Nice, Kaboom. So far, my missions on my super cereal sace are: Mun, Minmus, and scanner sats. Both pretty boring. I need to spice it up!

I am going to travel to Duna and other planets such as Eve and Jool soon and I was wondering before I started designing the rocket... what could go right? Wrong? Then I started to think of other people's missions, then I asked "What went good or bad in other missions?" So now I wanna know that. What good or bad missions have you had, and what went right or wrong? Tell me pls.\ TOOTLES

The trip to the Red Planet Duna is a nice, little, red planet. Similar to Kerbin. And I haven't been to it. I've traveled to the Mun and Minmus, but Duna is left untouched. And we need to touch it. A lot. touch it all over ANYHOO Going to another planet in KSP looks to be an amazing and wonderful experience. I am glad to be part of this magnificent community and beautiful game. And part of the experience is visiting other moons, and eventually, other planets. So I decided to show all of you my experience. I hope you enjoy this as much as I will. SCHEDULE: -New parts every weekend! -Edits whenever I feel like it! -Always make it awesome! PARTS: IT'LL BE HERE BY THURSDAY I SWEAR Previous missions to things: As I have mentioned, I have gone to the Mun and Minmus. Mun with a sort of Apollo-like lander, and Minmus with a tiny thingy. Also I hate trying to get captured by Minmus. so annoying. But my body is ready for Duna. THIS IS PROBABLY GONNA SUCK As of my knowledge, getting to Duna is going to be... not fun and games. I have a 'You're probably too dumb to know this so here's a calc thingy, you stupid' mod installed. (I'd say the name of it but I forgot). Second of all, I am going to make a kind of mothershippy rocket, and now that LV-Ns aren't as beautifully good anymore, this is gonna be even harder! Yay! Here's what I know about motherships: -Have engines pull the ship, not push -Put in space with individual parts, then dock together -Try to be sane -Don't forget stuff -Don't put too many things on I'm not gonna even go into having enough fuel, the lander, blah blah... I'ma just say there will be mining and probes. Foreshadowing, amirite? FORESHADOWING OF NEXT PART: -Designing the rocket! -Showing my design of mothership! -Explosions! -Failure. OTHER NOTES: This was partially inspired by Developing Duna. I need to read that, and I've heard it's great. Kuddos to Brotoro. Next, I am pretty much a noob, as probably said in the title. As many things were wrong with the rocket and redesigning would be hard, I just modified the Kerbal X a bit. Lazy solutions always work!

Here's a Mun lander with heavy inspiration from a random pic I found: Neat, aint it? Now, here's a rocket that just didn't work, and I went for a smaller design; tell me what was wrong with it, for reasons! It looks cool, but it doesn't fly cool.

Noted. Will make pictures of my endeavers soon! I already made some basic rockets, which orbit fine. Orbited the moon and came back. Time to land!

Got KSP this Christmas. Played .90 a lot. Took a hiatus. 1.0 was announced to be released in a week. Played again. And now we're here. I can make rockets and planes (I made a really good plane, but lost it) but my rockets aren't the best. I need em to look good. Planes, I'm rather confident with, but aerodynamicy tips would help. Anyhoo, I want tips for making rockets. I know to be small, start from the top, blah blah blah... but that's basic. I heard LVNs aren't very amazing anymore, and I have no idea how to really do a Duna mission once I get there. So I wanna now how to structure a rokkit, and how to make the aerodynamic gods happy. With my rocket. I also need to land on the Mun (I have in .90) and i'm terrible at landers. So give me your ideas from you playing KSP way more than I have. (Also, I recently got 1337 hours of ksp. It's important, I swear) tootles Edit: Another thing, tell me how to mine stuff good. I made a miney thing before just to test it, and I understand the basics. How do I make little drones to goto planets, get ore, go back to mothership and refuel it. Edit2: I also have some mods. Not too many.

I already got used to the multi-part fairings, I don't care really. Atleast they fly off fast.

Hey wanderfound! I've been downloading some of your great planes, and then I came across the Dolphin. I just made a speedboat, so I was thinking about speedboats. And when I saw "Dolphin", I thought it was a dolphin-like speedboat. But it wasn't a speedboat. And I was disappointed. So make a speedboat! Hopefully you're a "speedboat apprentice" xD tootles
