  1. Oof, that was waaaaay more work (and time) than I expected. I need to get a life sometime. To sum it up in four pictures: 2 of the 3 exploration planes. They have cool lights, and enough fuel to circumnavigate Kerbin. Fully fueled, they work as submarines. All three are currently parked next to the Laythe Base. The Klaw rover - designed to connect the planes to the base so they can be refueled. I got it to Laythe in a capsule style fairing/heat shied. Shown here are the wings that I was supposed to detach, but I left them on. Part of me wonders if I can attach this to one of the SSTO's and drop it again, just for lols. Extremely low Joolian orbiter - orbiting in a polar orbit. Can be used as a probe in emergencies, has 10km/s of Delta Vee. The lowest point of the orbit is two meters above the atmosphere. Also Known as the Revenge of the Noodle (Because the lifter was a single super tall 1.25m stack). And the biggie - Laythe Station Brotoro. Named in honor of @Brotoro *Stops typing to watch Soyuz launch* Where was I? Oh, yes! @Brotoro, the man behind the infamous "Long term on Laythe" mission report! The station boasts more solar panels than anyone could ever need, more docking ports than anyone could ever need, and two large fuselages of Liquid fuel, and two large tanks of LFO, as well as a heavy duty space tug. Also, I HyperEdited in my Battlecruiser, SSTO's, and Vall Base that I had launched previously. Someone must have grabbed the wrong save at some point. Speaking of that, the new save is up, the one marked 4/20/17 BABYLON (Ultimate Steve). BTW I am never launching anything as big as that station again for a long time.
  2. Hello, my rocket launch watching friend! @RedKraken?
  3. This one I won't be able to see. I am a high schooler like @qzgy and this launch is already borderline for me. I wish I could see it, though!
  4. I should sleep, but, ehh. I already stay up until 2:00 reading sometimes...
  5. -SpaceFlightNow ^^^That's the livestream. Enjoy the launch! (I really do a lot of these last minute launch threads.)
  6. I have the save now. I will launch Brotoro station to Laythe, two exploration planes, and also a surprise. EDIT: Actually, sending Brotoro Station, three exploration planes, a klaw tug, and maybe a surprise. Another edit: Saving surprise for later, don't have time. Instead sending Low Jool Orbit probe. Edit 3: The transfer burn for the Brotoro will take a whole hour. At 6fps. And it collapses under physics warp. And I just accidentally burnt out of the SOI early, meaning I'll need a huge correction burn down the line. Luckily, I have an excuse to stay up tonight: The Soyuz launch! Edit 4: Three planes are landed, polar sat is on its way, and station/tug car are still in transit. But Someone previously grabbed the wrong save and my Battleship, SSTO's, and Vall base are missing. As soon as I am done with my transfers, I will put them back. (Via HE, I already piloted them once, and it's not my fault they're gone.)
  7. "Where in the world is the Earth?" -Me, coding a game, but iirc I put the co-ordinates for Earth backwards (or out of render distance).
  8. @The Raging Sandwich Gotta love Mondays! Good luck with your ACT's. And migraines. And power outages. Well, I had this box full of 50 colored pencils, and I manage to drop it very often... the worst is when you drop it and all 50 spill down the crowded staircase... BTW is it alright if I add that to my list of quotes?
  9. Well, if you go by very general definitions... I grew a Venus flytrap once. I got to take over control of an airplane for about five minutes. I have written a couple hundred thousand words of story in my time on this Earth. I have written several songs and recorded an extremely rough version of one. More to follow. I went to the state competition for Improvisational acting. Nice to meet you, @Zoemacrossan and welcome to the forums!
  10. Nice job! Wait, that makes three Intrepids now. Huh, popular name.
  11. Either Minecraft, or planet Eve in Kerbal Space Program.
  12. Just again to let people know, if anyone wants theirs done by me, I can do it.
  13. Well, uh, assuming my brain would not explode, yes. If I understood everything then I understand a way to not understand the stuff I don't want to understand. If you press this button, there is a 1% chance 99.99% of everyone on this planet will die. There is a 49% chance that nothing happens. There is a 50% chance that you will be transported backwards in time to whenever you desire, provided it is not within two years of the present.
  14. Error: button not found. If you press this button, it will send an 18 mile wide asteroid onto a collision course with Earth. It will impact in three years time. 40% chance the world will fall into chaos with everyone trying to complete their bucket lists. Society falls apart. The asteroid hits and everyone dies. 10% chance that the world falls into chaos and everyone starts killing everyone. The asteroid hits and everyone dies. 10% chance that a group of evil people will take over the world. Everyone dies. 40% chance that the world manages to stay together and we launch several space missions to redirect the asteroid. Everyone lives, and the world is united by the effort to survive, leading to (almost) no more wars. There is (for the most part) world peace afterwards, and that 660 billion dollars the US spends annually on bombs and bullets is redirected to space exploration companies such as NASA and SpaceX.
  15. Welcome to the Time Travel game! How it works: One poster says "In five minutes, you will be sent backwards to the year *insert year/date.* From the time you arrive, you will have *insert amount of time* to *insert task.* If you fail, you are stuck in *insert time period* forever. The next poster will detail what they take with them and how they complete a task. Then, they leave a challenge for the next poster. Rules: 1) You are teleported back in time with whatever you are wearing/holding. 2) You may not go up to a skyscraper and "hold" it. The limit is anything you can realistically lift up. For example, you could probably lift a chair, but not a sofa. Not that you would want a sofa. 3) You always have five minutes to prepare. This is from where you are while you are reading the challenge. For example, if you are reading this on mobile and are in school eating lunch or something, assume what you can grab at school within five minutes. 4) Assume you are deposited onto a random inhabited piece of land. Inhabited means not the ice caps, not on tiny islands, and not in the ocean. 5) No impossible tasks, please. For example, you cannot realistically get a million dollars in five minutes. 6) Assume we live in a universe where paradoxes won't result in the universe exploding. 7) Don't be too unrealistic with your completion of the task. 8) The task may also specify a specific location you will time travel to. 9) If your timeframe is 80 years or so, and you are 80 years old, assume you get teleported back and your age is adjusted so you won't die of old age. 10) if you complete your task successfully you will be teleported back to present day, the same age as you were when you left. Example: Poster 1: In five minutes, you will be teleported back to a random location in the USA on January 26, 1986. In order to return safely to the present day, you must prevent the Challenger disaster. If you fail to complete this task within three days, you are stuck in that time period. Poster 2: Five minutes? Um, I quickly grab my supply of emergency cash, download the Wikipedia article on the Challenger disaster, and grab my 80's nerd outfit. I grab my laptop and charger, and stuff that and a few other outfits into my suitcase. *WHOOSH!* Oh, cool! I ended up in Colorado! I'll use my cash to pay for a quick airplane ticket to Florida and buy a good winter coat. It will be interesting explaining to the cashier my 2012 dollars... Now, I change into my nerd outfit and sneak into Cape Canaveral (or was it Kennedy?) and casually raise concerns about the O rings. If this doesn't work, I'll do my best to find one of the astronauts alone and tell them I was from the future, and that they are about to meet their doom. I would cite my laptop as proof I was from 2017. If that did not work, I would run out onto the launch pad a few minutes before launch and hopefully someone would notice me and stop the countdown and I'd tell them about the O-ring issue. If this didn't work, well, then I'd be locked away, and a day later I'd be proven right, I guess... If I happened to be stuck back in time, I'd go and watch Europe perform "The Final Countdown!" for the first time, provided I got out of jail. If five minutes, you will be teleported back to December 17, 1902. You have one year to make sure Samuel Langley is the first person to invent the airplane. This craft must fly successfully for at least ten seconds and be controllable. Fairly straightforward once you read it all. Let's begin! In five minutes, you will be sent back in time to July 20, 1969 at a random location in the USA. You will have twenty years to land a man on Mars. If you fail, you will be stuck in the past. Your five minutes to prepare starts... Now!
  16. Heh. I remember my first craft - it was four parts. Parachute, Mk1 pod, decoupler, RT-10. I see you went full LFO on your first one! Not related: My second craft was a rover. Mk1 pod, large girders on front and back. Four wheels stuck on the girders. Two Gigantors, which broke the second I moved forward.
  17. I literally have no idea why that is on my clipboard.
  18. Jokes on you, those were my lawn mowing shoes. Haven't mowed my lawn for a long time. Also, Mmm! Peanut butter! I fill your entire closet with peanut butter.
  19. Frame rate generally gets lower as your part count gets higher. This is generally unavoidable unless you use the Part Welding mod to combine parts together. If you're against another mod, try and build lower part count vessels in general. Knowing the part count of your vessel (that and a screenshot of it) would help.
  20. Yay, it's back! Do you still have the payload I submitted oh so long ago?
  21. Wow, I didn't expect such a response! I think this is the fastest growing thread I've ever made! OP is being edited. Additions: 1. Assume you can speak any language. 2. You can have them be living or dead, or make separate lists for each.
  22. If you have the time, you should make a cinematic of a station de-orbiting and this popping out of one of the cargo bays and pulling up right before the debris hits the ocean.
  23. Agh, I forgot about Mike! He would definitely be my sixth, if not replacing Buzz/Bean. One of my favorite captioned photos:
