  1. I use Mechjeb now, but made sure I figured out how to do it on my own. Outside of actual docking, rendezvous is the toughest thing to learn. You really need to think 4 dimensionally to make it work right. Quick save will be your very best friend in the world while you figure it out.
  2. When I'm closing in on my target, assuming I'm travelling faster, I'll point retrograde and burn until the difference in speed between my target and I drops to 0. Make sure to use the target function on the navball. If it says orbit, click on it until it says target. You need a target selected, of course. If your target is catching you, you burn prograde instead. Once down to 0, use the target indicator on the navball. Burn towards it at a slow rate. Then burn retro as you get closer. You can get right up close using this method. The key is to make sure you have target relative speed selected.
  3. Time Warp is cheating! Fly those missions real time or don't fly them at all!
  4. They put a treadmill called C.O.L.B.E.R.T. on the ISS. Throwing a Kerbal somewhere is easier.
  5. Warner Bros. already flagged you, at least here in the US.

  7. I was born 15 minutes before Apollo 11 left the pad. Since I was a little kid I was into space and anything that had to do with it. I have used Orbiter since its earliest inceptions, and like Cairol a few posts back, was heavy into Space Engineers and saw the same references to KSP. I had seen glimpses of it for a while, but always thought it looked too cartoony and wouldn't hold my interest. I got the demo from Steam, and bought it after about 10 minutes of playing. This was about 6 weeks ago. Now I see it's like Dr. Schweiger and Keen Software had a baby, with the physics challenges of Orbiter and the ease of making your own ships like Space Engineers. I'll end up logging my 400th hour some time this weekend. As for the 'cartoony' feel, my 4 year old loves it and wants to help build rockets and see 'his' Kerbals. Very early on in my experience, we were playing when he waved and said 'Hi' to Jebediah's iso-cam view, and as if on cue, Jeb moved his arm and it looked like he was waving back. I'm having as much fun with this game as I have ever had with a game.
  8. When your Kerbal sized 4 year old son does something crazy and stupid, instead of yelling at him, you call him Jebediah.
  9. Have recently started getting this error. It happens in 32 or 64 bit Windows. Most recent error log here To cause the error, I reverted a flight to launch pad, then went to space center. After clicking 'Understood', the game became unplayable. I had to exit out with alt-F4.
  10. The Mun used to have a highly elliptical orbit until one day Jeb told it to stand still.
