[1.0.5] Kerbal Planetary Base Systems v1.0.2 Released!
T.A.P.O.R. replied to Nils277's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
I had to drive around for a couple of minutes for it to show up. Don't think I tried it on Win7 as I was playing mostly in Ubuntu due to the memory cap. KSP has been neglected for a few weeks due to studies and good weather for gardening. -
I hope they delay to at least the end of August 2016. That way I'll have no distractions in the pursuit of my accounting testamur.

yep good read

I've said this before, but as a kid I always thought it was unfair that he had to stay behind while the other guys got to romp around on the moon. Only when I grew up did I understand why. Michael Collins comes across really well in interviews. Seems super nice and I wish he was my grandpa. Hmm, actually he is probably my dads age.

[1.0.5] Kerbal Planetary Base Systems v1.0.2 Released!

Just did a bit more testing. It seems to be related to Raster Prop Monitor. I threw your mod into a bare bones install and the IVA issue has gone away. -
[1.0.5] Kerbal Planetary Base Systems v1.0.2 Released!
T.A.P.O.R. replied to Nils277's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Hey Nils277, First off, I love this mod! Just stopped by to report a bug. The cupola iva appears to be glitching into the 3rd person view. Link to images. They don't want to embed. -
Hi Kerbaleers, I'm having a spot of bother with my ubuntu 14.04 install of 1.05 I've installed a stack of mods over the last couple of days and am not sure what might be causing me issues. What has happened in the last few launches and ground missions is that bits of IVA and possibly other craft parts are appearing in my flight path or wherever my rover might have been parked. My frame rates over the last 24 hours have been atrocious on rover missions too (space is no problem for frame rates though). I tried removing the apps that relied on firespitter and layered animations, but no change was evident. Your advice would be most welcome! The mods I have at the moment are: Asclepius BahaSP Boulderco CapCom chatterer (installed today) CommunityResourcePack (installed today) CommunityTechTree (installed today) ContractConfigurator ContrackPacks DistantObject DMagicOrbitalScience EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements Firespitter (installed today) HabitatPack (installed today) HullCameraVDS InterstellarFuelSwitch JSI KAS KAX (installed today) KerbalEngineer Kerbaltek KIS Kopernicus LayeredAnimations (installed today) MagicSmokeIndustries MechJeb2 NearFutureConstruction NearFutureProps Nereid OPT OPM PlanetaryBaseInc Planetshine Probecontrolroom RealChute Scansat SetiContracts (installed today) SETI Ctt (installed today) StationPartsExpansion StationScience (installed today) TarsierSpaceTech TextureReplacer Triggertech Venstockrevamp http://imgur.com/a/1ikmj - (This is a brand new account, so my gallery wont embed yet)

I've decided to abandon mechjeb as I've lost the skill to rendezvous that I learned way back when I started playing in 23.5 I had developed the habit of making tea or having a shower while waiting for phasing orbits to complete. So far I can get within 45m of my target but lack the finesse to get precise and dock. Just a wee bit more practice I think. I had gotten a bit bored with the game on full auto. still love it for auto-stage though.

I have the same controller. Works fine in win 7 but couldn't get it working under Linux. You probably are a wizard.

Now that I've finished wasteland 2 I'm back to trying to get a decent spaceplane into lko

strange control drift.
T.A.P.O.R. replied to Netskimmer's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
This! happened to me a bunch. -
Nice, I haven't seen one of these since I went to TV & Film school

This is one of my must have mods. It looks great and helps reduce the part count on my old beast of a compute. What I'd really like to see some time in the future would be a version of the CSM which had a 2.5m docking port. I'd try it myself, but it'll take me 100 years to skill up.

I've had it running on max settings on a gt210 its about the same performance as on my gtx640 on the sak machine. other games are a different story, but KSP is just fine.

I was wrong about torque on or off, off and a quick timewarp stopped it. Alt+X just told me the time warp speed. I think it was my flight stick (which was tucked out of sight), it hasn't been calibrated for 1.04 and may have just been slightly on. I jiggled it about a bit and tested torque and time warp, the roll has stopped. Problem solved

I dunno, its happening in space too and I've never been one for pancakes. Not thrusting. SAS on or off, Torque on or off. The craft just spins faster & faster. The only thing that stops it is MJ kill rotation. :/
-
I haven't played since May and have returned to the game to discover that all of my rockets just want to spin around and around. Is this an early career plague or is it a new bug?
-
I thought that PhysX wasn't supported by KSP.

I'm all backed up for the important stuff But no upgrades until I finish studying (incentive to finish early). Thanks for the tip though, I'm keen to reduce my power bill.

I have been wondering about the C2D vs i3/5/7 performance. Would an i3 at 3.5ghz beat my old c2d into submission, or is it not worth upgrading until the old compute dies? I really only use the compute for KSP and excel.
-
1.8ghz is going to be a bit on the slow side, so expect some serious chug. I run it on a 2009 2.2ghz Core2Duo laptop and the chug really kicks in around 150 parts (graphics on full or on minimum makes little difference). My 2007 desktop is a fair bit faster at 3.5ghz on a Core2Duo with a slight overclock (300 parts is pretty sluggish). I don't know what kind of performance you'll get on a more modern processor, but my understanding is that the core speed has the most significant impact on KSP performance. I'm tempted to load it on my old 3.2ghz pentium4 just so see what'll happen

Accidentally skewed the poll by voting non mj I use it for launches that require my attention to be elsewhere. I've rarely managed to get it to land exactly where I want, so I let it get me in range, then try to land myself
