Mass: 550,095 kg ElectricCharge: 58691 units, MonoPropellant: 5360 units, Ore (capacity): 7200 units, LiquidFuel: 29122/29130, Oxidizer: 23861/23870. Parts: 1226 currently Crew Capacity: 32 (though it currently has a skeleton crew of one while the others gain experience) Propulsion: 8 Nervs, and 1 OPT Dark Drive. Frames per second: 3 Hope you guys approve! (I’ll quit rambling now) EDIT: Oh by the way, this is in my career mode save.
  6. The rock’s file is called the “PotatoRoid”. Don’t ask me why. It is in stock KSP. I have no idea how to find it, though. But Foxter is right. When you’re a noob like me, it feels especially terrible to have your ideas crushed.
  7. I finally got KIS/KAS and promptly launched an OPT spaceplane designed to hold by conservative estimates at least a hundred metric tons of cargo items. Launch mass is upwards of 630 tons. Destination: Jool then Dres with the rest of my fleet. P.S. Is the Kerbal cloaking device an okay mod? I also have the mod ‘EVA Struts’. Is that okay as well? EDIT: Oh and BD Armory (a fun way to destroy debris). Is that fine?
  8. Those struts are waaaayyyy the heck heavier and larger and less efficient to send up. In other words, clunky. Now the rest of the mod is not, but that one part is clunky. This mod I talked about is just like the stock strut, (except it's in the utility tab) and you can place it while on EVA. It is KIS/KAS compatible, actually

  10. @Ultimate Steve Okay so I went to attempt to measure my mothership in the SPH, and it wouldn't fit completely in the building for some odd reason, (I'll explain why it's odd in a second), so I had to add up the lengths of each module. Less accurate, but the best I could do. Approximate length is 81 meters long, but the SPH models were modified for flight, so it's not exact, but it's reasonably close. It's kinda odd that it won't fit in the building (the SPH or the VAB) since theoretically it should fit just barely if you drag the first part to the front/top of the building, it won't let me attach the final piece. Oh well good enough. I thought it was longer. My bad.
  11. LOVE this mod, but how do you hide the Particle effects? It looks a bit weird to have the particle effects with no ship or engine to make them.
  12. If your orbital constructions are too wobbly, I would recommend the "EVA struts" mod. Works like a charm.
  13. Ooohhhhhhh. I checked, and I don't have Module manager installed! I thought I did. [bangs head against wall]. Man I feel so smart. Really sorry for the inconvenience. I'm happy now. It's an awesome idea, this mod. Now I'm gonna go whack myself upside the head.
  14. Uhm. So I downloaded the mod from Spacedock, let it sit for a day or two cause I was working on something in orbit, came back to the SPH, and tried to use it, only to find that the ore tanks (ALL of them) still held only ore. The MPL? Just a lab. The Clampotron Jr? Just a docking port. I only got the UI for Extraplanetary LaunchPads v 5.3.0. I then decided to try a different way of installing it, but that didn’t work either. In the process, I noticed that the version of IFS it used was out dated, so I got rid of the old one and kept the new. Maybe could that be the issue? HELP SOMEBODY! EDIT: I think I’ll just take the original mod
  15. Hmmm. Not exactly sure what ship the Intrepid is, but if you're talking about the monster SSTO in the most recent video, then yeah my mothership is bigger. I'm building it in space, so it's not as many constraints. That is a really impressive stock SSTO, though. I'm not sure I could pull that off in the stock game. I have two SSTOs in orbit now that are a similar size (based on how big it is compared to the runway), but they are far from stock. Meeee likeeee!!
  16. Thanks, it'll take a bit. The 200 meters is an estimate on my part. I am in the process of trying to measure it in the SPH. This will be my biggest mission ever. P. S. I'm a bit nervous that I may have overestimated its size. I hope not. We shall see. Thanks to KER, my job is a lot easier.
  17. I didn't see a time limit. Is there a time limit? Hope not, cause I have a couple in game years to go till the next Kerbin-Dres window. I haven't been able to plot a Jool-Dres window yet. Yay!!! I will! And don't worry, I take plenty of screenshots.
  18. Are OPT Spaceplane Parts, Darkside Technologies, and Simple Construction okay mods? Cause I have a massive 200m long mother ship that can go to Dres, and it when fully equipped will have two mining landers, multiple scanning probes, two normal landers, and two enormous SSTOs as part of its mission (and almost certainly more as I think of it). It has all those mods as integral parts of it. I will send it to Dres from its current destination: Jool.
  19. I had been looking at downloading the Extraplanetary Launch pads for a bit, and I was really reluctant, thanks to how huge it was, and how bad my computer is. But, just a few days ago, I heard of this mod (thanks to KottabosGames) and was instantly sold. LOVE IT! AWESOME IDEA! I can never thank you enough! I will be for sure mentioning this mod to my friends!
  20. I'm not entirely clear on one point: are mods allowed? Edit: This looks like an awesome challenge, especially because I'm launching a Jool mission with two spaceplanes in it. They are made with OPT Spaceplane Parts, tho, so I'd like to see if I can enter. I would also respectfully request a longer time period.

  22. Thanks a bunch for your perspective. I'm sure we could debate this all day (which I would LOVE) but that would likely only annoy the others, so I'll just say this. I always prefer user friendliness over size, and I don't think it's anything like close enough to the size of Alchemy Technologies to have the problems it has. I don't think it's reached the threshold you talked about, though I definitely agree the threshold is there. I did not know that. Could you please tell me how to get my Kerbals on EVA from a craft that has no IVA, because I find that little bug very annoying. I would LOVE to be able to go on EVA from say the L Crew tank without having to dock another ship, transfer the Kerbals, then go EVA. So if you could please please please let me in on the secret I would love you.
