The "You know you're playing a lot of KSP when..." thread
Fred Cop replied to Phenom Anon X's topic in KSP1 Discussion
...you have more than two satellites orbiting every planet and it's moon(s). -
Re-enter Kerbin by aiming directly towards it (and possibly surviving, this is preferably where lag becomes the most life-saving problem)

I recently landed my 'Sun bathing' module from orbit, left to go to the toilet whilst it was parachuting down and I returned to see the seats were still intact. So now my Kerbals can stargaze;

The problem is attempting to replace the application image, there is no preferences button, but rather a 'Get Info' button, which gives info on file sizes, who has access to the files, etc, with the closest thing to the application image being a, quote-on-quote, 'preview'.

Too bad this is harder, if not next to impossible, to do on a Mac.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand, crashed against the target Astroid.

Just slap a warning sticker across Jeb's forehead, stick him in your test rocket, and you'll get more science than going to the Mün and back. I think I've got the head size (and hair) fixed; Come to think of it, the head scale (and hair) error come from the fact I was making the design without using a reference image. Now I know the consequences (which sounds more dramatic than it actually is), I can avoid such problem(s) with future developments.

Like this?; Or should I try 2x? (I apologise, I'm no artist when it comes to drawing kerbals)

I've seen people say about making a LEGO KSP set based on a Craft/Rocket design, but what I don't see alot of is people designing LEGO Kerbals to occupy their ships. I've seen at least, I guess... ...two in my time of this fourm, which makes seeing such thing a rarity. So I thought about making my own version, and I've made up a quick drawing; For those thinking how ridiculous the head piece is, its loosely based on the head molds for the LEGO Simpsons theme, where the heads are molded in the shape of the character's head, rather than just a default LEGO head piece with a special print or hair piece. The face mold bit in the upper right corner is kinda also about this, regarding if the mouths/expressions should be printed or molded. Personally, I think a printed version would be okay, but if anyone thinks otherwise I won't fight against your opinion. I'm not sure about making two versions of the RCS Pack; one packed away (RCS off) and one with the controls out (RCS on), it may not be a good idea, since the plastic bar that represents the arm for the controls might be too thin and easy to break off, but again its an idea, we'll just have to see. In the random event anyone thinks so; I am not making this in real life. This is just an idea, and I can't confirm it will become a reality. I could, of course, try posting the final version(s) onto LEGO Ideas, a site where people submit LEGO set ideas which could, if supported enough, become a reality, but since they won't accept custom or new molds, it'd take a miracle for them to produce it officially. The Leg and Face mold sections are things I couldn't decide on, and have hence left for people to choose if they wish to. If you wish to not decide, Constructive Criticism as well as Positive/Negative comments or suggestions are welcome. I will try my best to do more in future, such as design the prints for torsos, RCS Packs, etc as well as maybe make Female Kerbal designs, but for now, I await feedback. --Fred Cop--

Would you buy a DLC (or a whole new game) for KSP that was for realism?
Fred Cop replied to Ristse's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Why get DLC to make KSP realistic when theres a realistic visuals modification for KSP currently available for free? -
I'm surprised nobody thought up this;

I've been noticing people have been making Kerbal Space Program based comics like, for example: 'Eve, Ore Bust', and I went ahead and made my own, based on a well known KSP Easter Egg; I made these by taking screenshots whilst in game, saved each screenshot into a new folder using Photoshop and make the comic itself in an app named 'Comic Life Magiq'. If you like these, want to ask for more or have any constructive criticism (positive and/or negative) to give me, please let me know, your input is valuable. --Fred Cop--

Speedrunning Kerbal Space Program
Fred Cop replied to Whirligig Girl's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
How about one where you have to get to the Mun in career mode as fast as possible? I'm sorry, but your "easy" one is too hard, do you seriously expect people to get to orbit, land on the Mun, land on Minimus, land on Ike/Gilly and return them all in less than an hour? I'm sorry, but that'll be incredibly boring to watch, even a continuous video with rocket crashes will be boringly predictable. -
Can you get an iPad to calculate the physics of multiple objects on one object whilst simulating areo-forces and re-entry effects, and drawing orbits in the map view, drawing high quality planets like Kerbin and others, whilst calculating and presenting velocity and height values and rendering screaming kerbals? Ah-hah, I don't think so.

What is the avatar of the person above you saying/thinking?
Fred Cop replied to Gojira's topic in Forum Games!
Who's my next victim to follow? -
"Inspired" by Robbaz's Master Cube series, I designed a cube that could survive the trip through a planet's atmosphere and, most importantly, land; Stage 04; coming into Kerbin's atmosphere Stage 03; Square panels removed Stage 02; Heat Shields detached Stage 01; Parachute deployment And finally... ...Landed! This is a drone, how ever, so should I make a Kerbal version?

How does KSP work on Mac with mods?
Fred Cop replied to davidy12's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
It can sometimes crash, but that depends on either A. The amount of mods installed and B. the mods overall. Mods like Dark Multiplayer sometimes crash me, everything else seems fine... ...although I'm not sure if its the same thing on a laptop... -
Suddenly, the landing operation went downhill...

Awesome use of the tool!
