  1. Hello friends, me again. I think there is a problem involving ckan, realism overhaul and TAC. When trying to actualize appears a message saying "Oh no! We tried to overwrite a file owned by another mod!". I tried uninstalling both mods and re-installing first the one and then the other, and otherwise, but still getting the same error. I guess I could install manually, but i have all my mods installed via ckan and would like to keep it that way if possible. Any solution? Thanks and best wishes!
  2. Hello friends! I am playing RSS/RP-0 and just actualized this mod via ckan. It seems that the comsuption rates have changed, I know this can be changed in the in-game menu but now I can't know what those were, so if someone could point me to the realism overhaul consumption rates or just copy-paste them here I would be very thankful. Best wishes!
  3. Thank you Starfire! thanks to the help of some wise people over here I manage to solve this quite long ago. In my case, if I recall, it was something involving kopernicus, and I believe it has been solved in later releases. I haven't ecounter that issue again.
  4. I have just done a quick test... EVA... PERFECT!! No stutter at all. I have run the game for 5 minutes so I can't tell about long term performance, but it looks very very well. You guys are very good!!
  5. That sounds great! I will give it a try and let you know about my results asap. I can play very well with Sigma's fix, however I might have been getting some crashes among the ocasionally VAB one's, caused by 1.1.2 "personality", that I supposed are caused by the extra memory usage that Sigma mentioned. They don't happen very often though.
  6. Hello Padishar! Due to my computer ignorance and my English language weakness I haven´t understand very well your message, but I did understand your question and yes, I deleted Sigma's fix when I did that test. Best wishes!
  7. That would be a hard work as I have around 60... Let's see if your solution works. If I start crashing every 20 minutes then I guess I could spend a couple hours trying to find wich mod is keeping me from charting these lands!
  8. I don't have a very good pc but I will give it a try, don't mind crashing once in a while... Thank you so much for your help Sigma88!!
  9. YES AND YES!! You nailed it!! With those magic lines the EVA stutter vanished like smoke!! You are a genius!! And yes, the stutter is not present with only MM + kopernicus + Uncharted, so there must be some incompatibility there. Anyway, it's ok to play with that cfg trick or might it affect me in other ways?
  10. Thank you Sigma! That was easy, unfortunately the stutter is still there. I have searched the log to see if the same exception appeared and no, the word "asteroid" is not in the log. So who knows what might be causing this! The thing is that keeping the same mods without kopernicus + uncharted there was no stutter... Anyway, thanks for your help!
  11. Hello friends! It's me again. I came by to ask if there might be a way around the problem I explained a few post above. From my complete ignorance I was wondering if, as it seems to be a problem related to asteroids, it could be possible to just deactivate asteroids, until KillAshley finds the time or will to fix it. I don't know if that is feaseable or even if it would solve this issue, but I'm trying to build a moon base where EVA is completely necessary, and this stutter makes it impossible. The game runs and freezes in 0.5 sec interval only during EVA, and after 10 minutes you start to go crazy. I understand KillAshley has a lot of things going on right now and it seems not many people is experiencing this, so I expect this to be low priority. So my questions to the experts are: Is it possible to deactivate asteroids? If so, how? and, Do you think that could solve my problem? Thank you!
  12. Hello friends! I'm using this mod with the liquid fuel patch and I find the costs of the engines very low. LV100, LVN50 and LVN500 cost 3500 kerbucks while LVNGE cost 9100. Is this intended this way? Am I missing something? Best wishes!
  13. Dear RoverDude, I know you invented the mod and all that but I'm affraid your way wrong with this assumption. I've been talking to Bill Kerman and he explained to me why they behave like this in lack of supplies: Kerbals don't need supplies, their organism can survive forever without any income. However, they just love them. Those supplies are just candy, icecream, chips and snickers. They eat it like the blue fellow of Sesame Street (don't know his name in English): nothing goes in, they just chew them and everything fall back from their mouth in an awful mess they call mulch. Now, Kerbals love to be in space but when they sign for the Space Program, although they do it for free, they include in their contract they can't be more than 15 days without supplies. If those days are done, if the player (as employer) doesn't fullfil the contract, they as employees refuse to work. I told to Bill it seemed reasonable, but there are times when their life is in danger an could be saved only by pushing a button. He just laugh and said "We are a much more advanced civilization than yours and have alredy demonstrated scientificly the existance of heaven and, anyway... a contract is a contract". Lately Kerbal have become more fussy and now they demand accomodations and vacations. What is going to be next? Money? When I was young a Kerbal could be stranded in a pod for centuries without a complain!!
  14. Thank you KillAshley! I'm glad I could help a little. Just to let you know, I'm having a great time playing "hardcore-no-reloading" with this mod combine with 4xSigma Dimensions. Unfortunately, my poor little kerbals are not so excited: they have recently lost two of their kind in a too optimistic aproach to Dres. Now it's time to throw some satellites to those uncharted planets of yours while starting a surface base on the mun with Roverdude's MKS things. Let's see if the Kraken agrees...!
  15. Hello KillAshley and uncharted friends! I have a problem that might be caused by this mod. I experience a very big stuttering only when I put a kerbal in EVA, otherwise the game runs fairly well. This problem dissapear if I delete kopernicus + uncharted lands. I have posted in the technical support forum: In there you can find a better description of the issue, the analysis Padishar made and the log I uploaded, in case you would like to lend me a hand. Thanks in advance and best wishes!
  16. Padishar, thank you very much for your answer, it really seems you are pointing to the right direction. Deleting Scansat didn't make any difference but if a take out kopernicus + uncharted lands the problem dissapears. I have no idea about computers but reading the lines you found in my log it seems to have something to do with asteroids. There is a cfg file in Uncharted lands called "AsteroidSpawns", I tried to delete only this file but the stutter still persists. I will ask in the Uncharted lands forum to see if anyone can lend me a hand. Thanks again for your time!
  17. Thanks for the answer Padishar. I have done what you suggested.
  18. Hello friends, I'm having an issue I haven't found in the forums yet. My game runs fairly well until I put a kerbal in EVA. Once in EVA I'm experiencing a very heavy stutter (1 sec on - 0.5 sec off) even if i get outside the physics range of the ship. When I get back in the ship the game comes back to run correctly. I'm not very sure what is causing it. With a single pod at the launchpad, I EVA and the game freezed every 10 seconds or so, but then I changed to a ship I had in orbit and it happens every second again. It happens too while landed in other bodys. There are not big part counts nor crazy stuff, just normal ships-landers. It's the first time I post in "Technical support" so please excuse me if there is something wrong. I have uploaded the log I found in KSPx64_Data folder: https://www.dropbox.com/s/o9v83b46cwbqxr6/output_log.txt?dl=0 Mod list: Anyone else experiencing this problem?
  19. Hello! I am having really hard stuttering (1 sec on / 0.5 sec off) only when I put a kerbal in EVA. Even when I fly away out of the physics range of the ship. However, when the kerbals are inside the ship the game runs fairly well (with glitches and crashes, but playable). I have quite a few mods installed and actualized. I've been reading many posts about stuttering but I haven't find anyone with this specific and anoying issue. I was wondering if I am the only one experiencing this. It is acceptable if you only go out to grab a surface sample or so, but now I'm going to start building a munar base and I think it is going to be impossible if this stuttering persists...
  20. I can't agree with this way of seeing the situation. Just imagine: -After 1.04 (for example) Squad starts to develop PRIVATELY 1.1, maybe hiring a couple of guys with experience in unity 5. -By the time 1.05 it's out they have made a lot of testing with unity 5 and find out that upgrading will introduce a lot of bugs and problems to quite a few people. -They decide to hold the upgrade and wait to Unity 5 to solve their problems, or find another engine or way to make the upgrade. -While this happens, they keep on working on 1.05 introducing things that can be used in the future upgrade, maybe the comunication network, the flickering orbit lines, the kraken of Pol... just go into the bug tracker and pick a few. They release one last 1.0 upgrade that doesn't brake any mod. -When they finally get a finished 1.1 version THEY DON'T PUBLISH IT. They hire 5 or 10 long time players to play the game for a couple of weeks with a testing protocol, with different computers, etc. Then expend the time necesary to solve the bugs encountered. -They publish an excellent 1.1 update that last stable for months, the mods take 3 or 4 weeks to update, and that's it, from now on they can focus on developing and not in trying to make the mod compatible with the new version. Wouldn't it be nice?? I love KSP and I love Squad, but I really find very upsetting the lack of self-criticism they show. If you read what they say it seems they think they are doing everything just fine. By this time I would really apreciate just a little apology. "Man, we didn't expect to cause so much trouble, we thought it would work better, we are sorry we had to publish patches to our work, we will try to to make it better in the future".
  21. Thank you so much RocketBlam! You have just make me proud! As it was my first post in the forums I spent a good time checking for mistakes.
  22. I have just encounter another "ship eater" kraken!! I found one interplanetary probe with no conection (with remote tech) and when I checked my relay network I found 3 of my 6 LKO communication satellites had vanished, nowhere to be found in the map view or in the tracking station. I had them in a perfectly Hyperedited orbit among their brothers and worked just fine for several in-game months. Then sudenly... pufff. It reminds me to "The Leftovers" series... Why those three and not the others? Why three and not two or four? The Kraken acts in misterious ways indeed... I run a lot of mods so I can't tell what is the cause of this terrible kraken atack. Kopernikus + Uncharted Lands + Sigma Dimensions maybe... or Hyperedit? No idea. Since 1.1 I'm having glitches, kraken atacks and crashes all the time!
  23. I have been working in Mexico for a construction company and the lowest category worker (I don't know the word in English, just hard working men with no qualifications carrying stuff and such things) got around 1100 pesos a week, 62 dolars, that would make around 3200 USD a year, and believe me, even in Mexico that is very, very little, enough for only the most basic things. I find dificult to believe someone would get paid that little for an engineering full time work, and even more dificult someone would accept that salary! Anyway, I don't have an opinion about working conditions at Squad, as only the people working there know how they are. Squad is very free to pay their employees what they think as employees can leave the job whenever they want to. However I do have an opinion as a client and I find all these past months of Hype / pre-release / release / patch / patch... and continuing, unacceptable. I am no computer expert but I have played many games and used many programs, and they could be more or less enjoyable or useful, but they all worked. A program can crash under very special circumstances once in a month or so. A program can't have bugs, they must be solved before it gets to the client, and if a bug comes out it must be fixed right away even with an apologie to the client. I find these things to be basic proffesionalism. I can't imagine what would happen if I did my job as civil engineer Squad's way (well, actually I can imagine, I would be in jail!). I don't know the reasons of Squads behavour but it wouldn't surprise me hard working conditions and low wages are factors involved, specially in engineering jobs where peoples implication and compromise is vital. "If I find a bug in the game... why am I going to tell about it? Then I will have to stay all night fixing it and I have this tiny salary, and no extra-hours... I better leave it and let other find it, or when the release is out hopefuly I will have found another job." This is a very reasonable temptation. I'm not saying this is the case, but I believe it is consistant with the actual state of the game.
  24. In that case it becomes clearer that this is going to be my planet pack for next season! The first time I downloaded Uncharted lands I had some isues with the Laythe/Tylo binary system (It didn't appeared in the tracking station and the game crashed) but I reinstalled the mod a couple of times and the problem disappeared so I blamed the actual adaptation period of mods and KSP (I don't remember if it was in 1.1.0 or 1.1.1). Anyway, I also installed Sigma Dimensions and gave it a try and it seemed to work fine, but I only send a pair of ships to the moon, nothing big. I haven't yet tried 1.1.2, but if everything works (fingers crossed) I am going to be "chartering" these uncharted lands very soon. Thank you for your answers!
