  1. I wouldn't mind solid color windows, but I would really prefer something other than blue.. The blue windows are very meh in my opinion, I'd rather a grey of some kind.. Not a deal-breaker, I'm veeeery eager to download this
  2. I suspect they package the runway and SPH in with the VAB and launchpad as launch facilities. But I would happily be proven wrong
  3. Any pictures available of the Ares V's EDS (Earth Departure Stage)? What youve shown us just leaves me wanting more!
  4. Why do we think the items they offer right now are so limited? Maybe it was a trial run to see what the reaction is before they either trash the project or expand? Either way, I hope they did click off those little options and start offering more. Black is my color for t-shirts, like lots of others on this thread
  5. So the long-awaited KSP products for us to have and hold are out here! I can say that Im both happy, and hoping. Happy that we can proudly wear Kerbals on our chest, but hoping that more is on its way (not disappointed, dont get me wrong). I havent seen anything to suggest that more is on its way, but I havent seen anything saying the opposite either, so I would like to jot down some realistic suggestions that I'd like to see if more products are on their way 1st. More color choices: Id like most to see the flag-planting t-shirt in black or a dark grey 2nd. More shirts: The flag-planting is a great start, but I hope that more designs are on their way. KSP could produce a wealth of shirt-worthy graphics To name a few, maybe the old loading graphic (I think a 3rd party produced that, so thats permission-sensitive), our old friend the launch tower, or a (semi) successful landing on the Mun 3rd. Hoodies! Hooded sweatshirts with similar graphics to the t-shirts would be something Id spend on Any more suggestions, or discussion on the matter? Go!
  6. http://constellationprogram.com/startpage/ Hope this helps, lots of really nice HD vids
  7. Cant wait to see this become reality. I love the idea, and want to make sure to implement this into upcoming station designs. May I suggest an airlock-like piece for cargo modules destined for the interiors of the station they're attached to? Id suggest 2m diameter, but only enough space for one cargo container to fit into the hatch. But I leave the design, and choice to implement, to your disgression Good luck working out all the kinks!
  8. There is definitely demand for them in certain parts of the community. But I think it does come down to difficulty. Better men than me have tried, and quit, so I think thats something best left to be coded into the game at the base level, by the devs
  9. Cant go wrong with a bit of Buran (my current background too)
  10. On the subject, is there any way to ensure that when youre setting yourself up in a Kerbostationary orbit, youre above a spot of your choosing (with autopilots, without, doesnt matter)? Ive yet to try it out, but thats the one thing that has me curious
  11. PM a moderator, they can be very helpful in times like these.
  12. Yeah, sorry. Thats what I meant. Nothing against your team and the stunning mods you have produced. Should have been more clear, huh?
  13. Unfortunately, big and Bobcat dont mix well, for completely legitimate reasons. There have been attempts, but the game is limiting on truly big things. (Im mainly reminiscing about the Cassowary, which is discontinued, right? I really wish that project worked out)
  14. Thats the other way of playing multiplayer KSP, and there are ways to facilitate this. Try looking up the Telemachus mod on the forums, but know that youll need to wait a bit as the author works out all the features he wants to include.
  15. Oops, I was thinking of the wrong directory, I think. That puts me more at ease. Neeevermind
  16. With this method of sharing the entire directory, will we have to worry about compatibility with Mac and PC, as IIRC, one is a .exe, which wont run on a mac. Also, will you even consider the handling of mods? Or does the system youve described lend itself to mod support already, as were gonna share the whoe directory (including the parts and plugins file, I assume) A hopeful subscriber, Budgie
  17. Well, I think the website should allow the functions for a moderator or save-master to start a group, then allow other account-holders to join said group, allowing room for biiig community-wide pass-and-plays, or groups consisting of 2 or 3 friends (or more, if youre lucky enough to have that many KSP-friends). Id be more inclined to make a group with a few friends than join a massive group effort, because then you get more playtime with good buddies. Of course, you can showcase one or two all-inclusive groups on the front page, I guess, but allow for private games too
  18. I was once part of one of these efforts. Its a great idea, but school caught up with me, so I couldnt really participate in the end. The thing I suggest you make sure to add is a way to deal with unresponsive members, and skipping their turns. Maybe also include a save-master to moderate each coop game, and always have access to the most recent save. Also, maybe support for mods? That would really draw me in, since I play with sooo many of them.
  19. Ive really only tried launching it with Mechjeb, but even that gave me problems until I watched Bobcat's video. Try performing the gravity turn a bit later than you normally would is Bobcat's advice
  20. Glad to see Im not the only one. In my social circles I sometimes feel like a minority. What are the numbers like now in the US and elsewhere? Are there more avowed atheists or unsure people than there are religious yet? I feel the shift is likely to happen in Western countries soonish
  21. Religion kinda, to me, signifies belief without need for a proof. I could write essays on my religious views (which tend to be a bit off-the-beaten path). But if you want to reconcile religion and science, I say look at all those subatomic particles: They work in some way, and form the building blocks of everything in our universe. But why do they work the way they do? Ultimately, I think a higher power (God, Buddha, Jehova, What have you) is responsible for the design of how the universe works, and then has let the universe take its course. Deism in a way, I guess. Thanks for an interesting post, OP. Especially on the internet, a hive of atheism, both militant and accepting
  22. Eh, close enough . Thanks for the interesting tidbit, I dont know much about non-US and Soviet/Russian space hardware Back on topic, I really love the Soyuz mods that have existed on the forums for a bit. Ive never been interested in recreating historical spacecraft with stock parts because I feel it doesnt do it justice (personally). Of course, I applaud those that have managed such great likenesses out of non-mod parts, though Such a useful little craft:
  23. Can we see some screenshots of exciting creations, Dev or users? (My download is god-awful slow today, and Im excited to see what i can do with these parts)
  24. Isnt the Shenzhou also a bit more cylindrical too? Thats a Soyuz-derivative, for sure
  25. Financially and in other regards, we could probably do better, yup. But it was a stunning piece of technology and engineering. It certainly had its place for the time, and I dont think it overstayed its welcome. Shame I never got to go see a launch, and I live in Florida... *grumble grumble*
