I guess so. Single stage orbit to me means have fixed engine and take it into orbit. Whatever you do with the parts after that is not a concern.

WE REGRET TO INFORM YOU Val is on her way back to Wilkin who is waiting at his her MiG 21 to take her home. Although she failed the mission she managed to climb her damaged buggy almost to the top. No shame in that, great job Val ! We will now wait on Jeb's return from Minmus. He has gathered enough science points to create a better rover. TBC

Right now my funds are 326.086 science 151.6. Jeb is on his way back from Minmus with 2 tourists and tons of science. I need 550 science points to get the TR-2L wheels so I can build a improved buggy. It will take him 5 days to get back so I've given Val a deadline: Reach the first survey point within 5 days or return to base. She's under a lot off stress now, wonder if she will make it.

So I thaught I could make a quick buck by mining ore and recover it... Turns out 300 ore = 6 funds. Now that's not fair is it ? ? ?

OMK ! Val rolled over during a steep climb (she was so close) and slided down the mountain. The buggy miraculuslellely survived, but the set back is not very motivating. Maybe I should think about sending plane/VTOL... EDIT : Our current position: This is madness...

I'd love a blimp, but right now it's all vanilla for me. I wish I had the skill to drop a rover by parachute, my aiming is not that good. To be honest I have the skill to make a small plane and land it on this mountain, but where is th fun in that ? Yep Planning a new route, this should be possible, I hope...

O dear.... I estimated the location wrong... Val had to "crawl" out of the pit and now it seems we need to do some more climbing...I love this game *kuch. "go away mountain, you're blocking my sun !"

I saw this video on YT where a guy started a career in 1.4 He flew up into space and wanted to EVA for trying his parachute. Lucky for Jeb you can't EVA yet when you start a career. Not knowing he just saved Jeb's life cause he also did not have a parachute at level 0...

Day 3 on the mountain. We've almost reached our first survey point. It took Val 8(!) days to get here. The buggy has only half of it's power left due to damage so Val must recharge every +100 meters... Val wants to leave the buggy and sky dive from the mountain when she is done... What do you think ? Should she do it ?

While Val is waiting for sunrise in her bashed buggy ( crashed 2 batteries and some solar panels)... Jeb is allready back on the job, getting 2 tourists to Minmus. I like the view with Kerbin and the Mun in one shot.

Val just climbed the first stage of the mountain, when you look at this angle it seems impossible, but we zig-zaged to the top. This picture shows the last bit of the climb. Val did roll over a couple of times but we did manage our damage. I hate this mountain... Dakar 2019 X= current position TBC

So yesterday Val flew a buggy to a mountain area for a surface survey contract... Today she drove a few miles up the mountain until the sun went down. She is now stuck over night and will continue her trip tomorrow... X = Val's current location X = Estimated location of the survey In the mean while Jeb got his MiG back and we are now planning on taking out the science instruments and replace it with a seat so Jeb can get Val back home after her mission. So I took this surface survey contract, when I got there it seemed that I have to climb a mountain. So now I'm sending in this buggy to get it done. Wish me luck.
