Hello everyone!

I really really want to start programming with this mod, because I'm learning Java, and this just unites it with my favorite game ever!

However, I can't seem to make this work.

See if you guys can help me, or direct me to right direction. I already installed Python 3.6. Then I downloaded the Java Client from Github. I installed the mod on Gamedata as normal. I started trying to make the hello world tutorial for Java language.

Contrary to what the tutorial says about using the "javac" to compile the file, I discovered that you need to separate the "krpc-0.3.10.jar" and "protobuf" files with a " ; " and not a " : " or else it doesn't compiles.

Anyway, I got this to work, I compile the file, and end up with a file "testeJava.class", but I can't start it using "java testeJava" because of a JNI error right on my command prompt. This is the complete error:

Hey @kcs123 and @MaxRebo so, the problem was REALLY simple. I was downgrading to 1.1.3!!! Not just opting out of beta to 1.3. xD

Unfortunately, I have my career save on 1.3.1 so I'll need to wait a little more

I'll definitely wait for the oficial realease for 1.3.1!
I'll downgrade to 1.3 and fix the files to see if it works for the moment. Thank you very much!

Hello guys!
I'm trying to install the latest version of kOS (1.1.2) onto my KSP install, I'm running the latest pre-release (1.3.1) and it's simply not working.

The game loads until it's time to show the main menu, and just crashes. I was using a lot of visual mods, I removed them, and still crashes. I fixed the files of KSP, still crashes. I downgraded to 1.3 stable, still crashes ^_^
I can't go back to 1.2.2 because I'm recording a series.

Can anyone help me with this issue? Or is anyone having the same issue?

This is really great!

A great barrier for new players that aren't native english speakers is the language. With this more players will be able to play and more importantly LEARN about many things from the "rocket science" world (more like explosions world tbh) and although people were expecting more on this announcement please take note that localization is a really huge effort. It's almost writing the game from the beginning. Each hard-coded string had to be re-coded and the texts appearing on the menus and etc.

This will only improve the game from now on, and SQUAD can focus on squashing bugs and implementing features from now on.

And from me, a self-taught english speaker, I say thanks SQUAD, we know this wasn't easy, but have to be done

Fala galera, tudo bom? Eu sou o Pesterenan e venho aqui trazer boas novas!

Finalmente terminei a tradução do que é possível traduzir no jogo atualmente apenas usando o ModuleManager. Foram meses de trabalho (que na verdade poderiam ser dias, se eu parasse pra fazer isso de uma vez, mas, que seja) que renderam agora a versão final da tradução.
Esse MOD irá traduzir os textos da descrição de contratos, descrição de peças, experimentos, e texturas de algumas peças (outras peças tem a tex, mas dão erro se trocadas, pode ser bug do jogo).

Tá bom, tá bom, onde eu faço o download?

Aqui está a página no SpaceDock, para fazer o download, é só clicar no botão lá em cima.

Como eu instalo?

É bem simples, depois de fazer o download, é só colocar os arquivos do ".zip" dentro da pasta "GameData" do jogo, assim como a maioria dos MODS disponíveis até hoje.

O que esse MOD muda no jogo?

Apenas textos de contratos, experimentos, alguns botões de peças, nomes e descrições de peças, e algumas texturas, nada que modifique a jogabilidade. Alguns textos de menus também serão traduzidos agora.

~~Porque alguns menus/botões/objetivos/descrições ainda estão em inglês?~~

Infelizmente alguns textos estão codificados internamente no jogo, e não acessíveis por mods como o "ModuleManager" ou então precisariam de uma modificação nos arquivos internos do jogo, o que por sua natureza é contra a EULA do jogo, fazer tal modificação. Caso apareça algum Mod como o "LanguagePatches" (está pra ser atualizado) que permita modificar os textos, eu mesmo o farei.

Agora com o LanguagePatches, o jogo está mais traduzido, com direito a menus e alguns textos a mais.

Com qual versão esse Mod é compatível?

É compatível com as versões desde a 1.1.3 para frente.

Porque você é egoistão e não pediu ajuda de ninguém? Estol neuvosor...

Galera, eu não fiz o Mod pra querer ter todo o crédito atribuído a mim (aliás nem tem como pois o MM é do Sarbian) mas sim, o fiz para ajudar os jogadores que tem um conhecimento mais limitado do inglês, e acabariam perdendo as várias piadinhas que estão nas peças do jogo e etc. possam entender.
Eu resolvi fazer o Mod sozinho para poder dedicar o tempo às traduções, e não acelerar nada, fazer tudo no meu tempo, assim poderia verificar e deixar tudo certinho, para vocês.

Bom, acho que é isso, a tradução por enquanto está básica, mas pelo menos é tudo o que dá para traduzir no jogo, eu espero que gostem!

Ótima notícia!

Ja terminei toda a tradução de textos, consertei alguns bugs no ScienceDefs do jogo e também já implementei as texturas.

Um único problema é que alguns command pods não podem ter a textura externa e interna trocadas, e também a descrição dos contratos às vezes não serão tão corretas por causa da sintaxe da língua inglesa, mas nada que prejudique.

Agora é só aguardar! :wink:

I've already downloaded unity 5.4 and the part tools and will start to use it to translate the kspedia to my language. My question is, how can I open the .ksp files from the game, change the text in them, and save it separately on my mod so when the player installs it, the game reads my files instead of the standard ones?

I already used MM to translate a great part of the game and even textures, but translating the entire KSPedia would be the icing on the cake.

Vou ver se falo com o criador pra saber se o mod vai atualizar em breve.

Mas aparentemente pelo repositório há um commit para a versão "1.2", agora não sei se é port para a 1.2 ou o mod em si, pois já tem um mês. https://github.com/LanguagePatches/LanguagePatches-Framework

Se precisar só compilar isso eu poderia fazer, é rapidinho e a licença permite.

Se precisar somente recompilar eu já engato a quinta marcha e também já traduzo o texto e os menus!
Estou terminando as partes estruturais agora e as peças estarão traduzidas. Depois disso vou verificar os experimentos (alguns tem bug no jogo) e estará basicamente pronto.

Se conseguir o LanguagePatches seria bem maneiro!
