  2. No I haven't. This is my first test with this. I wanted to use the vector at first because I didn't have fins when I built it, so the vectoring would have been useful, and is, though to a lesser extent. Thanks for the advice. PS This is in Sandbox Mode, so cost doesn't matter.
  3. This is a mobile launch pad that can deliver a .455t satellite into a 100km orbit. I know that a lot of you can do better, but I'm really proud of this one. Since imgur images don't work anymore here is the link. http://imgur.com/a/ASPez The launchpad base, which is just 3 big structural plates stuck together in a line with solar panels and a battery (And perhaps some wheels) is theoretically drivable forever. KerbalX: https://kerbalx.com/Beechnutkjr/Mobile-Launch-Platform The specs are as follows: Height: 12m Width: 4m Length: 6m Weight: 14.674t Parts: 39 The vector is a little OP for this size of payload. I have had to use thrust limiter and gimbal limiter. Will test with Swivel soon.
  4. And it is 4K, so it fits my monitor! Thanks a lot!!!! You just made my new wallpaper
  5. Ok, so do that. Or have new probe cores that are higher up on the tech tree that are able to tell when there is enough power to deploy/retract antennas without player input or something. Like I said, just a suggestion.
  6. A recommendation- One if my com. satellites has big antennas that are turned on. I did not think I needed very many solar panels, so I did not put enough to sustain the five big dishes. I turned them all on, so I can not control the satellite because I do not have enough power. Maybe have the dishes turn off once the power runs out, then not turn back on unless you change the settings in the RT menu.
  7. I am sorry if this has already been asked, but I did not see it in the replies. Any plans for 1.1.2 compatibility? This is essential to my modpack, since I am using remotetech. Any news would be welcome. Thanks!!
  8. I have tried the mission ideas thread, but most are Scott Manley level challenges. Career Mode was too hard for me though, but I have progressed to the 160-300 science level of the tech tree in the Science Mode. Managing the funds are hard, as I try to make huge rockets at the beginning and waste a lot of fuel and parts. Thanks for all of your suggestions, though, I will continue to play through the Science Mode, and I will eventually get to a level where I can manage the tech tree *and* funds. Also, do you have any tips for SSTOs? Should I use a rocket engine and a jet engine, or should I sue the hybrid one (I can't think of the name of the top of my head). Is there anything else that I could use to expand my giant collection of SSTTGs (Single stage to the ground) into a giant collection of actual SSTOs? Anything would be welcome, as mine can barely get of the ground.
  9. I have manually gotten small probes into orbit around Duna, Eve, Ike, Jool, and Lathye, along with the mun. I have landed on all of the ones listed above except for laythe. I have a 4-module space station in 120km orbit around kerbin, but for rendezvous and docking I used mechjeb.
  10. GET MECHJEBBBBB. It will help you so much in getting to orbit in your early days, and is one of the easiest to use autopilot mods out there. It is also fairly easy to wean yourself off of once you get the hang of the game.
  11. Hey all. I am not that new to KSP, but I am pretty new to the KSP community, and would like some medium difficulty mission ideas and anything else you think would be good for me to know.
  12. I would work on getting more mods in there. I like the site, and I'm a member, but I can't use the site because there is nothing besides Tantares Fairing and Kerbalside. Besides that though, very nicely done.
  13. The biggest thing for me was the maneuver node flickering fix. I haven't tried it yet, but looking at the changelog, this is the most important one for me.
