1. It may be possible to areobrake in Jool’s atmosphere finding the right point between 195 and 200. The better way is to go directly to Laythe. When approaching prograde, the surface speed would be several times lower than that during Jool aerobraking. So aerobraking is much easier on Laythe.
2. I haven’t done comprehensive calculations, but some evaluations using Meithan’s graphs show that you want to go two-stage only if you’re heavy enough.

Payload mass, t 2-stage rocket mass, t 1-stage rocket mass, t

1 ~2.7 ~2.7

4 ~10 ~11

16 ~34 ~39

3. I did the same. Here are my figures for Isp and thrust at 2, 3, 4, and 5 atm. Meithan’s engine chart can also be used. It’s great! I haven’t completed the Eve Return mission yet, but my calculations and tests show basically the same. TwinBoar, Mainsail, and Aerospikes are good enough though. Unfortunately, no. In 1.0.2, the ion engine doesn’t work at all at Eve’s pressure levels. Here’s my empirical Isp graph for the ion engine at different pressure values. If using wings, the aerospikes seem the engines of choice.
4. My video capture tool has an option to show or hide the system cursor in recorded videos. But it isn’t able to hide the custom cursor. So I also want an option to choose the system one. - - - Updated - - - Oh, maybe, this mod helps. I must try it.
5. How do you define a boat? Is every thing floating in water a boat, or does it have to reach certain speed (or even do certain maneuvers) on the water surface?
6. In sandbox mode, it doesn’t matter what you do next. That’s why I particularly like sandbox mode. You choose the goals yourself. There are plenty of things to discover. You have all the parts. Do what you want!
7. Jool? My scanner rejected to scan Jool. That’s what I got for the Jool’s moons:
8. Is there a way (a plugin or something else) to plot the whole trajectory of a vessel on the map from the launch to the current moment? Ideally, I’d like to have it as an SVG image.
9. I did that. Or something similar. My test spaceplane ‘Ape’ utilizes two Nervs and two turbojets. The only way to get to orbit after leaving the atmosphere is falling into the atmosphere with Nervs on till the plane gains enough speed to stop falling using the wing lift (?) and leave the atmosphere again. I considered this way not efficient and time-wasting.
10. I’ve implemented this little feature. The code is added to the MechJeb dev branch.
11. Second click in the graph unfreezes the details. That’s how I imagine it. I don’t think one more details area is a good idea.
12. I believe you can play with your pitch angle. The Rapier’s ceiling is about 28 000 m, and the top speed is about 1500 m/s. The pitch angle should be so steep that you reach the top speed at the ceiling height where the atmospheric pressure is much lower.
13. T-1 Aerospike doesn’t work for some reason. UPD: The reason found. <input id="chkAerospike" type="checkbox" checked="" name="mediumengines">...</input> The input id should be '#chk'+allEngines.name, i.e. 'chkT-1' instead of ‘chkAerospike’.
14. OK. Tests showed the method to be more or less working.
15. Fascinating! That’s because of the realization difficulties? The click-and-drag frame is nice, but the [+]/[−] buttons are sort of useless. I’d rather have a ‘zoom back’ button that sets the previous range values. The details area is just great! Now it has everything I thought about to suggest. And even more. Great! - - - Updated - - - My suggestion is the ability to freeze the details (e.g. by clicking a point in the graph) so one could move the mouse having the details unchanged.
16. You can view the last modification date and the modifications themselves in the page history.
17. When I’m above 200 km and below 1 Mm, I cannot start the time warp. The message is not ‘You cannot warp faster than 1× below 1000 km’, but ‘You cannot warp when the vessel is under acceleration’. As far as I understand, Jool’s atmosphere starts at 200 km over the surface. When I’m between 200 and 1000, the ship doesn’t actually experience any acceleration, its orbit is stable. When the time warp starts above 1000 km, it doesn’t stop at 1000 and works OK until I stop and want to warp again. What causes this strange behavior?
18. In 1.0.2, closed intakes seem to induce the same amount of drag as open ones do. So is there any other reason to bother closing the intakes?
19. I didn’t get this one. What kind of circularization maneuver do you mean?
