For years, Kerbin has been a planet which most important endeavor was walking down the street. However, that changed a few years ago. The War of the World shook the planet apart. It used to be just a single government, with everyone just happy and living. However, there was a buildup of weapons in Korupe, specifically Kermany. One of the greatest weapons of this time was the K-2, or Kerbal 2. The K-1 was just a bomb with wings and an SRB. The designer of this weapon, Wherner von Kerman, decided that the weapon was too powerful for a nation to use against another. So he fled to the United Kerbal Union or UKU. The Koviet Union, or KU, was hot on their trails by this time. The Koviets picked up a few engineers and then left. The Koviets gave the Kerbnese a few engineers. The Kanadian's looked like they wanted to go into space. It look like a world space race was about to start. Every country built rockets and probes to explore space. And finally, one nation launched the first one… UKN Mission Control 30 days earlier “They did it†“What did they do, Bill?†Jebidiah said from his desk. “It’s the Koviets… They crossed the Kerman line†Bill replied “How did they manage that? I thought we got all of the K-2 scientists.†“We have no idea sir, but we did get a picture.†Bill pulled out a picture and pushed it across Jeb’s desk. “How little is that thing?†Jeb asked after looking the picture over “We estimate about 0.375 meters†Was bill’s simple reply “Ha!! Our probe bodies are bigger than that!! We shouldn’t worry about a roman candle.†“I’m not so sure sir… “ Bill replied “What do you mean?†“With very few upgrades, they could get into orbit.†“Impossible. There is no way they could beat us up there. Wherner is already building the probe!! Let’s just kick back and relax until the probe is ready. Maybe I’ll fly my jet down to the south beach…†Famous last words Bill thought to himself while leaving the office. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Koviet Union Kosmodrome 30 days later “Launch Team poll†“S-1†“Go†“S-2†“Probe†“Go†“LD†“This is the launch director, you have permission to launch†“T-2 minutes†Valentin Kerman turned off his radio. He took a deep breath and the looked out at the Horizon 1. If I screw this up, I’ve failed my country, and my career goes out the window “T-1 minute†Good thing those Kerbican’s didn’t get up there first. In fact, the entire world was supprised the Kerbican’s didn’t have a satellite up yet. “T-10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4 Main engine start 3, 2, 1, 0†Liftoff “Lift off!! Lift off of the Horizon 1 probe, the first satellite to orbit Kerbin†I can’t believe this old ICBM is working Valentin thought silently. “First stage cut-off and sep†“S-2 ignition!†Several minutes later, the probe entered Kerbin Orbit. “Flight, we have a achieved a 258 km apoapsis and 116 periapsis†“Congrats team, you have put up the world’s first satellite†-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think I might make a story in the fan works about this, is that okay with you guys?

Question Red crown: If we create an "international" mission/Kennedy moment, can we refer to the other players?

Attention people: The engineers for our space program have gotten very bored lately. All of the Seer probes are basically copies of each other. Bob Zhu Kerman came up with the idea for commercial launches. If you want a satellite to fly, pm us a craft file for your probe and we'll send it up.

I feel like we should fill up the countries, than just go into made up space agency's. And I prefer world space race's, they look the coolest
