  1. This page is the 'Repository' to all stories I\'ll make up about Ereus Technologies - Rocket R&D. Chronicles: -Clockwork Company Clockwork Company Gabriel Kerman was sitting in his office\'s chair. He looked through the window and contemplated for one second what Ereus Technologies was today. 'Rocket R&D. Hum.' He started remembering the company in the ol\' times. Back then, Ereus was an appliance company, specialized in Clocks and watches. They were the best clock company in the state, selling more than 1000 units in a month. It seemed clock making was the future of E-TECH, but one day, it all changed. * * * Frederick entered in the room, and exited, he sad: -Gabriel, have you seen it? They\'ve launched a rocket into space!- Gabriel, who was reading about it earlier in the newspaper, stared his friend for a second. After reading about it, he had been thinking about a great project. -Hey, Frederick, you think those bins full o\' boom have clocks? Both stared each other. * * * Two months after the beginning of the research, Ereus was going to present their last product to the leaders of the engineers teams from the world\'s biggest space programs. -Gentleman- sad Gabriel 'I present you Ereus Technologies most recent creation:' The cloth covering the device was removed, revealing a rectangular box, with a white outer shell and a black display. 'Behold the Space Clock MK 1, a watch specially created to work at the harshness from space, and capable of the precision necessary to conduct your space missions.' The engineers began to murmur to one another, speaking about possible applications to it. One engineer raised his hand, to make a question: 'I\'m seeing that your clock doesn\'t have any kind of pointer, so how you can see what time is?' 'Good question, sir. To answer it, let me turn on the clock.' Gabriel pushed a switch on the device and the dark black display showed red numbers, stating it was 3:15 PM. The engineers were now exited about the device. 'It uses something we call Vacuum Fluorescent Display. It consist of a hot cathode, anodes and grids encased in glass under a high vacuum condition. This means that A: as it is not a mechanical device, the chances of time display error are practically 0. B: as it is in a high vacuum, even when outside the spacecraft, it will not blow up because of diference in pressure.' The engineers were impressed. Apparently, the clock was a success. * * * After making the commercial hit 'Space Clock MK1', Ereus Technologies started to go deeper and deeper into the rocketry world. Their next product was the Gyroscopic Stabilization And Safety device. The next one, the E-100 SRB. And so on. 15 Years later, or as we like to call it: Today, Ereus Technologies is still making clocks and watches. But now it\'s main focus was another. It was to help to take the Kerbalnity were it never went before. It was to help exploring the universe, and to understand how it works. Gabriel now focused in the beautiful rocket standing 1 kilometer away on the launchpad. The Kerbal Orbiter MK 1 was going for the first time take E-TECH\'s astronauts to space. As the rocket turn on it\'s engines, Gabriel thought that even with the changes on E-TECH, one thing was still the same. 'We design, we innovate, we make.' The rocket took off. -First Flight First Flight 'Here\'s Burfel, we\'re ready to takeoff' 'Understood Burfel, you have permission to take off. T-10, 9, 8' The Kerbal Orbiter MK-1 was standing in the launch pad, one Km away from Ereus Technologies main building. After the successful flight of the Kerbal Sub-Orbiter MK-7 that occurred the week before, E-Tech\'s engineers finally agreed that this design was orbit capable. '4, 3, 2, 1, liftoff!' The huge 3 stage rocket took off, with it\'s 3 main engines blasting it to the sky. * * * 'Here\'s Burfel, we\'re approaching apoapsis now. Starting circularization burn' The rocket accelerated, and for the first time, an Ereus Technologies\' rocket achieved orbit. 'Ground Control, we did it! We achieved orbit!' The ground control started to cheer, and the permission to start the EVA was given * * * 'Starting to decompress the airlock' Burfel and Raybert were inside the capsule, while Signer was getting ready for his most important mission so far. The hatch opened. Now, there wasn\'t nothing between him and the dark, empty void we call space. For that brief moment, he realized how insignificant he was in comparison to the universe. He stepped out of the airlock\'s hatch. He was now walking in space. 'Signer, start up the RCS Thrusters. It\'s time to take a ride' The RCS controls extended from his backpack, and he aimed himself to start a small ride around the rocket * * * Signer couldn\'t believe that it was happening. He drifted away from the rocket. His teammates were trying to find a way to bring him back, but they couldn\'t find any solution. Moments before, as he was starting the ride, he made the worst mistake he could. He forgotten that in space there\'s no resistance to stop a moving object. He accelerated beyond the red line, and now, he was moving too fast. There wasn\'t enough fuel to stop him and bring him back. 'Signer, I wanted to avoid making this, but it seems it\'s the only option. I want you to open a hole in your suit' 'WHAT?' 'That\'s right. After you\'ve done the hole, I want you to face it away from the ship, and power all your RCS\' in that direction.' He understood what he should do. He got a screw from his spare parts pocket, and with all his strength, sticked it in his suit. The air started to leak at great speed from it, and he boosted his RCS. As he approached the hatch, he started to fell from the absence of air. 'I won\'t make it' He thought. He fainted. * * * 'Mr. Signer?' Signer opened his eyes, and saw his teammates, as well as some doctors around him, in a comfy hospital bed. 'What happened?' 'Burfel and Raybert were able to catch you, but you were fainted. They immediately made a de-orbital burn, to bring you back to Kerbin for medical assistance.' 'Thanks guys.' 'You\'re really weak, and you won\'t be able to leave the hospital for at least 4 months. It also seams that you have a permanent pulmonary disfunction, that will never allow you to be exposed to strong G-forces, or you will certainly die. It seems your first flight will also be your last.' He was glad to be alive, but he was also sad for never being able to go to space again. 'Don\'t be sad' He thought. 'You\'re insignificant in the universe. It wouldn\'t matter if you died. The universe would still be there. You\'re lucky to be alive.' He looked up to a window and saw the runway, with a beautiful sunset behind it. He never felt so alive.
  2. Slew, after 1.6 comes out, you will take out the fake stairs from the Mei Long LLV, so we can put the 1.6\'s real ones?
  3. I think that, in the next flight of the Dragon capsule from SpaceX, we should ask them to print the Kerbal Space Program logo!
  4. Outer Space Delivery Men The new rocket was standing in the launchpad, looking powerful, with it\'s Silver-tape hardened structure. This rocket, the Satellite Delivery Vehicle Mk 1 was caring the latest technology in satellite automation. It\'s crew: Geneden, Aldsin and Mike. They were heavily trained for this particular day. They would make a normal orbital flight at first, but after orbit was achieved, they would make something never done before. 'KSC, here is Aldsin, we\'re ready to liftoff.' 'Roger that. Stand by. T- 30, 29...' The 3 Kerbonauts started to check the 'Space Delivery for Dummies' drawings once more, before the countdown approached T-10. '...10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3...' 'ROAAAAAAARRRRRR!' '... 2, 1, liftoff!' The SDV started to accelerate, and a big trait of smoke was left behind it. * * * 'KSC, here is SDV 1, we\'re detaching the orbital burn stage now'. The last stage of the rocket, that contained the RCS fuel and the satellite, made small RCS burns to go away from the orbital burn module. Now, from about 10 M from it, the real deal could start. 'Prepare the satellite decoupler, Geneden'. 'Ready.' 'Good. Mike, be ready to go away from the satellite when it is deployed.' 'Roger' Aldsin hesitated for a second, and then pressed the button. Geneden detached the satellite from the rocket, and Mike, controlling the RCS, made a small burn to go away from it. The satellite deployed it\'s Solar Panels, and the antenna pointed itself to Kerbin, with the logo of the company that made it printed on it\'s sides. 'We did it!' Geneden and Aldsin started to celebrate, but Mike was focused on something else. He stared at the drawing in the 'Space Delivery for Dummies', looking for instructions to return home. Then, he finally realized that their rocket was just Command pod, parachute and basic RCS kit now. He looked in panic to the monitor displaying their orbit. 'Guys?' * * * They were desperately trying to find a solution to go down, alone, because the KSC crew went to the bar at the other side of the road to cheer. 'Hey, Geneden, we still have some RCS fuel left... We can burn it to keep ourselves warm...' -RCS fuel?- Mike thought. 'That\'s it! RCS! We can use it to decelerate the ship to a sub-orbital route!' Geneden and Aldsin stared each other for a second. * * * The RCS fuel was almost finishing now, and they succeeded to make the de-orbital burn. 'We\'re going home!' The ship leaved a trait of smoke, like it did at the launching, while it was crossing the atmosphere. The parachute opened and the rocket decelerated to around 100 m/s. 'Man, I\'m really angry with the KSC Crew. They left us alone in space, without telling us how to come back!' At 500 M, the parachute fully opened. The capsule slowly felled until it landed next to the bar in front of KSC. When the kerbonauts leaved the capsule, the command crew was going back to KSC. They stopped. The KSC commander, with a happy face cheerfully asked: 'Did we missed something cool?' Small story I wrote in about 5-10 minutes. Nothing really great. Note: -BASED IN A REAL STORY- (The only difference is that the facts were totally changed =P)
  5. You mean, this one?: http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=6397.0
  6. Is there still a way to obtain the first BACE Co. release?
  7. The video below contains some sweet footage of a mün base. Also in this video there are some pieces I can\'t identify. So, I\'m asking for help to identify them. The pieces are: -The fuel tank below the BACE Co. Command Module -The legs below the BACE Co. Command Module -The engine below the fuel tank below the BACE Co. Command Module -The dome in the ship that first appears in the video ( 4-16 secs. ) -The central strut that holds the antenna dish in the second ship -The yellow spherical tanks in the second ship, from 32 to 1:48 seconds/minutes Thanks for the attention!
  8. Wow. This is almost like EVE Online\'s chronicle called 'inferno'. Melancholic, I must say. :-|
  9. Haha! Very good alchemist! You\'ve made a very nice story, and i loved the reference to PowerTech\'s PowerSat. Good work!
  10. Yeah, the plugin_data worked! (Now I can go to Minmus... with stile! 8) )
  11. It\'s only me, or the dynavolt K30 panels are simply exploding in launch with everyone?
  12. Fantastic! This is another prof that Kerbal Space Program is made not only by it\'s developers, but also by it\'s community, as almost anyone have being able to do before! Congratulations to you Nova!
  13. That\'s very nice man, you should keep going on this. Also, ask NovaSilisco to see if he can help you with the textures...
  14. Nice one, Vlad. Planetary infrastructure, here I come! 8)
  15. Nova, I\'ve downloaded the pack, and everything is perfect, except the node piece. In the parts menu, It doesn\'t have a image, and when I try to plug it on something, it doesn\'t connect. It appears as a 'disconnected from rocket' part... Can you help me?
  16. Kreuzung, I\'m having a small problem... I had Cephei\'s plugin, and I updated the plugin and the pieces to match the latest release. But, the Ion Engine and Ion Battery says: Not available to KSP 1.5... Can you help me?
