  1. I mean exactly that. Can't wait to see what you guys come up with next! Yanfret, how does this lander fit in with your existing infrastructure? What's it's main use?
  2. The flood of teaser pictures has begun again! Can't say I dislike it though, always great to see what you're up to. Any chance your Altair will have the airlock as shown in some of the renderings, like this one?
  3. More progress. Airframe is about done, gotta add shear pins and then buy myself a retainer and an altimeter.
  4. I like the new one too, actually. I can't see what geometry is what in the Apollo lander. Its a mess of shapes. Anyway, Im sure there are at least powerpoint presentations about going to the moon. Isn't one of the unmanned Orion + SLS missions to orbit the moon and come back?
  5. I always wish I could. But I get weird issues with them. The shrouds and some engines mess my game up, make nodes disappear.
  6. There is not, not yet. I'm pretty sure work is being done on it, but it will be out when its out. I think Dragon01 wants the highest level of realism before he releases anything.
  7. That's a really nice looking rocket, but it'll cost a fortune per launch, if you're clustering what it suggests to cluster. All the same I want one too
  8. Time to resurrect the resurrection thread! So I decided to get myself in gear and get my level 2 cert while I'm here in college. Im working on a Madcow Level 2, so fiberglass airframe, 54mm motor mount and dual deployment:
  9. Start with model rocketry, at least to familiarize yourselves with the procedure, then play with HPR, high powered rocketry on motors H and above. You can find yourself a local NAR or TRA club and find someone there to certify you as level 1, which will teach you a lot about rocketry. From there you can start playing more, though reaching space is an incredibly difficult challenge for 3-4 people
  10. Hey Yanfret! I started up my CMES save again today, and was wondering if you've found any solutions to the IVA issues, especially the amount of IVA seats not matching with the amount of defined seats, meaning I've lost one or two kerbals during crew transfers
  11. Its a Madcow Super DX3 Payloader, an H123 and no serious electronics. An arduino that was meant to measure altitude that didn't work correctly. And nope, just a regular old printer and some 100lb card stock, and the models made on this site: http://www.axmpaperspacescalemodels.com
  12. Are those pictures of craft files you've posted recently included in the DL, Yanfret?
  13. I'm Level 1! 1k (probably), perfect recovery and landed 10ft from the pad. I did NOT expect it to go that well: I also do papercraft rocketry, with free models from a number of sites, blown up to 1:48
  14. Most of Squad's assets are locked up in file formats you can't really open up, IIRC. Textures yes, but the actual 3D model is stuck as it is. Some modders out there have made their own Kerbal models, I think, to help them along in their projects. Also that picture is huge, you should try a spoiler tag around it
  15. I think you'll agree that the forums aren't the most organized place, and MM configs made by third parties might be out there that I haven't caught. I did read the opening post and noted a lot of the packs are WIP, I was wondering if maybe these had threads dedicated to them, perhaps
  16. I've done my bit of hunting, but searching this forum is notoriously difficult. What IRL spacecraft mods have support or a config for Realism Overhaul? Im trying to go as real as really possible and was hoping a few of some of the great mods also exist at Realism Overhaul scale, with all the bells and whistles involved. I would really appreciate being pointed in the right direction, thanks!
  17. Has anyone been able to come up with the proper way to land the Hab, Rover and Ascent Vehicle near to each other, with proper use of the heatshield, using MechJeb's landing autopilot? Because I have not: Yes, thats the NTR stage landed perfectly, and the Ascent Vehicle in ruins
  18. Thanks for the quick reply! I think your pack is one of the best maintained around. You've answered all my questions, and I'm glad I could remind you about the IVAs. Just to clarify, I love the Alcor pod, you're right in allowing players to control everything from IVA
  19. First, I want to say how great this pack is, it's beautiful and really well put together. All of this is well worth all of your teaser shots in the time leading up to release. My first question, though, is about the MLS and the SLS: if they both have the same upper stage, then what is the difference between the two in capability and role, apart from visuals? My second is about problems with crew and crew seats in IVA. I think I've lost Jeb once or twice in crew transfers using one of the Manifest mods. My suspicion is because the defined crew amount is less than the seats that exist in IVA, but I don't know. Are there plans down the line to change to IVAs with the correct amount of seats, especially for the Orion craft. (Out of curiosity, why don't you use Bobcat's Orion IVA?)
  20. Thanks Chaka Monkey Explorations Systems! Enjoy some shots of my Duna exploration mission, conducted using three launches. Of course, Im not associated with CMES, just a happy enthusiast:
  21. Looking good, as always! What is the docking port opposite the Orion in the pictures meant for?
  22. I love replicas myself, but I haven't gotten into RSS yet. All the same, I really prefer .64 scaled models, like Bobcat's have been since he started his historical packs. I think this project lends itself to modeling it 1:1, then releasing an unscaled version for RSS and a version with all parts scaled .64 for a non-RSS game. I really don't want another pack at the standard dimensions (1.25, 2.5, 3.75 etc), unless by chance the real model scales down to be like that, because loads of those exist already, there are stockalike SLS-like mods. Just my two cents, and as I understand it, I think thats what the OP plans to do anyway.
  23. Hope to see this come to fruition, looks really interesting. I like your approach and idea
