  1. Just to show it off, here is my SSTO Interstellar Ship (it needs a boost from ground reactors because of no antimatter). It can reach any planet, and come back, have not landed it yet. It is more stable and easier to launch than most of mine somehow and has a crew capacity of 34 with a full compliment of station science experiments, KSP ones, and the things to do them. 1107 tons with 160 tons of fuel (nitrogen), that has about 80% left after launch thanks to the radial atmosphere scoops.
  2. You can see it on their control panel, but I agree. Thermal Generators are VERY heavy. They have spinning turbines and heat transfer plates and coolants, and they just would weigh a metric .... ton. If anything I think they are lighter than they should be. Dont worry, this is going away.... As soon you will NOT be able to use it in the atmosphere. They will not start on electric charge. In order to get them to start you need another energy source, let it build up and have enough spare power in megajoules for one complete cycle. You can use a kerbal to jump start them somehow supposedly now.
  3. That was my first thought, but it did not use to be like that and unlike other experiments when done in the same biome it says it is going to give science.
  4. Something went a little wrong with AI Cores, When they send science data back, it says you transmit X data but you receive 0 science. (I will investigate later if this is a display bug or you actually get no science.) * It is not every time, It seems like you are allowed to send it once. Still investigating.
  5. @FreeThinker : Earlier you were talking about antimatter and magnetic field strength. It is my understanding the field strength is important, but equally important is the velocity of the magnetic field lines. This means a planet rotating 5X as fast would have (if my understanding is correct) 5x the generated antimatter for the same field strength. Also (If once again I am understanding it correctly) small black holes rotating very fast (Their smaller size when they collapse is like pulling your arms in on a merry-go-round which gives them extreme rotation speeds) have piles of antimatter in their magnetic fields because of the speed they spin at.
  6. The vista is being worked on, perhaps this is a bug from that editing. I would recommend trying out the plasma engines or the arcjets. Either one are good enough to go almost anywhere and back in the system. 2x so if you have microwave power plants and are beaming it to them. - - - Updated - - - This is a bug with the thermal side using the charged particles as heat. I agree it is odd. Perhaps there should be a dont use charged particles option on the thermal generator. This however means if you need heat ANYWHERE in your spacecraft, you can just use charged particles instead since they are a global resource.

  10. See I don't think that is exactly how it would work.. There actually was discussion of this a while ago, and while it would all convert from what I understand the heat would force the molecules in the atmosphere to be diffuse enough at the center to slow it down.... however the only thing I really see about this is this. https://what-if.xkcd.com/114/
  11. The reaction would probably fizzle, the heat would probably prevent the matter from reacting with the antimatter at full speed, and it would be more of an atomic fire than an actual good explosion. It would all convert to energy but it would be over a period of time and not instantly.
  12. A power limit might be realistic, but probably not very fun. Something that would be realistic and probably add to the experience though is if generators were based on kerbin, they lost 50% of their energy by the time it made it out to space and hit the first relays. It would add some depth trying to get massive reactors into space to try and get around that or add to the cost of launch systems.

  15. I am using these mods... However I am becoming more certain I have this nailed down to tweakscale when I adjust the size of the panels. As long as I do not tweak their sizes they so far ALWAYS work... When I tweak them, sometimes they do not, but sometimes they do. print screen - - - Updated - - - Ship with panels 100% Same exact ship, panels tweaked to 150% Same exact ship, tweaked back down to 100% it works again with a good radiator area.
  16. There is one minor niggle still cropping up, and I really wish I could reproduce this every time but I can not. It is that darn radiators not dissipating heat thing.   18. I am pleased to report that everything that seemed to be wrong in .15 now works again in .16 Including changing sizes with tweakscale.

I have to get to bed, I hope I have been helpful somehow. - - - Updated - - - These problems did not happen in 1.1.14 I deleted the directories that this plugin affects and copied it in and that's when these troubles started. Edit the parts with tweakscale in your tests, I think that somehow it is affecting this mod as removing it caused everything except the receiver to work in 1.1.15
  20. Here is the effect with a clean install. I still do not have the microwave receiver. This is done with reactors since my generators are not in this save but you can see weirdness, this is after running for about a min. * There are no other radiators on this ship other than the ones visible. Total power with the 2 reactors is roughly 50GW. *The ONLY mod installed with this is tweakscale. * I removed tweakscale.... And everything works perfect when I build a new ship, the old one still has the bugs.... Maybe it has something to do with tweak scale, or maybe it has something to do with the reactors producing 20x the power.

  22. I am having a new interesting problem with my radiators, their heat disipation appears to be about 1/10th of 1% of what they use to be. This use to dissipate about .25 Terrawatts of heat that was produced. * Also, for some reason the microwave receiver is gone, and caused a lot of my vehicles to be locked. (I backed up all my saves before upgrading after bringing my kerbals back home and cleared most of the things but just saying)
  23. That is interesting... So it is the interaction between that and one of the other ones and KSPI... LOL Wonder what one finishes the triangle. - - - Updated - - - The problem I believe may be you are using the radial radiators, try a large flat radiator and see if that one works.
  24. I am fairly certain the Final Frontier mod does not play well with KSPI-E. When I had it, I had very erratic performance of reactors, and when I would focus on a vehicle that had a reactor or radiators except during launch the game would go dark (Not black but like kerbol was extinguished and you could only see the stars) and the vehicle would not work. You can perform a deep field survey at less than 1 AU and get science, but deploy does nothing.
