Yeah, no kidding! There are many bugs with 1.1.2. But even with those, 1.1.2 is infinitely better than 1.0.5. -

So I just recently got BD Armory on my computer, and I love it (I have 1.1.2 and I know that BD Armory isn’t compatible yet) but there seems to be a problem. I’ll be doing a battle with one of my tanks or AA batteries and the game will slow waaaaaaayyy down, which normally, I can cope with (I launched many rockets with several thousand parts regularly with 1.0.5 on a laptop, so I’m used to that) but then the game stops responding to my keyboard at all. The mouse still works, and can fire the guns, switch weapons, etc., but only at 1 fps or so. Also at this point, my computer is so hot that it hurts to touch it. I think that may be my computer, but after I force-quit KSP, it cools right down. Is this because BD Armory isn’t yet compatible, or something else? Does anyone else have this problem? If it is the mod, can I fix it, and if so, how? Oh, I also have Kerbal Engineer Redux.

@Jaffa Cookie Yes, I have found that over about 1-1.5 hrs, KSP slows to a crawl, then crashes, then my computer overheats, slows to a crawl (e.g. The mac spinning wheel of death is frozen), then crashes as well. I thought this might just be my computer, but your post and those of others seem to imply that BD Armory is the culprit. Hope I’m not just stating the obvious, but whatever the problem is seems to involve heavy processor load. Maybe that can narrow the search a bit? -

I'm running BD on KSP 1.1.2, and I'm getting a really weird bug that no one else seems to have. If I have weapons on a plane, it will work and fly fine for a little bit, but after a few minutes, the camera switches focus to a phantom plane about a hundred meters away. I'm still controlling the real plane, but the roll gets messed up and it's just annoying. Could be me doing something wrong, and if so PLEASE tell me what it is. However, I think it's the mod, as normal planes show no such behavior. -

One cool thing I found is that if you learn the ASCII code KSP is written in, you can modify the actual parts to be more efficient/powerful, or (more challenging and therefore fun ) less efficient/powerful. I don’t know if this has been discussed at all, but I think it’s an interesting idea. Just make sure not to lose the original part tho.

I like them… for small scale satellites/probes only. They have amazing efficiency at extremely low power. This is a pro/con in and of itself. If you want to use them for any thing larger than about (I think) 10 tons, you have to use prodigious quantities of them, mitigating their efficiency. I think tis is about as far as pros/cons go, honestly. Please feel free to correct me if this post is inaccurate or insufficient.

Hi guys, sorry for the sporadic posts, but I’ve recently finished my 4th Mun landing, with a minor refueling station in LKO, and would like to start a Mun base, but have no idea how to do this. Can you guys help me with a few tips? *Also, how do I get an inter-planetary encounter? Nothing I try seems to work.

Hi. I am new and I was in the middle of building a rocket using 2.5 m body, when suddenly, I was unable to actually edit the rocket. The parts/action groups/crew tabs are greyed out and the only buttons I can click on are the new/load/save/launch/exit buttons. It appears to be some sort of mode. How do I get rid of it? Restarting the game did no good, and neither did exiting and reentering the VAB. Also, how did I get into it in the first place?

That’s funny, since I actually ended up way over-estimating both the amount of LF/O and RCS fuel and had to eject a tank that had a lot of fuel left.

I’m on OS X, so I’ll try the command key…. The alt/option key works, but the command key doesn’t I also have a question, but can’t figure out how to ask a question on the tech support forums (I feel like a dunce), so can I ask it here?

Why does the 3.5 m decoupler cause a crash? Also, what are the ‘certain parts’ for future reference? -
I’m so happy! I just achieved my first successful orbital rendezvous and docking! No one was hurt, but it took me almost a whole orbit thanks to an SAS failure in the other ship. That’s so hard, I can’t wait to do it again! Now to figure out how to refuel….

I was wondering if you had to use Ions for the liftoff from KSC? I’m launching a rocket to go to the mun with normal take off, but switches to use 20 Ions for the interplanetary stage. Is that legal?

I make rockets too ridiculously big. On this one, the orbital stage has 20 ions with 7290 units of Xenon for each, requiring 8 Gigantors and 28701 units of ElectricCharge. How would I make smaller rockets with the same range?

Okay, thanks! I was wondering if you knew two things: 1: How high does Eve’s atmosphere extend, and 2: roughly the best periapsis for an atmospheric capture? Thanks, Mycroft. P.s. My craft is unmanned. It came from a campaign to land on the mun and me missing the transfer burn.

I’m discovering how easy it is to accidentally get a sun orbit, so I’m going to try an interplanetary expedition. Sooooooo, does Eve have an atmosphere?

Mun flyby successful! Unfortunately the resulting encounter with the Mun slung my ship on to an exponentially larger orbit, with an Apoapsis of 14 thousand km, and a Periapsis of 3 thousand. I am doing a continuous de-orbit burn for now
