Is it true that most KSP players never go interplanetary?
GKSP replied to KerikBalm's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Hi, its GKSP here. I've had the game for about 9 months(from jan. 2016) and am not always able to play. In the first part of that time, I was just getting used to the game engine, reading up on orbital mechanics, etc. and testing. I got some rockets that could *almost* return from mun, built a space station in lko, and check out the amazing world of spaceplanes. It wasn't until a competition between my friends and I in a school history class that I got truly interplanetary. It was a Duna Exploration competition, which never finished because of, well, school, but It got me a very efficient Duna satellite rocket, practice with phase angles, and frustration at re-routing my friends' probes(which worked!) Since then, I've transferred the ship/probe to my normal save, and have two probes landed on Duna. I also have an asteroid tug on its way.(Im usink Kerbal alarm clock 4 that) In unrelated aerospace news, i built a replica of an airbus a320(i think it was that) Have a great day everyone! -
Once again, that was an excellent chapter. Great job KSK!

I like to build and fly planes from the SPH. I try to challenge myself by flying in IVA mode sometimes. When I do this, I zoom out to see the entire cockpit, view, etc. When I do this though, part of the kerbal's head gets in the way of the camera. I have come up with a solution: Remove the head. (Only for the kerbal that is being 'used,' of course). This would clean up the view making the craft easier to control. I learned this after taking a closer look at the game Halo: Combat Evolved. In it, where you are in the cryo tube, the head got in the camera's way, so the devs removed it for that bit of game. Again, I think a similar solution would make IVA easier to use. Good luck, devs! ;-)

Here is the plane. Is this it? -
Aerodynamics issue with my plane?
GKSP replied to GKSP's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
To everyone: thanks for the info about the symmetry and struts. I did fly with SAS on, and I will get a screenshot up probably in a few hours! Thanks, bewing for finding that strut. The mods I have are: Mechjeb, KAX, BDA, kerbal konstructs, and TakeCommand. No mod parts are on the plane. -
Hi forum members! I have recently made an Airbus A320 for fun, but whenever I take off or use pitch control, my plane always banks gradually left. The craft file is here. Feel free to respond with feedback, comments, or anything regarding this.

GKSP replied to GKSP's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Sorry for the late reply: I have previously found that, but I forgot to mention I was looking for .15 and up.(has old SPH) I do like how the game has evolved. -
What new parts should they add?
GKSP replied to Jeb-head-mug kerman's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Some of my rockets 'sometimes' flip during stage sep, I would like them. (Also, i'm trying to build a stock landable Falcon-9 first stage) -
Hi, im really into using the SPH, and I want to try it out as it was first introduced. If you have bought the game, shouldn't you be able to download older versions, not just newer ones?

SpaceX-Style Booster Landing
GKSP replied to DarkHawkGames's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
For my rocket, I tried to get close to the actual design. I had 9 main engines(accidentally used all on descent, while Falcon9 relit 3) and I used airbrakes. -
SpaceX-Style Booster Landing
GKSP replied to DarkHawkGames's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
I did it a few weeks ago- I designed a first stage booster, figured out how much Δ -V I needed, and checked how much fuel it would take with MJ(Did not use it for landing, though) My first attempt resulted in a failed splashdown, second perfect on land, and third(when I bothered showing people) tipped over! It worked though! I might put up some screenshots later. What made it possible, you ask? REACTION WHEELS! -

Revert flight, flight results not working

I've tried to use the "Insert other media" button to insert the log, but it says the action is not available for my account. What do I have to do? -
Revert flight, flight results not working

Thanks. I'll Look when I an and tell you -
Jeb is in the astronaut complex, chillin' Valentina, on the otherhand, is halfway between kerbin and the mun with another kerbal in a munbase that warped past the mun periapsis...

Hello. When I'm playing KSP and want to click revert flight, the revert menu choices do not appear. The menu box does, and when I press ESC to unpause, nothing happens. This also happens happens when I crash, and the flight results screen pops up, but with no content. The only way to exit the game is to press Alt-F4. I'm running 1.0.5 on windows with the mods: Trajectories, KAX, Kerbinside, MechJeb, and BDArmory. Any help or reason would be nice! Reproduction: Launch a vessel. Either try to revert or crash it anywhere.

Hi, everyone! This is my first post on this thread, but I have to say I still have to read page 24+. As of that point, great job KSK with mixing rocket science with culture.
