With the new atmo, the Delta-V to orbit is much less, you only do need ~3300 m/s of Delta-V. With the kid souposphere, it did take 4500 m/s. I would try to look at some recent guides if you want to build planes as well.

Noone has said Terraria. It's really fun and NOT a rip-off of Minecraft, as many may claim. However Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is very fun, but you need to play a lot of casual/arms race/demolition/deathmatch to play the fun part of the game. I've spent about as much time on it as I have with KSP, at least I estimate to have.

You can probably copy the reversed thrust config from KAX props, and put it in a modulemanager config.
