Tell that to KasperVld or either remove the WNTP thread then: It's good to see that moderation violates their own rules when it serves their own interests. -
I'll be the [snip]'s advocate and ask: Define 'smart'.
-
Well, my advice is that you should find someone, regardless of gender, that can also be your friend. In practice, the girlfriend/boyfriend 'detail' is pretty much a 'step up' from a friendship. If the person in question doesn't serve the role of a friend, but serves the role of a 'boyfriend/girlfriend', I suggest you think twice before continuing with it. Same principle applies to marriage. At some point, you'll reach a certain age where you won't be able to [snip] anymore and your partner may not be as attractive as before. What remains afterwards? Mind the 'friend' content on both 'boyfriend' and 'girlfriend'.

http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/107697-Destroy-Green-Iron-Crown%21/page26 Either this should be closed or moved somewhere else. Addendun to the closed topic in question: Now you see why your truly doesn't like the rep bar? Even moderators don't care and violate the rules. -
I would use re-root, but I don' know how it works and no one wants to explain it, mainly because it's assumed people using that already used a mod that did th same thing prior to 0.90, and knows how it works. Even the only video tutorial about it just compares it to the mod and that's it.
-
Well, but there's also a certain number of people that aren't happy, but they can't do anything about it, since: -They don't have time or skill to mod the game to suit their needs. -They think that posting in the suggestions forum will actually make something happen. -They don't have a choice, since there's nothing to compare against, which makes the game become a (not desired) measuring stick. As far as my research goes, SQUAD is making the game they want to make, while making people think their input means anything in practice. The few dev blogs I've seen are a confusing mish-mash of beating around the bush and trying to sound as corporative and clever as possible, as well as parroting the same stuff on forums over and over again (ergo the KerbalEDU forums, where one of the staff members just posted everything the users knew already about it [otherwise the complain thread wouldn't even exist] only adding two lines of [in theory] new information to it).
-
Couple that with the apparent fact that people tend to respect more people with higher reputation and you have a system where people wit higher rep can do, in theory, anything they want, while ones with lower rep tend to get most of the flak when they do the same. This applies for everyone, including members of the staff, who shouldn't even have a rep bar to begin with.

More KSP music: think of the possibilities.
Crimson Sunrise replied to Dispatcher's topic in KSP1 Discussion
While (as a musician) I could contribute in that regard...We're not sure if SQUAD is interested in not being in control of that aspect of the game. Plus, that would end with stuff being more orchestral than the usual 'ambient/jazz' current theme of KSP's music. -
In essence, HarvesteR is taking a crap shot at trying to understand what he thinks people want, while managing to miss the point completely. I haven't looked at past pages, but I'm pretty sure a moderator or two past just to parrot what everyone else is being talking about and already know once again for some strange reason.

As personal experience of said things tell me, staff could just decide you are a troll and punish you on these sole grounds. So tough on you if you're an opinionated person, because it's only a matter of time before someone decides to pick you for a scapegoat.

Thank You Squad [Space Engineers thread]
Crimson Sunrise replied to Captain Sierra's topic in The Lounge
Because there's not much to discuss about KSP without going in circles. Also, I don't think it's possible to talk about a GAME IN DEVELOPMENT without mentioning WHO CREATED the game or THE COMPANY MAKING THE GAME. -
I wouldn't place any bets on this, even if my life depended on placing bets in it. The things HarvesteR say end up not lining with the things HarvesteR do.

Thank You Squad [Space Engineers thread]
Crimson Sunrise replied to Captain Sierra's topic in The Lounge
Yeah right... Let's make SQUAD look better by comparing it to a much worse company. Works every time. -
Yes it is. Wait for people to do their 'justice'. I suspect that the guy would probably be perma-banned if he was a forum member, but that's just me.
-
I maybe too suspicious, but I think this is already happening cleverly in disguise...
-
Listening is different than taking into consideration. People got the barn? They got an excuse. They got resources? As far as I looked into that, it seems that SQUAD failed to deliver what they sorta promised to users and had to 'postpone the feature indefinitely' to keep themselves from receiving FLAK from the users. Another excuse. As far as I've seen, user input has affected nothing on KSP. HarvesteR is pretty much making the game he wanted to make since he started.

SC4 has an 'end game', FIY.
-
Take that as an addendun rather than areply.
-
You had put it like this: 'Do you have a SRB or a Docking Port?' SRB in my case.
-
Well, there's only one conflict I see, and this one happens every time which is a conflict between what people want and what the developers think people want. Since AFAIK, developer posting seems to be 'business as usual' down to trying to sound as corporativistic (sic) as possible, it's no wonder this communication failure happens and you end up with people complaining about features that were mentioned but are not present when the time comes...Or the abundance of beating around the bush.

If you're not gonna even read and think about what's being said(which, surprisingly enough, is a way a of deeming the quality of something), then what's the point of even being a member of a forum? Highly regarded users are also capable of making mediocre remarks and .... poor responses. So, how your 'perfectly calibrated' reputation system goes around that? Also, it's also proven that two people can say the exact same thing at different times, but only 'special users' will get noticed and CREDITED as such, even though they just 'copied' what was said by someone else first. Symbolic authority wins every time. Once again, why are people so keen on being 'certified'?
