Yes please! Is this the old Spatha or new Spatha just Spatha makes me think of a Spatha and a Spatha when you say Spatha and I think Spatha. 7 Spathas in one sentence. Noice.
-
That is an amazing looking lander! And Tylo escape?!?! I can barely land on the place, never mind get back out again! Congrats! - - - Updated - - - IMO there are few gods in KSP. Scott Manley, Rune etc. Nonetheless, this is evidence that you belong among them. AMAZING craft!! Love it!

Due to the relative success of my last thread, SRB uses (check it out if you want), I decided to begin a new one. This time, on those OP monoprop engines. The question is, again, how do you use them? Upper stages? Probes? You got a use, we wanna hear it! As always, +rep anything you like. Great posts are always encouraged and generously repped. I used them on a surface base, but there's nothing left to screenshot xD. So go on, how do you use the Radical Radial Racers?
-
I LOVE that sort of idea. This is exactly what I was after when I started this thread. I mean, +rep to everyone but this is ingenious! The feeling of precision is somewhat satisfying when you get a smack on, perfect course without any control, ain't it? - - - Updated - - - RATO packs. Love the name. I might try them myself, if you don't mind of course.
-
At last, someone who wants size2's! Not that anyone else doesn't, but most people don't mention it nonetheless. - - - Updated - - - Holy mother of... that is HUGE! (That's also what she said xD)
-
Very nice. Reminds me of the White Dart, but more compact. I'm starting to run out of good things to say about your craft so as always, wonderful job. +rep.
-
Very nice! Its hard to incorporate SRB's into planes. I like this a lot!
-
Lately I have begun to use SRB's (solid rocket boosters) for more than just assisting launches. Mainly, I have been using Fleas to kill speed and place myself on sub-orbital trajectories. I have found the precision rewarding when it pays off, and SRB's can be used, detached and forgotten. My question today is : how do YOU use SRB's, for purposes other than launching? Don't forget to +rep anything you like posted here!

Moth Mk2 - Ultralight Ion Dropship
ryan234abc replied to Cupcake...'s topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Honest to god, I'm so thankful you put in the extras like the rover. Its just amazing. Quite frankly, I think this will replace my old low gravity craft, which did operations on Minmus, Gilly and Pol. Thanks so much for this. I just can't WAIT to try it out. Love it! -
Von Braun Station. Part-friendly, gorgeous docking hub.
ryan234abc replied to Rune's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Hey! This is what I did with your station! First time uploading Imgur album, so I may need to edit this post a bit What do you think? The Refueller, the Miner and the Lander variants. Note the lander (one round Laythe) is 0.90 AND no longer has a craft file. However the asteroid collector is a handy long term fuel station, while the refueller is a fuel station that requires less effort, but last no where near as long. All launched quickly with hyperedit for demonstration. What do you think? -
[Showcase] Showoff Your Rep-Worthy Crafts

http://i.imgur.com/MB4teD5.jpg' alt='MB4teD5.jpg'> This is my heavy duty Mun lander. Enough fuel to return to Kerbin. It has not heat shield though. Gimme a +Rep if you like it! -
Sparrowhawk aeronautics birthday pack!

Happy B-Day! And congrats on one year! Keep up the great work! -
Longsword. Big Reds to orbit at 25% payload fraction.
ryan234abc replied to Rune's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Hell yea! Good for you Rune! I'd love to see an SSTO that could take up some heavy duty record making. Give it a go, I say! -
Longsword. Big Reds to orbit at 25% payload fraction.
ryan234abc replied to Rune's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Longsword is a nice alternative to the general hubbub of SSTO's in KSP. The new wings are hard to work with, because you can't get a finely tuned shape, but this does surprisingly well in terms of looks. And what can I say about practicality? Well, I think its just amazing. I launched this with a separate fuel tank/boosters and, using the fuel in the big red, got this on an encounter with Laythe. Not quite Laythe rated on its own but almost, almost. The trilogy meaning Spatha, longsword and white dart? And good night! Where u going! PANIC!!! Just kidding. Take a break. You earned it. Oh and how did you get air in the intakes in space? I want to guess its got something to do with closing the intakes? Oh again. How do you get docking ports to double couple. That was a bad question. Ok. How do you get the big red tank ports to connect to each end of the cargo bay? I can only ever connect at one end. If that made sense. -
I do like that a lot. It makes a good variant for the Eagle and seems quite like my sort of thing. The big-s back to back wings look very handsome indeed. I'll be trying out the longsword now. You have some great concepts don't you? Maybe you should do a runner up thread, for those that didn't QUITE make it into the record books, if you know what I mean. Duna rating your ships tends to add a finishing touch. I like this Eagle prototype a lot. Sci-fi ish. That made no sense... Looks great. Longsword here I come!
-
The Eagle has always been my favourite of your crafts. Thanks to the new heating effects the nuke engines have been rendered quite inert when it comes to using them on long distance burns. However, the Eagle works quite decently with Reliant engines (deez names) although they run out a considerably bit quicker. I know this is the Spatha thread but I can't quite contain my excitement at the 'its next on my to-do list'. Honestly the Eagle is the best looking, best working ship you have made so far, in my opinion. And this is even more off the topic of the Spatha so ill stop now but the White dart 'do ALL the science' button made my day. #Eaglehype2K15 p.s I think im cool and modern xD ↑

1st! I think. When I saw this thread I was thinking of the original mk2 Spatha. When I saw this I was considerably surprised (in a good way). Like with the white dart, its great to see your remaking some of your classic pieces. And for all the truly attentive Rune fans (Runers, runerians?), I can't wait to see the return of the Eagle, as prompted in a post a thread (SSTO's maybe?). This, nonetheless, is a great craft and I can't wait to give it a go. Thanks Rune!

White Dart 1.0. It was about time.
ryan234abc replied to Rune's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Thank god you remade this. I used this on many missions as a personal default transporter for cargo, crew etc. With the new aerodynamics, it flew like a brick with less lift then a skyscraper, and that was something given its amazing capabilities before. Tried it now, it works a treat. Now time to see that Spatha thread eh? Thanks again Rune. Your the best! -
Tried out the Daring. I DARE to say (eheheheh) it is a slight bit better looking then the Intrepid. But I think the point is less about looks, although it is nice looking, and more about handling. I tried disabling SAS/RCS as with the Intrepid and this surprisingly handles much better. In fact, I think its as flyable with control assistance then without. TBH I really would like this to survive 1.0. Then again I WOULD like my modded colony to live but 1.0 has to come. Either way the Intrepid was an amazingly genius craft and the Daring makes it better. A small challenge though. With your recent Kraken drive ships, id like to see an SSTO that can carry a kraken drive into space, deploy it, and return safely. I gave it ago myself but the kraken drive is very hard to miniaturize. I guess its something to consider. With the far star hitting the market, id love to see something like that. As I was saying, great craft, great upgrade, great builder. Cheers as always Rune.
-
Gave it a few test flights. Handles really well, although without SAS and/or RCS it tends to nose dive, particularly in re-entry without RCS. NOT DISSING IT!!! I wouldn't call it noob friendly but it certainly isn't Scott Manley skilled either, if you get what I mean. Either way its a great craft and I intend to keep using it. I do like these mk3 crafts you make, I must say.

I recreated that scene from Interstellar where they dock the lander to the spinning Endurance on a suborbital trajectory. Thank god for quicksaves. I must admit that the ships weren't EXACT replicas of the interstellar ones but the fact I did it over Jool made it ever so exciting. Now to figure away to post screenshots. Some tense moments eh? :3

Love it, as always! Download download download! - - - Updated - - - I didn't notice that before. It's the icing on the cake isn't it?
