesome to have a smaller version of that. -
Precomputed Low-TWR Interplanetary Transfer Burns
HANNIBALLA replied to Red Iron Crown's topic in KSP1 Tutorials
Dude, how the hell did I just find this thread? This is something I've been trying to figure out myself for months on end. Thank you!!!! Now my Ion powered mothership is going to have a much easier time of it. -
Gravity assist altitude?
HANNIBALLA replied to HANNIBALLA's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Trying to accelarate. Looking to save dv for my trips to Moho and the outer planets. Should I try to get as close to the atmosphere without reentering? -
I'll set up where I'm at in the game before I pose my question. I can travel interplanetary space and have landed everywhere except eve. I can use a gravity assist to gain and lose velocity. I often preform an assist around Tylo to get captured in its orbit. With Tylo I can flyby with a 5k periapsis. I've read that people use Eve for a gravity assist to other planets. What I want to know is what should my periapsis be for a gravity assist off of Eve? Does it dip into the atmosphere?

Thank you for the spreadsheet. This has helped a lot with building landers.

I have a fleet of rcs landers and rover just for Pol. Its really a fun place to goof around at.

Vall, sent more ships to Vall than any other body. Currently building a fuel depot on Vall in order to supply the dozens of Kerbals stationed on its various outposts.

I've reviewed your entry. Large ship, tons of nukes, all pretty standard. Your lander was really cool, and you barely made it in to Laythe Orbit. All of the dv stats added up, you put a lot of specific details into your imgur gallery. This meets all the requirments for a Jool 5 challenge. Nicely done! BTW Ziv, that's 3 reviews I've done. Can I still get my judge's badge?

Jeb is with Valentina doing a gravity assist around Tylo currently.

X-97 Ion Lander. Has landed and returned from every body except Kerbin, Eve, Tylo and Jool. Eeloo required a radioisotope added to it, but it returned. Duna required a parachute and hasn't been tested in 1.0 3,578 dv, more than enough to get your Kerbal to the surface and back. 481 kg on the launchpad.

The Dv and fuel all checks out. Loved your lander, and the rover on laythe was cool as hell. This one satisfies all the requirements for a sucsessful Jool 5 in my opinion.
