Flrubtur, wouldn't this be less tedious if we could do the se route required for a water Elcano on Kerbin? That would make a little sense, and while your have to cross land at least once, it gives the ability to refuel on said land

I think WH40krules's entry should be DQed. He used FAR, which really would allow anyone to go faster than using stock aero

Here's a generic rule-of-thumb for acsents: Pitch according to engine thrust. If thrust is declining below "speed run" altitude, pitch down. Pitch up if you're confident the engines thrust will still increase.
