  1. If anyone wants me to write or do copy-editing (which I did for the cgraniger's Ribbons website), shoot me a PM
  2. Ooh, I like this one. Doing it without external cameras is double points!I can't imagine upside-down is terribly hard (I wanna try) but backwards is a neat test of navball-reading and instrument flying.
  3. Oh, here's a thought... how difficult would it be to have an antenna to return to its prior state after transmitting? For example, on probes I want my 88-88 to stay deployed rather than folding back up after transmitting
  4. I still want to figure out which of the devs put that in.
  5. The only time I'd use stack seperators is if I need both cut ends to be accessible for some reason. This is really rare, and as Floppster said I don't want to add debris.
  6. From 0.21, iirc (uses the KAS grapnel)
  7. I actually plunked down a base at the north pole of Moho as part of a challenge... was within a kilometer of the mohole. I think I lost two colony modules trying to do that... damn Moho always taking more delta-v than you think it will. Of course I still kinda want to build a base hanging suspended over a mohole... haven't actually measured if their diameter is >2.5km though.
  8. ...fantastic. I'll have to play with the new probe-LoS-required logic... should make initial voyages to outer planets, erm, fun. Small change request: right now the throttle setting lists power usage in terms of E/packet... can you change that to E/s now that packet interval is constant? E/s is what we generally are actually hawk-eyeing
  9. You monster. (How did you get that many kerbals to Moho?)
  10. My solution was to give reusable experiments (like the thermometer) 100% transmission.
  11. Moho. Little scorched brown ball always takes way more fuel than I think it will, for just about every stage of the mission. Also, some combination of the mass/radius/rotation makes it take forever to survey. I will fully conquer it someday... Roundtrip, and play with the moholes. I wonder if I can manage to drop an asteroid in there... :tempts the Kraken:
  12. I haven't answered the poll since I don't feel my eyeballs are calibrated enough to measure performance effects, especially since time can just start dialating if the game gets too framey.
  13. Works for me. Also, for challenges that are atmo-heavy, "if you use FAR, that goes in a separate category" is often a good idea.
  14. So is there a known way to get the three of them to play nice as of MJ build 240 and ScanSat v6r2?
  15. That changes it only for the current mission.
  16. Try mods. Do a free-return trajectory around Mun using only one burn from LKO to landing. Land on Tylo and return. Go into a circular polar orbit around Kerbol. Park in orbit around a moon, EVA to the surface, and back up to the spacecraft. Investigate the Munar Poles, the Great Canyon of Dres, or the Moholes. Start a rock garden around KSC. Land an asteroid somewhere other than the Kerbin system. Fly a jet around Laythe.
  17. Kerbal Space Program Renaissance Compilation, plus a custom skybox, plus slightly edited suit textures.
  18. Mentioned this before, but here's a screenie of Jeb doing the Abort-to-EVA:
  19. Postscript: Ok, running out of power on the dark side of an orbit is right properly freaky Love the detail of the cabin life support fans going dead.
  20. Squad needs to hire you. Like I said, you're blowing the current assets out of the water.
  21. Re: plane shake: how about G-force? Ideally if a plane is cruising straight and level you're near 1G normal acceleration, wheras on reentry/boost you're pulling more. It'd also give a neat visual indicator of when you're maneuvering hard.
  22. Request: RasterPropMonitor support. Dock like a pro with the HUD off!
  23. Today I Learned! Super-handy for the invariable times when I want a new save but haven't loaded a flag into the KSP directory yet.
