  1. I really want to see what you\'d come up with for the f-14. At first I didn\'t want to ask anyone for help, but I\'ve hit a wall with this project. http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=13423.0 craft file is in the OP just needs damned aerospace mod there is my work so far, i hope you can pull ideas from it. i can hardly wait~ im going to get out my boom box and play highway to the danger zone on a cassette tape. all while doing fly byes around the tower.
  2. This shouldn\'t fly but does. Why did I even attempt this?! It\'s A bird, it\'s a plane, it\'s............ an apartment complex? I wonder if this is the first time A building was flown? this will never work odd it spawned in without a grand fireworks display lets get jeb for this one, its going to be a bumpy ride do a barrel roll fox. side note, 13,000 at 370ms Instructions: There is a slight chance that it may explode into several pieces at launch, killing not only the pilot kermans but everyone living in said apartment building. if it survives yaw right. Do your best to yaw left and set throttle to around half. pull back gently around 30mps and enjoy flying an apartment building (that was fun to type out). set trim using ALT+ q or e as needed *this is kinda random and depends on how the parts rest after generation/spawn*. well i had my fun and I\'d really like to see what other engineers can create.
  3. Sea planes are a bit tricky for me. I just can\'t nail the look I want with the capabilities it needs for a water landing. The best chance I had was a VTOL using a mod part to adjust engine pitch from 0 to 90 (mod part from damned aerospace or robotics?) *shuffles around for picture* ah ha! all well and good at takeoff guiding her down engines pull a magic trick on even the softest of landings just one question remains, how can i get it to float? I\'d like to find a basic bar *not strut* to hang a few empty fuel tanks from to form landing gear. suppose I\'ll scrounge around for one. anyways awesome plane you have there!
  4. well going smaller is great if it would look the way i want. but i just cant play with the shapes on a small scale to fit the look. ultimately you\'re right, it needs to be smaller. As you can tell there\'s no clear way to push this project further *as far as i can tell* without finding A: Super glue for rotating parts B: Ultra light parts or C: smaller parts to combat weight distribution and the lever effect on joints. i did do some tinkering when i got home and found that the plane flies just as well without the front wing flaps. I also simplified the wings while still keeping its shape, managed to shave off 2 parts per wing (magic and spells I know). it seems like i should go on a mod shopping spree to find wings that fit my needs and smaller 'building blocks'. anyways thanks for the feedback and I\'m looking forward to seeing some craft files.
  5. there\'s a part in the damned aerospace mod that attaches between body and wings that allows the wings to change angle. so yup it changes geometry. the sacrifice for using such a part is that i cant use the stock kerbal glue on the wings
  6. here is my flyable f-14 prototype / project that is best viewed at night while squinting unfortunately it flaps the wings up and down during flight and explodes if i try KIS connect. i dont know of a stock solution to this problem and help would be much appreciated. I\'m no stranger to mods so any mods that could clean up its look would be awesome. also is there any parts pack that has a smaller rectangle/square piece fit for building, folding triangles isn\'t my thing. Also i\'d need such a piece to finish intake building as the stock parts are huge. have fun flying and improving this f-14 updating craft files for .52. it seems i can get away with more wing folding now and less planes sinking into the runway or exploding on load as always I\'m looking for 'top men' *or women?* to improve this project.
  7. Here\'s my attempt at a military spy plane. its not original since i went for the f-22 look, though its more about function right? after a little tweaking i had it pulling up at 15g. the secret to this planes in atmospheric performance is the hidden flaps in the wings. Gamepad or joystick are almost required to fly. and um.. yeah..
  8. i recreated a f-22 using the c-7 pack. i know i get 0 points for creativity. i put those huge flaps in the center of the fixed wings with crazy results. gliding bug is an understatement. il be going 60ms under 5000m and pull up hard and end up at 300+ms by the end of a non thrusted loop. rinse and repeat for unlimited flight within the atmosphere. do i think i won best glider, nah. just a shame about the bug really. if they fix this bug id be more than happy to give you a run for your money.
