  1. The jagged circular lines in the sky appear to be caused by this mod when it is run with openGL. I get it in both Windows and Linux when I have OpenGL enabled. I do not get them when I run without forcing openGL in windows. To do that it requires me to strip down the number of mods I have loaded to be able to run the game in Windows 32 bit. In Linux I tested on 1.0.2 with only Scatterer installed and the jagged circles occured. Removing the mod removed the jagged lines. That said, it appears KSP 1.0 in openGL has some of it's own issues....like some missing textures...in the "loading" dialog and I've seen it in the altitude dialog. I get those issues in KSP in both Windows and Linux. My system details: Dual Boot OS: Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate and Ubuntu 14.10 (propietary drivers) GPU: 2x R9 290 4GB RAM: 16GB of RAM I run in Linux to be able to use the 64 bit version of KSP. The Windows version cannot handle all the mods I load into my KSP now that a bunch of them have been updated. Before 1.0 I was running a Linux install with 140+ mods. When I say I loaded only Scatterer I ran it on my "Base" install, which is the game copied from it's location in Steam (which I don't modify at all) to a Games directory I maintain. I keep a "Base" install so I can test things isolated from the rest of my mods. The only modification to it is I have CKAN added to it to manage mods I can add to it. The only mod loaded with CKAN for that test was Scatterer. I'd really like to see this mod make it to a released status....it is a beautiful mod. I just can't run it yet with the number of other mods I like to run. I estimate, with mods added since 1.0 came out, that I would be over 150 mods if all my mods were updated. Right now without Scatterer, I'm running 75 mods according to CKAN.
  2. Could have sworn I was clicking an holding. Guess I'm just too used to the KSP interface. Thanks
  3. Ok, just found out about this mod the other day after using KAS since pretty much just after I learned to get to the Mun. Problem is, I can't add anything to my inventories in the VAB. It doesn't want to put an item I drag and drop into the inventory. it just places it in the vab as if the inventory wasn't there. Any ideas? Here's some details: I play with A LOT of mods (130+) on Linux (Ubuntu 14.10). KAS is still installed. I haven't yet tested with only KIS installed, but I will be doing that soon along with some more extensive testing with various mods. Just thought I'd ask here in case there's something obvious that causes this.
  4. While I run a lot of mods (120+ on a Linux install), this was the only one dealing with backups.
  5. I loved this mod and it did save me in a couple spots....but I'm now no longer using it. Due to the number of items in my saves folder, this mod started to cause some horrendous hangs when saves occurred. I had the mod set to backup everything on every save. What the mod is set for doesn't really matter...as whenever the backup happens, it will cause a hang because of the number of items it has to backup. In addition it slows down transitions between scenes. After removing it the difference is night and day. So there's two problems when you have a lot of items in your saves folder: 1. when the game performs the backup it will hang for a time depending on how much is present in your saves folder. For me, right now, the hangs last for 15-20 seconds. Sometimes as long as 30 seconds. After removing the mod the saves are instantaneous. 2. when switching between scenes this mod causes hangs. For me this meant switching between scenes lasted the better part of 30 seconds. After removing the mod, switching takes maybe 5 seconds. This happens on all of my systems. Everything from my gaming system at home to my ultrabook. On Windows 7 or Linux...it doesn't matter....it happens. Regular hard drive or SSD, doesn't matter. Right now on my Linux install...where I did get the mod working....I have two saves, one totalling 39.5MB and the other totalling 27.3MB. That's NOT including the Subassemblies directory which doesn't get backed up. Now for me, these issues are moot....since I recently switched to Linux for KSP to use the 64 bit version, I've found it to be incredibly stable (just got done streaming for 7+ hours without a single crash). I don't really need a special mod for backups now tied to the in-game saving. That was only necessary because of the inherent instability of windows versions of KSP either due to the unstable 64 bit version, or the memory limited 32 bit version. As I said, this mod saved me a couple of times, but the hangs that it has caused have stressed me out at times. I will not miss it because of that alone. If you want to see examples of the issues I state above, you can view them on my past broadcasts. Example from Sunday night WITH the hangs: http://www.twitch.tv/thundergod97/b/643326839 If you want to see how it now plays without the mod, you can watch any of my streams from this point on...or any of my past broadcasts from this point on. No this is not a means to get more viewers...just want to point out a severe flaw with this mod. The more you play, the worse it gets unless you severely limit what is saved in your saves folder.
