The v1.2 Hype Train Thread - Prerelease is Out
Fred Cop replied to Whirligig Girl's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Just tried out the latest version of KSP's 1.2 prerelease and, well, I discovered that...; - Kerbals can pass out when enduring too much G-force (this is easily noticable when deploying the 10m expandable Heatshield during re-entry) - Deploying Landing gear makes sounds (admittedly, it shocked me for the first time) - There is a 0.625 HEATSHIELD, YES!- 1,592 replies

According to SQUAD's KSP Twitter feed, their latest stream had "a surprise". Did anyone see the Dev stream a while ago?- 1,592 replies

The v1.2 Hype Train Thread - Prerelease is Out
Fred Cop replied to Whirligig Girl's topic in KSP1 Discussion
A fun little feature for Cinematic KSP video creators; there is an 'Aim Camera' option. To enable it, go to Settings and enable "Advanced Tweakables" (for those wondering, this option gives you control over fuel flow). Now, when you are flying a plane or rocket you can right-click a part, select 'Aim Camera' and the selected part becomes the center point for the camera (a lot like how the Center Of Mass is the camera's center point). So if you go on EVA, then select 'Aim Camera' on a craft... You can walk and Jetpack around without the camera aimed at you, allowing you to create some interesting pictures or video footage! (Just make sure you don't fly out of the camera's range, and lose your Kerbal forever)- 1,592 replies

The v1.2 Hype Train Thread - Prerelease is Out

Okay, I know I've said that I hated the idea of these new engine parts... ...but now that I've tried them out... ...and Holy Kraken they look AWESOME! Also I love the idea of different variants of rocket engines; versions which are "standard", "shielded" and "barebones" (I don't know the actual terms, but that is what I'd call them).- 1,592 replies

I know it hasn't been proven or stated as true, but if the Ground stations were named after each SQUAD member who left the team, I'd be over the Moon.- 1,592 replies

...but does it take in satellite signals? Or is it just a prop? Either way, it makes Kerbin seem like less of a wasteland, especially if there are several of these on the planet.- 1,592 replies

Unless this is about the SAS Kerbal Auto-orientation, I'm really curious about these "changes".- 1,592 replies

Goodbye lad, I wish you the best of luck out there. Hopefully someday, you'll come across these fourms again, someday.

Rocket Part Revamp Discussion Thread
Fred Cop replied to Whirligig Girl's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Let me put down my two, simple, not-starting-arguements pennys to this revamp; No. Nononono... Just, no thanks. -
Just noticed that the mod works in 1.1.3. Thank you ever so much!

Bob was sick of travelling to and from the Space Center everyday, so today he decided to move closer to his place of work; (...but in all seriousness, I have no idea why I made this.)

We've already got people who forget to set up their staging correctly, we've got people who leave Monoprop in their pods when they actually don't need it (which becomes a bit of an issue in Career Mode), we've got people who still have trouble designing rockets or planes... ...I don't think I'd like to struggle with Life Support, and if I did mess up then my Kerbals would die... ...a LOT of Kerbals.

Anfrid Kerman (Male) and Berchell Kerman (Female). They aren't exactly funny, but they are rather odd to me.

Don't stuff the Magic Boulder(s) into the Mohole. Not only are there not enough to fill it, but the physics simu-- err... ...I mean the excessive radiation leaks will either cause a Magic Boulder erruption or melt-down your computer.

KSP has unrealistic/distorted 3D rendering

*Never mind, someone already mentioned 'Alt + Scrollwheel'* -
You know what the developers should also bring back in a future update? Killed In Action screens. We know they are still in the game, as can be seen when an IVA glitches out, so it'd be nice to see it come back for the people who played KSP in it's early days.

Kerbal Space Program patch 1.1.3 is now available!
Fred Cop commented on KasperVld's article in Developer Articles
Lovely to hear you have made Felipe a randomly generated Kerbal. -
An animator and writer left Valve in the past four months and no one panicked that Valve was shutting down. I know squad is generally smaller, but I don't see any reason to panic over the loss of two members who both want to work on other projects for a change. Sure, they've made a pretty big impact on the game, but there is more than half the development team still working on KSP, so unless everyone at Squad suddenly wanted to do something other than Kerbal Space Program there is no need to fear.

One sentence you could say to annoy an entire fan base?
Fred Cop replied to Fr8monkey's topic in Forum Games!
"Dres is Uranus". You might need to think carefully about this one to understand it, which gives me plenty of time to pack my things and get on the next plane to Italy. -
My rocket naming scheme isn't really complex, I just choose a word that seems fitting and slap 'Mk.l' on it. If I modify the craft, I change 'Mk.l' to 'Mk.ll' and so on. Here are a few examples I've used before; Resource Satellite: "Horizon - Mk.l" Jet plane: "Sparrow - Mk.l" Third edition of a Science-based Rocket: "Understanding Intelligience - Mk.lll" Seventh edition of Payload rocket: "Simpleton - Mk.Vll"

I like how not a lot of people seem to be reading all the posts in the topic, since we are getting a lot of people saying the same ideas without acknowledging the person who first suggested it. (Fake) example; ...several posts later...

How about putting a monument of him near, or in, the Inland Space Center? I mean, it'd make sense (for a personal stand-point) for putting it nearby the original KSC buildings, marking the creation and older versions of Kerbal Space Program when the buildings were in use. It doesn't sound as amazing as putting it on the highest mountain or something like that, but I feel it'd make the most sense (in terms of placement).
