I didn't think that the Kraken had hair, but this may be the case.

So I'm getting this weird artifact issue with the ocean every time I exit the VAB to the launch pad. The only way I've found to temporarily fix it is to force scatterer to rebuilt the ocean. Notably, this does NOT happen when I enter the launchpad from the main KSP view, just when I launch from the VAB. Any ideas what's wrong?

I really liked this community. I thought it was neat, science savvy, friendly, and fun. Though, as I read through these coments today, it's revealed itself to be little better than a typical Reddit page. There's flames and salt going around, and now even folk claiming to be better or more important users because of where they purchased the game. There's people who've become entrenched in their positions, reinforced by their own echo chamber, and unwilling to listen to anyone else no matter what they have to say, even going so far as to imply that Kasper is lying to them and there's secret nefarious intentions. I'm just really disappointed in the whole community today. This is childish. Good luck and goodbye. I'm out. Don't want to be a part of a group this toxic.

Doesn't look like the beta is up yet.

It's a huge undertaking, so it's definitely good to have a whole bunch of people able to help report issues. This is a good decision, as there's little more embarrassing than putting up a new update with great fanfare and end up having to drop a hotfix a few hours later for a major issue you didn't catch.

The only thing I'm NOT anticipating is waiting for the mods I use to update.

Just did a rebuild recently. AMD 9590FX cooled by a Corsair H80GT and mated to an AsRock 990FX Killer Fatal1ty 16GB RAM GTX970 w/4GB 500GB Samsung SSD Blu-Ray burner I'm considering submersion cooling.

I built a hydroplane. For those who don't know what that is, it's a jet- or piston- powered boat which goes so fast that it skims and bounces across the water (planing). With the afterburner on, it actually got up to a fairly comparable real world speed of roughly 140 mph. Sadly, it didn't create the glorious rooster tail of its RL counterparts.

I was afraid you all had forgotten us. It was a lonely feeling, like one sock left in the dryer.

Love this mod so much. I can hardly imagine playing KSP without it anymore, even though I stink at landing spaceplanes.

Is it just me, or can Kerbals no longer take surface samples, even with a fully upgraded astronaut complex? I tried to get a surface sample at the beach with Jeb, and the option was no longer there. Edit: Nevermind. It's in R&D upgrades now. Derp.

That's pretty crazy. I'm running a 9590 and it takes a good 20-25 seconds.
