There's a simple of you knowing if the answer is worth taking into consideration or not: Reading it. After all, we're not making life/death decisions here. We're just reading opinions posted by other people that may or may not agree with our point of view.
-
Hide post counts. Problem solved. People should be 'measured' by the quality of their posts and not by how big their green bar is or by how much posts they have.
-
No I haven't. I'm just questioning the necessity of ads to be put on these forums, considering KSP is a game you have to buy and all that.
-
I cannot recommend this thread highly enough.
-
Same here. But my blocking tactics are way more severe: -Adblock Micro -Ghostery -AdMuncher -A huge hosts file with ad addresses set to localhost, so they fail to load, since everything has to pass by the host file. Since the blocking is on operating system level, scripts that detect adblock usage can't see it.
-
I would go with just #1. So, your game is 'highly regarded' and you can't allocate a percentage of the money made to finance official forums, which also happen to be the only reliable way of getting support for the game? I'll sure Adblock the drac out of you.

I think positive repping is also a bad idea. The potential for clique creation(ergo the 'Green light people' thread), forced white knighting and segregation amongst a base of people that should be homogenious is immense. Better IMO that we can lift others up without making them part of 'something special that other people should aim to be'.

Stability indicator design / idea

I'm pretty sure they use fluid dynamics for those kinds of tests. But since it's KSP, the crash dummy style 'notation' is suitable. -
What have you done to KSP?!!
Crimson Sunrise replied to EpicFail's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
And I'm pretty sure you'll buy the game and pay the monthly fee for the OP, right? I would take everything SQUAD promises or promised with at least 2 tons of salt, or else you'll be hugely disappointed as many users who expected things to be one way (as announced by SQUAD) and ending up in another way(i.e. the barn thing). -
If the overhaul is something akin to FAR, there's no compatibility to be broken. Sounds like a disguised way to forcefully convince people to adopt the new overhaul. Also, too much beating around the bush in there for the developer to clearly miss the point while trying to sound as corporate as possible(as if that would help in anyway other than confuse people).

An amusing news in relation to KSP
Crimson Sunrise replied to jiangtiandao's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I'm pretty sure an aerospace engineer wouldn't mock up stuff using a game when they have access to things that are more practical than KSP in pretty much all terms. Also, you can export 3D models you made parametrically and render then in a 3D modeler or something, which is also more practical than KSP for mockups and can give you better visual results. Sounds like a scam on every possible orifice. -
Possible for one situation, but not all of them. Still impossible.
-
And here was me, happily thinking that you meant disable the entire reputation system with that statement... Guess I was wrong.

Waiting less than 5 minutes in maximum time warp for a interplanetary transfer window.

An amusing news in relation to KSP
Crimson Sunrise replied to jiangtiandao's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Until some empirical proof arises, I'll still go by the 'it just looks similar' opinion. Considering those textures are most likely temporary placeholders, you guys never wondered where the KSP textures came from? -
Which eliminates the necessity of ads in the first place. [This next part will remain like this because it will most likely violate the rules due to a 'holier than thou' motive.]

An amusing news in relation to KSP
Crimson Sunrise replied to jiangtiandao's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Right, because no other planet in existence has those elevations, right? IMO, the parts are just similar and people are trying too hard to associate it to KSP just because. -
Next time: -Install AdMuncher -Edit your hosts file to block ads. -Install AdBlock or MicroBlock (Optional) -Install Ghostery Ads in general not only slow down a website loading, but are a threat to user's privacy and security as well.
-
Nothing yet. Main issue is not the parts lacking sensible adapters for other sizes, but the lack of bigger wing parts.

An amusing news in relation to KSP
Crimson Sunrise replied to jiangtiandao's topic in KSP1 Discussion
The fact that he didn't mentioned it was made in KSP (which I don't think it was. Where the other parts come from?), shows how reputable the game is out there. Which is not a surprise at all. I don't think any company would take your design seriously if you tested your prototypes in an obscure game featuring green man with botched physics and no way to do finite model analisis. Plus there is free software CAD tools that can offer those functions already and most CAD packages can render better quality pictures as well. -
All you have to do is this, apart from using a real antivirus: -Install AdMuncher -Edit your hosts file to block ad sites -Install Adblock -Install Ghostery You should have no more ads by now.
