Where, where?!
-
That seems to make the most sense.

S2 has been firing its maneuvering thrusters. It should be past apogee by now if it's on a 6-hour orbit.

Elon said during the press conference that Starman is not scienced up. He said it's definitely a functioning pressure suit, though. I think that means you really shouldn't be hanging out in the Van Allen belts in that suit in a sports car, but that if your actual ship with radiation and thermal shielding depressurizes you should be ok for a little while.

I watched Falcon Heavy launch, and have been too hyped to work on the 9-page essay that's due Friday. -
I tried watching both boosters with my eyes crossed to see the landing in 3D, but it didn't seem to be much different.
-
Sun on Starman feed looks just like old KSP sun.

Announcer + crowd weren't particularly rhythmic during terminal count... But that's ok, a lot of the camera switches line up easily with the music. Polishing up the Max-Q theme, getting it to the right length, then it'll be on to the key change at booster sep!
-
Yeah, looks like center core took a dip. But that wasn't entirely unexpected, as this is a test of a new vehicle. Overall, I think they've got a lot of good data!
-
Ok, I'm tuning out of this thread to watch the spectacle.
-
Awesome!
-
Not bad considering over 1M other people.
-
Come on, teapot, teapot, teapot... No teapot mentioned. Darn.

"Payloads" !!!

I lucked out and it's a work day! Watching liiive!
-
I am staying at school during the launch and getting a ride home afterwards. The only issue is catching the pre-launch webcast, which starts during class.
-
Damn, that's right when school ends and I have to get to the bus...looks like I'll be watching on my phone rather than my laptop...I might just slip out a minute early to get a head start towards my jacket and bus.
-
Delayed now to 2:50 EST...now that's in skipping class territory for me...
-
Which is why it needs to be as reliable as an airliner.
-
Hopefully this is the last delay this mission will experience.

https://spaceflightnow.com/2018/02/05/falcon-heavy-demo-flight-mission-status-center/ Apparently they are going to wait for calmer upper level winds. I'm still going to be able to watch, but it will be in class rather than at lunch.

I want a tracker for this thing. Is it going to get over 40°?
-
Last night I dreamt that the launch had been scrubbed for the day due to some pesky fire or something. I'm quite glad to be reading this thread and seeing it's still go at breakfast-time. Going to watch on my laptop at school, this deserves a bigger screen than my phone. Packing my launch for the day!
-
Better get a bigger screen shipped by drone from Amazon in 12 hours just to be sure...
